Well I didn't really know who to tip last night. Good game and a good come back too.

 

Here is who I think will win for the rest of the round. (Winners in green on the left)

 

Melbourne vs Fremantle

At the MCG I think Melbourne will be too strong at home.

 

Adelaide vs Kangaroos

At AAMI stadium the crows can do well.

 

Brisbane vs Essendon

I think Brisbane might just win this game, even if it is at Telstra, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Dons get away with a win.

 

West Coast vs Sydney

At Subiaco the Eagles do very well and I think they can get on top of the Swans.

 

Geelong vs Bulldogs

Geelong at skilled against a Bulldogs side that hasn't been playing as good as other teams.

 

St Kilda vs Collingwood

St Kilda have been playing just too good.

 

Port Adelaide vs Richmond

Richmond have played well, but just not well enough, and Port are due for a win.

Another close encounter, this time 14 - 10 to Canberra. They played the whole 2nd half with only 2 bench players, and having Steve Simpson in the centres. Ah well.

Brisbane Broncos defeated Manly Sea Eagles 38 - 12

 

The Broncos smashed the competition leaders Manly in a powerful display at home on Friday night. The score would have been a lot bigger but for Darren Lockyers poor kicking. The win made it 300 wins for Wayne Bennet - the highest of any coach in League history.

 

Melbourne Storm lost to Sharks 10 - 30

 

In the match dubbed as 'the battle of the NSW Half-backs', Brett Kimorley out-shone Matty Orford in a big win over Melbourne. The Sharks became joint comp leaders with the win, and share that position with 4 other teams.

 

Bulldogs defeated Parramatta Eels 30 - 16

 

The Dogs played well, but not greatly, in a solid win against the enigmatic Eels on Saturday. The Eels dropped to 11th place, and the Dogs back up to 9th.

 

North Queensland Cowboys defeated Sydney Roosters 38 - 18

 

The Cowboys rocketed to first position on the NRL table with a strong win over the Roosters. It was revenge at its finest after the Roosters ended the Cowboys 2004 campaign in the qualifying final last year.

 

NZ Warriors lost to Penrith Panthers 14 - 16

 

The Panthers stayed in the hunt until the end to scrape away with a 2 point win in New Zealand. In a moment of brilliance from hooker Luke Priddis, the Panthers stole the game from the Warriors.

 

Newcastle Knights lost to Canberra Raiders 10 - 14

 

In a very poor, scrappy match in Newcastle, the Raiders defeated the Knights for the second time this season. Newcastle's luck continued to elude them, as they were left with only 2 bench players, and Steve Simpson playing in the centres by half time, due to injuries. Newcastle remain the only team in the NRL without a win after 8 rounds.

 

Wests Tigers lost to Saint George Illawarra Dragons 32 - 40

 

The Dragons staged a stunning comeback in the second half to claw back into the lead against the greatly improved Tigers. Mark Gasnier was brilliant, in scoring 2 tries and setting up a third to inspire the Saints to their 3rd win of the season.

i played in the Under 15 side today, i made a comeback, havent played in 3 years.

 

The team we played was good as, and we only had 19 players, i played in the Forward Pokket the entire game, i got 2 kicks, 2 marks, 1 handball, and 2 tackles.

 

And i kicked a point!!!!!!!!

 

go me, i totally shanked it though, it was a tight angle and it was on the wrong side for me.

Your tips are looking alright but I'd suggest to stay away from the Adelaide teams. They're both in for big losses next weekend.

I personally think Central Coast needs a team, as they already have everything there ready. They have hosted some good NRL matches in the past too. Mainly because my Dad won't shutup about his beloved Bears.

i remember there was an article about the storm thinking of going to the Gold Coast cos they got like no fan basis here, youd think AFL would kill NRL in melbourne.

Yes I can, and I am . They may not be the favourites, but I honestly think those teams have a god chance of winning. I admit, I did chose alot of underdogs, but its too early in the season to ride them off.
