Cool glitch

I found this out myself!!!

 

To drive a destroyed car, first, go and jack a car, from the driver's seat, not the passenger's. When you have got about half of your body in the car, i.e. one leg is still outside, press escape and type bigbang. Once you press escape again, the car will blow up, but you will be sitting inside it safe and sound. The car would be still on fire and would explode again, so type aspirin, and there you have, a destroyed car to drive . Note that it only works on a car with a driver inside, not on a parked car, and also sit in form the driver's side. It does not work with bikes .

 

I don't know whether it works on the ps2 version . I have only tested it on pc.

Now that would be tricky to do. Was it a fluke that it happened or were you actually trying to do that?

 

Seriously... I cant be bothered trying it on the Ps2, so someone else will have to do so.

and this is my way to do the same:

find a car with no driver, go to few meters away from doors and type "bigban" without last "g"

hit enter, and when you pull driver our on half type the last "g" letter to blow up the car - the effect is pretty much same..

Looks like they kept this glitch from GTA3. Just wanted to mention that it doesn't work on cars that can't be sprayed, but doing Vigilante in a destroyed car with 3 wheels is quite the challenge!

if you type in bigbang a lot o' times, the car would launch in the air. the more times u type it, the higher the car goes. dont forget to type in aspirin!

this has been a well known glitch forever, and it does work on ps2 for both III and Vice City. Look around a codes page some time, generally this will be listed, or at very least, search before you post a topic.

Not that it was still in VC, but it was known in GTA3 for a long time.

Can you get it resprayed like a normal car?

Yes you can. Except for the usuals: Police, Ambulance, etc.

When you respray you get wheels and such fixed but it stays blackened. The color does not save in a garage though.

Yeh ill have to give it a try...but once u get in..when its already blown up...why would it go on fire again.,..i dont get that....

i knew that long time, i used it with my trainer, done some crazy

sniping vicecity car tires off flying blown-up cars, quite a challenge..

I tried it but the car catches fire and I end up dieing.

Once you're inside and the car is on fire, you have to use the health cheat to restore it.

That's like what I used to do in GTA3: knock off a few doors, a bumper or whatever, until the car starts smoking. Then do the health cheat and knock off more doors. You end up with a car with nothing left to fall off it.

i dunno if anyone said this yet but it's not really a glitch it's just the programmers of vice city never anticipated somebody would try to "drive a blown up car" and when they programmed in the cheats they decided to let you enter them when paused (leavemealone for example) so add the two together and you can drive a blown up car WOW who cares.
