ok ineed a tutorial on how to use 3ds max to import modelsi have made in sketchup (i can do that) and place them then export them all seperatelyas dff col and maybe txd, but then also the ide and ipl, to save any errors and time in MEd, much appreciated anyone who can help.

OK I'm not requesting a tutorial. Please just tell me what is the notepad file that says the custom firsts clothes of CJ (airport first cutscene) so I can change it...

Thats not in a Notepad file. Its in the Main.SCM.

Thank you man cookie.gifcookie.gifcookie.gif , bu' I open the main.smc file in Sunny Builder and it looks "Chinese" to me. smile.gif What's the line of the intro clothes?

I would like a tutorial on How to make a GTA San Andreas Trainer.

The tutorial on www.gtasamodder.com did not help because the voice is not that clear and I dont understand the part when " you enter the DWORD in the vb6 and what symbol you need to put. sad.gifsad.gifsad.gifsad.gifsad.gif

I'm trying to figure out how to do this in GTA:SanAndreas.

Could someone write a tutorial on how to REPLACE game objects, NOT add them (because there's already quite a few tutorials on adding stuff). And I specifically I'm talking about the main character "CJ" in San Andreas. I'd like to COMPLETELY SWITCH the CJ model for a REPLACEMENT. (the character I have in mind is an anime character by the way biggrin.gif). The character I'll be using for my replacement has just 2 files, a txd file, and a dff file. (at least I think they were spelled txd and dff). By REPLACING them, rather than adding them, I won't need to alter the scripts. I should just be able to swap out CJ's model files for an alternate set of model files.

 

I'd really like it if someone could write a tutorial for me on how to actually do what I just described. Step by step, with names of modding programs (and possible links) would be nice, so the tutorial would be made in such a way that even a modding noob like me could understand.

You have to make 3D models. You need 3D Studio Max, there are thousands of 3DS tutos in the net. It is not easy, but you can learn.

 

Then you have to rig the player you make, using my rigging tuto.

 

 

But doing a toal conversionof CJ with all clothes, its really dificult. Would take ALOT of time.

 

Some mods taht compeltetly replace Cj took like 2 years for example.

You REALLY misunderstood my post. I ALREADY HAVE THE MODELS! I don't have to make any. I downloaded them, and the files for the downloaded model are ready to insert as REPLACEMENTS for CJ. But how to replace CJ's model with the one I downloaded is what I need help on.

 

I know there's already a dozen tutorials on how to add character models. But what I want to do is MUCH simpler. I just want to REPLACE the CJ model with another one. SURELY that is easier than adding new models and then swapping them in-game with a key combination.

 

Please, someone make a tutorial on how to REPLACE the CJ model with a downloaded model consisting of 1 "txd" files and 1 "dff" file. I've looked ALL OVER this site (and several other GTA sites, and GTA threads on other game sites) for such a tutorial and can't find EVEN ONE! The only ones I can find are the ones that use the STUPID procedure of adding models, then switching models in-game. I want a SMART tutorial, one that show how to REPLACE the CJ model with a downloaded model.

I know that some portions of the game support adding while others support replacing, if you could replace CJ then you should just take that and run, I've replaced a character or two, ok, I just added the Candy Suxx ped to SA but it was more or less easy. Then there were other mods that went in fine with just the img tool and others that made the game crash if installed any other way than SAMI. Moral of the story, backup and delete, else just replace, if you can't do one without running into problems and can't find a tut or nothing, then it prob just isn't supported by the game and thusly, anybody else.

Hey, I need a cleo 3 tutorial that contains :

1. command lists (player.defined, actor.setimmunities, etc) = I need to know what are the commands and how to use them all

 

2. "a very simple" tips/example how to make a cm and fxt then how to load the texts

 

That's all, the conclusion is I want to learn cleo 3 coding without thinking hard.

hey can some1 please make a tutorial on how a stripped vc main file (like the one you get with he vc mission builder pack) works and how to make the first mission (simple) from that stage e.g using the stripped main, make a first mission so the player spawns normal then runs into a marker then executes the mission where he has to get to the other marker in under a time limit., the main file closes the mission and you re-spawn somewhere else. or even if you could explain how the stripped main file works that would be great there's no tutorials that says how the vc main file works and too start making a mission. (I searched the tutorial forums and found only other useful info on spawning objects.) Here’s a link to the vc coding mission builder download for anyone that doesn’t have ti or know what it is. Also there’s 3 tripped mission in it, if you could show us how the mostly stripped file works that would be great

Ok a really nice tut would be a step by step going from setting up car blueprints in max explaining how each tool works and how to use them to take blueprints and make them into a model.

Dude, look in the internet, there are many. We are talking about modeling in 3D MAX.

I would like a tutorial on creating LODs.

Steve-m made a quick tut back in 2005 I believe about LODs. That's how every SA mapper learnt imo.

Need a TUT on linking, importing, lightmoding, lighting(maken new lights)

 

to sum it up. im working on a car. im trying to import a nice lightbar to it. when i import it and place it to where i want it. i got to export the mod and it gives me errors on what i imported. so i needs tut on how to import and link and lightmoding and lighting. if you understand this and can do it thanks and im very Greatfully to you
