Nope, it can't be done. Do you want a detailed explaination why or is it enough to say that I'm the person who deconstructed the file format for animations.

Meh, If you got the time I would like to hear why just cause I am curious.

If not thats cool, I figure you know way more then me about it.

 

I would still like to go with the payphone blocks like I mentioned earlier if thats still possible?

since the city is being moved, I'll release what I have until now so that it can be moved too, and then work from there, it's basically better car paths for staunton, ped paths in more places (parks, subways, etc) and lots of stuff corrected.

CAR PACK VERSION 1.1

 

What's new in this version:

 

-Updated Packer (Knux)

-LCPD Maverick (MarkPagliaro)

-Updated Wheels Pack (Craig)

-Updated vehicle.col (garbage truck and some other cars) (Knux)

as we said ,the packer should stay in GTA:LC, but the VC version is an "old" version, so it's the GTA3 (new) style version, I kept the GTA style like if the packer was always in GTA3.

A couple of small bugs in the 1.1 fix:

 

There's a Florida license plate on the back of the Packer (the front is correct)

 

The BF Injection should be ignored in the default.ide.

 

That's all I see so far. Everything else looks good.

The Vice City Injection owns the one from GTA3, but it needs an update. I'll probally get around to that at some point.

 

Anyway, we're still in the "exploring fun" part of the conversion, so the Injection should be left in the traffic for the time being.

 

On the other hand...there's nothing stopping anyone from re-enabling it themselves.

 

EDIT Found an error. The carcol for the Yakuza Stinger (Pheonix) needs to be changed to "pheonix, 76,14"

Ah, I saw a whole list and figured it was unchanged. Now that I look at it, they're all the same color.

 

 

About the BF, I know that the VC one is better, it's up to Demarest to want the GTA3 one or the GTAVC one with GTA3 colors.

 

I have an updated BF Injection on my project list. I'm going to remove the roof lights and change the taillights to the flat GTA3 style.

There are alot of cars in VC that look alot better than in GTA3 that are the same, like the Sentinel amongst others, but this is the direct port of GTA3 but Demarest may want to change some things. Or it would be un-official. smile.gif

Yup. I remember my oops. But it was pointed out when 1.0 was released that the BF should have been ignored. I thought you would have changed it.

 

And the pheonix carcol is what it should be in pack 1.1. Having 8 copies of the same value helped us cut down on the black car bug. So "phenoix, 76,14, 76,14, 76,14, 76,14, 76,14, 76,14, 76,14, 76,14" is the same as "pheonix, 76,14"

You already know my vote: Keep the GTA3 models. But if I'm not the one working on them, I have to go along with whatever the author decides upon. I can only hope that for the spirit of the mod itself, they will keep it GTA3.

 

As for the Packer, it should only be available as part of the first official add-on, which will include the enabling of the Packer, Helis, Bikes, and Skimmer if we can get the Dodo to co-exist with it.

That banner texture's newspaper01_64.bmp in particle.txd, the trade off is that it's also used in generating the newspaper 'litter' kicking around the city... guess that show's R* being as efficient as usual. dozingoff.gif

Im not totally sure, i think so. I just downloaded the file and ran it through the same program as the others. I checked in the path editor, it certainly doesnt have less paths, so i assume its an update from Kipo. Is that right kipo?

Interesting little development. I went to add LC license plates to the bike textures, and, lo and behold, the PCJ already has one. Makes me wonder if bikes weren't meant to be part of GTA3 all along.

 

Anyway, here's the new plates. They look a little stretched vertically (or squished horizontally, depending on how you look at it), but there's not much I can do about that.

 

I got the Angel, Freeway, Faggio, PCJ600, and I fixed the Packer as well.
