Tutorial Requests

is there anyway someone can post a complete Script for VCMM

ive searched everywhere for this and i just find masses and masses of posts saying how crap VCMM is and (_IMG) txt's

and its not vcm its the scripts that are crap sad.gif

 

i want to install a BIKE (the sanchez)

but i want to do it as a General mod

 

i no how to tell the packer to add the DFF.TXD & Col into the VCM

but i don’t no how to program it to rename specific files within the IMG

 

i need to

replace TXD & DFF

Import col

Add handling, IDE and carcols and display name

 

(as a General install)

as its people installing vehicles over the wrong vehicles that gives vcm such a bad name

 

please don’t post the same tut every other site has, as its way to confusing

and most people who Quote the post don’t even understand it them selves

so its not going to help me sad.gif

 

anyways ive seen this requested a few times and no one seams brave enough to approach the subject

so im bringing the subject back to the light

what i have worked out so far

(wich took forever to make VCM above 2kb in size)

 

 

$sanchez_col = include('C:\Mod\sanchez.col');$sanchez_txd = include('C:\Mod\sanchez.txd');$sanchez_dff = include('C:\Mod\sanchez.dff');

 

 

i also have this

image_renamefile('\models\gta3.img','sanchez.txd','sanchez.old');

but is that right or is it

$image_renamefile('\models\gta3.img','sanchez.txd','sanchez.old');

 

also i have

image_addfile('\models\gta3.img','sanchez.txd');

but should'nt that start with $ ?

 

then theres the IDE and handling the display name and carcols, im lost

 

can anyone post a full script so alls i have to do is replace actual config lines & file names, even a car script would do as long as it involves adding handling, ide, carcols, and col and replacing file in IMG

(so it can be uninstalled)

i would like if someone make my a super big gun of nuclear missiles that remplace the rocketlauncher the desert eagle gold version remplace the phyton...and make the uzi9mm a small weapon like this...

there used to be a tutorial WIP when i was here a few months ago, i guess it got pushed off or deleted because i can't find it anywhere but it was a full tutorial on how to model a new car for vc, it covered the hierarchy, and even how to get custom wheels working, anyone have a copy of it or know where it is now?

Can some really kind person post a tutorial on to make a map using moo mapper. And show how to use rockstars streets without the game crashing. And could some one please post how to use Odies road pack in Moo mapper because it doesnt show the roads does it?

Can someone explain to me how exactly the 'timed objects' work. I wanted to make a door thats open during the day, and closed during the night. So I just made a gap (open door) and a closed door. I thought: when I make the closed door a timed object wich shows only during the night, I'd have what I wanted. Now it looks allright. The closed door shows up at night and dissappears at daytime, but it's COL doesn't. So, during the day, My closed door-model is gone, but when I want to walk through the gap, I hit the COL from the closed door. sad.gif What am I doing wrong?? Anybody?

Well i hope this gets read by someone and not get lost in the 300 other requests but

 

i was wondering if some1 could make a tutorial in making general mods in vcmp (Vice City Mod Packer) i already know how to make cars with it but i want to know how to make other things. it would be good if it had the command codes and an example of how to do it. i know people out there know how to do it so pls make a tutorial of how!

Hi there,

 

Could someone please make a tutorial on how to texture using 3ds Max as this appears to be an overlooked area and would solve a few issues that some folks have with Z-modeler (i.e. selections disapearing in UV when zooming out).
