Boat paths? I guess I'll have to pop GTAIII and and see as I don't remember GTAIII's waters being very active in terms of pedestrian traffic. I'll give these paths a try. The one thing I am hoping for is more density in the traffic. In which you say may improve by adding between the nodes. I'll test these out after my midterms tommorrow.

Which is Mark's point. We're shooting for GTA3 authenticity here. Consider no boat paths a perk.

I'm not sure how much the script is needed for just moving it considering the Polmav moves along it in 2 places as it is. However, if the code is going to allow a person to (de)board, then yes, the code would probably have to control most of it which could quickly make it much larger than we're capable of supporting.

but if you dont add boat paths, there won't be any police boats after u when you have 1+ stars.... we should modify the default.ide to make no boats to appear on paths (as traffic) but to let them only for police.

 

EDIT: an important note on paths:

 

you ABSOLUTLY need to set the road blocks locations on the nodes to make them appear, you can see that right now, only road blocks appear in Portlant (part I did). For that, in the editor, go on a node where you want a road block, and put "1" in the 5th flag(from the left). Do that for all stategic points in the city for them.

i found an old LOD problem that was omitted in map fix V3. i included pics in my earlier post here

Well I know that some of these have probably been said before if not all, but I will still put them just in case. So here they are:

1. I have the weather mod that makes it like the GTA3 weather, but in the distance the gloom turns into a light blue colour and imo it does'nt look very good, or is it supposed to be like this.

2. When its gets late my game just seems to randomly crash.

3. There are still a few dark patches, and there is still a patch of road near the SSV hideout that is still grey.

4. Also the water behind the small scrap yard on the first Island is black and you fall onto it and you roll then start to drown, it is quite a large area too.

 

If these have been corrected can someone post the correct link to where I can update. colgate.gif

It's actually better for you. It means I'm mindlessly compelled to do my "work" instead of wasting my time on pointless emotions. Makes me inhuman, but it makes me work again.

The spacing between the nodes does nothing to change the density. Vice simply draws ~15 peds on the screen and ~5 cars at any time. Citizens are NOT just created on the node points, they are created on the striaght lines between them too. Thus increasing the node density just makes curved paths smoother. smile.gif

 

I won't be working on the paths as they cannot be converted.

I have still done absolutely nothing on this or any other handling projects, I havn't even installed GTA:LC yet due to the limited time and having so many other commitments ongoing. I think it may have been a mistake to offer myself to this mod. dontgetit.gif

yeah, that´s right. A member from our forum made this mod.

the idea was taken from the tank mod for normal vc.

anyway, gta-action is still offline... confused.gif
