Many thanks for that nice act.

Good day guys! I just wanna know how to make vehicles mods textures in GTA San Andreas into "SA Style." That's all, thanks!

See point #13 on this thread, it's an exhaustive list for all of the SA shared vehicle textures. Given it's a shared texture dictionary, all vehicle ID's in the game will be associated with it, thus you can really cut down on .txd size as you'd only need to add custom seat textures and unique decals.

Essentially the most common textures and uses are:

vehicleenvmap128: the chrome env map that's rendered around primarily metallic vehicle parts.
vehiclegeneric256: a combined texture atlas of various generic textures such as engine, underbody, exhaust, gradients, bumpers, window glass (when adjusting opacity of material), bike tyre, grill, etcetera. Really useful.
vehiclegrunge256: the "dirt" or "wear" look that's applied to vehicles. All vehicles should have it applied as their first UV mapping material, where the 2nd is the xvehicleenv128 for fake reflections.
vehiclelights128: the vehicle lights, these are hardcoded into the game and have their "on" variant as well so that the game properly switches to illuminated lights when the vehicle lights toggle on. you don't need to give them the vehicle light colorcode if you don't want them to actually illuminate though.
vehiclespecdot64: the specularity image for faking per-vertex lighting onto the vehicle, it also gives the vehicle a bit of illumination, so it's highly recommended you use it often else it'll be very bland so to say.

Customizing UV mapping for SA styled vehicles is really easy. You often enough can use a planar or cube projection. (3ds max)

Thanks dude! But I have these questions again, how could I add engine models of SA Vehicles into other vehicles for it to have "SA Style engine", the same with exhaust, gas cap, and such. Thanks!

For this I would just get ingame and check which vehicles has a suitable motor model etc and then load that vehicle into Max, detaching the parts and linking them to my project vehicle.

(San Andreas)

Hi folks, I'd like to know how to prevent a specific car to spawn in singleplayer. I want the Elegy to stop spawning because I have a AE86 mod for that car. Anyone know how I can go about doing this? Thanks!

(GTA 2)

Hi there, I installed the Nissan Sileighty (180SX) '91 car mod from gtagarage.com

It is said there that I need to replace the "Arachnid" file into the mod file

I don't see any file that is named "Arachnid" in the game data folder

Can anyone help me??? I got the mod here: https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=8905

NOTE!: if I am breaking the GTA modding rules, please remind me instead of giving me a warning, its my first time here in this GTA Modding forum

Here are a few instances that I wish I could explore about:

  • How to import npcs, buildings ,cars from one DE Game to another (Eg: I want a specific vehicle from SA:DE in VC:DE)
  • Replacing character's 3D models, there are various sites where people share their 3D models of the character/player but they are in some different form, how do I use those files to replace the existing 3d models in the game.
  • Replacing certain buildings inside a game. Eg: Vice City has many repetitive buildings it possible to import some of the buildings from other GTA games or 3D models that are available online?
  • The possibility of getting the Jetpack from San Andreas in Vice city (With same animations ,physics ,controls & sound)

Guys, I tried to modify some GXT files of Chinatown Wars on the Android version and when I turned the file back into OBB, the game wouldn't open (a download screen appeared). It's the original version of the game. What's the trick to modify Android game files? If there's already a tutorial on this, I'd appreciate it if you could send me the link.
