The thread that started it all

Don't get me wrong - I can convert actor models, I just can't import pedestrians properly.

The peds are exactly the same on the XBOX version except all their joints are vertex welded together.

After completing which mission does the Head Radio Chopper start spawning

on the roof of the Head Radio building?

I would assume 'A Drop in the Ocean'. That's when i remember it appearing.

Correct, the helicopters on the first two islands appear once the third island is unlocked. Just like in VC/SA.

A minor update to share. The FBI car is now the same color from the M_CRANE as it is when the FBI chase you at 5 stars.

http://lc.gtasnp.com/fbicar.png

Why? In GTA 3, the FBI car can be resprayed to that gray color and the ones that block the road are gray two. The only black ones are the ones that chase you.

Thanks for the Head Radio Chopper tip.

"...the helicopters on the first two islands appear once the third island is

unlocked. Just like in VC/SA." (That's similar to the appearance of the four VC

Checkpoint Chopper Sparrows--the first three appear after "All Hands on Deck" and

the fourth after "G-Spotlight.")

I guess that applies to the Sea Sparrow on the roof of Kenji's casino and the

Police Maverick on the roof of the Staunton police station, too.

Yup. But the choppers in SSV spawn right away, so if you can find your way to that island early you can fly around.

Hey guy glad to hear you are getting on well with the project biggrin.gif i just wondered *stupid question* when you said gta:lc is it liberty city stories and vice city stories or just liberty city stories? sorry if this confuses you like i have just done to myself xD

Neither. It's GTAIII on the Vice City engine. That's what GTA:LC is. smile.gif

Hello! I'm 19 and understand many things and I am willing to help in the project of GTA LC IN VC

There's very little to do and the easy stuff was done over a half a decade ago. The two things I'd like to have done in the near future is to convert the character models from the XBOX version and get the cutscene heads working again.

It would be nice if add the club malibu in gta lc

For the game would be more fun to take advantage of some buildings gta vc to gta lc

The game becomes boring at times because there's no way to enter the buildings

And add club malibu the game would be more fun because it would have a building that could enter

what do you think of adding the malibu club in gta lc?

For it would be cool if GTA: LC had more new things

Have you heard about the missions excluded from gta 3?

That mission was given by Darkel. This mission required that you took a Dodo, and if he played in Love Media, killing Donald Love. The mission was withdrawn because it had references to September 11.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecFHmdidW0w

It would be nice if any of you build the missions of Darkel again

I'm willing to help

I am not opposed to including more interiors, provided they can be created in a quality that is consistent with Rockstar's work.

Regarding the Darkel stuff, unless we knew exactly what was cut, there's no way we could try to recreate it. From the source code of GTA3, the only clue they gave was there was originally one more mission after S.A.M. but before The Exchange. What that mission was and how it would have been played out is a pure mystery. Anyone who claims they know what it was is only guessing. The only thing ever officially confirmed by Rockstar was them saying they removed one mission "that referenced terrorists." Again, any other specific details are purely speculation.

Here is the link to the interview I mentioned.

Oh, and we need more than just willingness to help. You actually have to be able to do the work required. You said that you figured out how to animate the mouths in the cutscenes. Please share your findings if you have. If you haven't are you're just going to talk about how you can help but not actually contribute anything, then please don't waste our time.

Got a dff and txd file of a character in gta vc

Example merc.dff and merc.txd

merc.dff and merc.txd is Mercedes of the gta vc

How do I know the character of GTA VC has mouth movements

created skins of the characters from GTA 3 run in the archives of the characters in GTA VC

example: Mercedes GTA VC

I did skin to transform into Misty GTA 3

Then the Mercedes was equal with Misty GTA3 and with the mouth movements due

I did this with multiple characters

8Balls of GTA 3 I used the body of Lance Vance of GTA VC

and they stayed with the mouth movements

I used the same pattern of gta vc to make the characters had to movements in the mouth, because the way the gta vc works is different from gta 3

I have no idea since when this is available, but apparently the latest version of maxorator's Vehicle Loader DOES work on GTA: LC... It might (or might not) interfere with the ASI plugins, but here's the proof!

I only tested it for couple of minutes, and it seems to be working just great! I even made a MVL vehicle pack, featuring all the stock VC cars long time ago, but I'll have to update all the cars with latest XML data files, due to a lot of changes in the loader itself. Maybe you guys can put them to a good use?

EDIT

Still testing.... colgate.gif

If anyone needs and/or wants these, I made a double MVL pack featuring both VC and III cars. Credits from VC pack goes to Rockstar, as all the files are completely original & not modified in any way, while III (LC) pack is taken from GTA: Liberty City, with the permission of course. smile.gif

GTA III

GTA VC

I realize III vehicles won't be much useful for GTA: LC, but IDK... Perhaps someone who replaced all the original cars with modded ones would like to have the original models back in the game? (Because I would... At least my favorite sedan, Kuruma) smile.gif

I also included "Cougar" in the VC package, it's a subversion of Virgo (beta or special version)

Thanks to Craig for letting me use LC files & have fun!

EDIT

For all of you (if any), using my stock Vice City vehicles, please apply this WHEEL FIX

Otherwise, loading any cars using the missing VC wheels (see below) will result in crashing your game.

237, wheel_rim, generic, 2, 20, 70, 0238, wheel_offroad, generic, 2, 20, 70, 0239, wheel_truck, generic, 2, 20, 70, 0

What is the difference in the lighting in the LC mod compared to VC? I make

the colors for a '57 Chevy car mod look good for me in VC then don't like how

they look in the LC mod. Is one brighter, have different tints for the sunlight

colors, or ?

I think it's the timecyc, makes Vice City take on the grit of LC more clearly.

I color the body of Klarnetist's '57 cab (he gave me permission to mod and

distribute his '57 Chevy mods) with a body2.bmp file of the .txd file. Comparing

a sunny mid-afternoon shot of the same mod in VC and the LC mod, the

timcyc.dat of the LC mod gave it one point redder hue, about 30 points grayer

saturation, and a couple points more luminescent, so I compensated.
