Signature Size Rules

Recommended Posts

I can't count, so about the image size?

Doesn't matter, as long as its not bigger than 500x150 (total sig size) and isn't more than 80kb smile.gif. Yes that means if you want you can have a giant stonking Black 500x150 rectangle and not be pwned for it tounge.gif lol.

I'm happy with mine as it is lol smile.gif no need for a big f*ck off sig. By the way, would anyone care to post a webstie that tells you all the code for these kinda boards? I mean whats wrong with HTML (ok yes you can f*ck up the page majorly but meh i know boards that have it enabled and no one gives a sh*t smile.gif)

There you go Marky!

Great implentation of this new concept. I've always had a legal sig! Aren't i lovely!

Good idea but it didn't work for me. I was told my sig was too wide by an admin but the box was green: user posted image. Maybe its because it was text that was making it long.

Another thought; why not not put the text wrap on when it when it gets to a certain width?

Seems fine to me dude, maybe there was a timing problem with the posting of this topic and the actual installation of the changes?
Must have been...was that why there was a longer, second downtime? Anyway, when we first introduced the idea of limiting the overall signature area rather than the individual things people threw in them we should have dedicated ourselves then and there to finding a solution to visually display oversized sigs in the edit signature template.

Now it's up it seems fine to me. I didn't realise my signature was so fantastically compact until I saw how that green line dwarfs it! tounge2.gif Any chance you could post the code which makes the red lines appear when the signature container has to stretch too far? I'm thinking it's done by layering fixed-size, green DIV's (or similar element) over expandable, red ones?

I think a 100x100 avatar is a good idea to, it is standard on most forums and I don't think many people will have problem with it.

And a avatar size limit of 8 Kb or something like that.

And I like the new Sig rules plenty of room and the image size of 80Kb should be more then enough to.

Er, it's just 4 green images with red set as the background colour for the cells?

Cool. Well-coded little checker you've got there. Should work well.

It's also nice to finally have all the aspects - punishment, regaining sig rights, and whatnot all set in stone.

Good work boys. smile.gif

P.S. Increase in size is also appreciated. tounge.gif

It's gonna take some getting used to, seeing all these monster signatures on GTAF.

Damnit, sigs are too big! Half of the challenge in signatry is getting it to fit, and now it's barely a problem. The limit should be 350x70 if you ask me, but since you've shoved it in my face I will use it to make really ugly behemoth sigs.
