Unless you're commenting on the message itself. The GXT is FAR from finished and in fact has barely been touched ATM.

Certainly is a problem with the glass as com_munation.dff hasn't been fixed yet, but Mark's working on the new Staunton update so it should be addressed soon.

 

The missing models are the wrecked cars in the Columbian compound, download the Additional Staunton Models to fix those.

 

And finally, the graffiti on the wall outside 8Balls has always been there. tounge2.gif

I just rembered that i had an old php script lying around that creates a 'on the file directory' in which ever folder you place it in, so i put it in our gta:lc directory. So now instead of manualy linking to each file you can just go to http://www.xplaygames.com/gtalc and select which files you want to download, which makes things a bit easier biggrin.gif

You're right, they're not. Their shadow's actually a alpha attached to the garage representing dirt on the driveway. You can fix the screwy texture by altering this line in industNE.ide to:

528, toplandit, italymisc, 1, 150, 4

 

wnuczek's currently handling the final tweaking of the map files so it'll be no problem for him to remove those boxes before the next update. smile.gif

Actually GTA3 didn't have a chopper path.

Flight1.dat Airtrain Model Paths (Converted by Kipo/Killer.IP/Myself)

Flight2.dat Chopper Model Paths (Cleared by Karneil)

Flight3.dat Dodo Model (Has yet to be converted)

 

Forgive me if I am wrong, I may have switched flight2.dat and flight3.dat as this is from memory.

@madguy: the shadow problem will be addressed soon (alternatively you could modify .IDE yourself using values from killer.ip's post above)

 

@Damerest: indeed those boxes aren't in GTA3. neither they are in the latest mapfix v3. i triplechecked the files. those boxes are included in WO release.

 

maybe that's their way of fixing problems blink.giflol.gif

There's nothing to "convert" for Flight3. The one from GTA3 works perfectly fine.

You are right it must have not been included in GTA:WO 's release as the dodo flies through buildings. I fogot all it is just co-ords so I'll just c&p the file.

However we need to take off the banner and possible convert the gta dodo if it is any different (dead dodo). Anywhose this topic is now off topic so all further discussion should be in the paths thread.

@ Demarest here is my skimmer/dodo. I am still working on it. I still have to tweak the handling a little, move the ped dummie to the other side, and make movable flaps etc etc.

@demarest: from my pt of view it wud b gr8 to have skimmr & dodo, but if thats not possible, then i suggest only dodo. only problem with that is that ppl will complain that its too hard and skimmer shud b pur in. anyways thats my point of view

I have a working dodo that replaces the rcbaron and it will spawn at it usual place it is unfinnished but here is the Link anyway

Use Nomad included in the zip or Demarests latest

 

Things that are not accurate:

Propellar does not move

TailRutter does not move

Can not Left or Right View Ie No Flybys/Drivbys

Can Fly It easier than GTA3's (handling) Best I can do as I do not know what is what.

 

Dodo Model isn't finished wheels need to be placed (killer.ip sent me one but it is not in this zip) nor reflections added.

Talidan : I have not included an scm with the mod Im sorry about that, so far, you can still take off water, but you can land on the ground,take off the ground, and it handles good.

I don't understand the question. The Skimmer is a watercraft, so of course it's in the water.

 

Just wanted to add that the most recent Nomad has Dodo support built in so any finished Dodo could be plug n play as it were.

Before a week ago I never would have cared if someone made a comment like that, but I just had an experience that has taught me that there is nothing wronge with gta3.net; on the contrary, it's people who get their mods "stolen" who are to blame. Here's what happened to me. A guy named Exitus used my stadium col file (a Liberty City mod BTW) with a stadium texture mod that he created called "onkelzstadion". He got rid of my readme and didn't credit me for the col in anyway. I could have gotten pissed at gta3.net and bad mouthed them here like the car modders do, but I decided to behave and give them the benifit... so I emailed them and what do you know, they have smart and attentive english speaking people on staff there. The lady I talked to was so attentive she actually wanted to give me full credit for "onkelzstadion." Furthermore, between the two of us, we ended up repackaging the mod for him and in the process we emailed each other multiple times to make sure and get it right. She never ditched me and we gave each other nothing but respect. And I couldn't be happier with the result: (first mod in the gta3 mods section)

...it's people who get their mods "stolen" who are to blame.

Just to get you up to speed jcab42, the person who is stealing our work is not just rebadging it with his name, he's actually attempting to undermine the effort we've put in last over the last three months... all due to the fact that he's been at the losing end of two major wars that could have been prevented had he acted differently.

 

It's one thing taking anothers work, putting your name to it and posting on a site that's sympathetic to thieves just so you can get yourself a rep, however dishonourably, and another thing entirely when your agenda is to use the PM system to not only make yourself seem a big man... but to also hurt this project. At least GTA3.net does business out in the open, by the secretive way this 'PM me if you want to be in the club' routine is being carried out you could almost class this as warez.

 

Bottom line's like I said, I've no problem with unofficial installers, but when sometime starts hurting our team purely for selfish reasons as is the case here, forgive me for being a little pissed off. sarcasm.gif

You kinda took my words out of context wink.gif I was talking specifically about gta3.net. Mod stealers suck but I wouldn't wouldn't blame a website for hosting a stolen mod without giving them a chance to make things right, and I like I said, gta3.net did right by me so I can only assume that that is their policy. If you know evidence to the contrary, I'm all ears.

 

I understand how frustrating it is when people do this kinda stuff after you worked so hard to support the community, but I don't understand why you are singling out gta3.net and implying that they are sypathetic towards mod stealers. Did they do something specific? Did you you give them a chance to correct the issue by politely informing them of what happened?

Hehe, no worries, I was just using GTA3.net's reputation with which to paint a picture during that post... let's face it, their name's become synonymous with mod stealing.

 

Even though that activity may well be in the past, that name/rep combination's entrenched itself within the collective conscious of the community, and I fear it may be difficult if not impossible for that to be shaken off... especially when I've gone and reasserted that image in peoples minds.

 

Lets hope they don't regress back to their old ways. wink.gif

gta3.net was probably singled out because there is a pinned thread against them and only them. I too have seen them make ammends for accidentally hosting "stolen" works as jcab said.

 

Any chance of letting this thread get back to helping those who our having issues with OUR mod? rolleyes.gif

Well spotted on that bottom pic, those holes should be simple to fix. I'm not sure what you're pointing out in the pic of the Bistro though, things seem okay over here:

Killer.ip take a second look at both your screenshot and his:

Behind the glass of his there is a visable interior. Yours blanks out the interior. (I think GTAIII is like yours)

 

This thread has been really helpful for us both.

 

GTAIII had interiors be it only 1 but it did so it really isn't a new feature of vice city.

 

The Bathroom in the park was an interior.
