So I was in Jazz Band, and was thinking. I wanna RR-5. But I need a more jazzy guitar, so I was thinking ESP Eclipse-II VTB. But I could wait and see what the ESP 2006 line-up is. But then the RR-5 might be sold here locally. But I need a jazzy guitar...

well, I dont own a gituar, but I can play them. my dad has 2 acoustics:

 

1st one is a 1962 Kay brand with a sunburst finish, similar to this one:

imagine that, plus a plate added to the face. my dad added that.

 

the second one is a second hand greth. I dont know the model, and my dad doesnt know what year it is. he got it in 1975.

 

I love that kay of his, but maybe he can part with the 2nd hand greth.

Anyways, I got a NS-2 (Noise Surpressor), GE-7 (Equalizer), MD-2 (Mega-Distortion), and DS-1 (Distortion) a couple of weeks ago, not sure if Iput it up.

How's the GE-7? I was thinking about buying one or two of those when I have some cash. And some sort of power supply to run to multiple pedals at once.

Well, it's not THAT good. If you want an actual EQ, just buy a rack product, that should work better.

 

It works pretty good if you want to keep it simple.

I've only just started learning how to play my guitar, learnt Smoke on the Water and part of AC/DC's Whole Lotta Rosie, I know they're simple as f*ck, but it feels good when you can actually play something, as I'm sure you guys know.

Learn the intro to Master of Puppets. It's simple enough to be played slowly, and it's a good exercise to build speed and practice with.

Err, when you strum it, you have to slightly graze it with your thumb, so before you pic downwards, you'd change the shape of your picking hand, so that your thumb would graze it too.

 

It also works on different places on different strings.

You can't be serious. I have a Gibson Les Paul and a Fender Strat, and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite overall. And my Fender amp sounds great.

Well, I personally can't stand Les Pauls, I don't like the way they look, the way they sound or the way they play... But meh...

 

Telecaster's suck, that's why I love mine, it sounds like crap, I like it like that . Well, it's a nice sound, just, umm, 'unrefined'...

 

My Ibanez sounds much more 'rawr' and smoother, so I use that for louder stuff, obviously...

 

Anyway next guitar on hitlist - SG... Standard obviously...

There older stuff was so much better. Now they're cutting back on costs. i.e. woods, quality, etc.

 

I just don't like Fender. It's a personal thing. I was thinking of getting the Yngwie sig though.

Marshall is over-rated. Crappy distortion, and acceptable cleans. Gibson has been cutting back on quality.

 

If anything, ESP is under-rated. They're awesome f*cking guitars.
