Not sure exactly what you're asking. If you're worried that you've messed something up, simply remove the LC folder you've created, copy your VC folder and start again.

 

If you mean that you installed straight over your VC folder, then you're just going to have to reinstall VC before you can begin reinstalling LC. If you've lost the LC "installer" package, you'll have to re-download it.

Thanks! I got it, the GTA "III" sounds are there around Misty's apartment biuilding, etc., and the 'cycles are looking real good, too.

That's exactly what I needed, thanks a lot. I got it fixed now, check Mission Coding.

 

Another thing: checklist issue 3-3b (EV crane crash) is ticked off as fixed, but it's not. It still happens randomly, regardless of which vehicle you deliver as the last one.

The admins seem to be busy enough as is without us bothering them over something as trivial as the forum banner. Besides, the topics are pinned, so people are going to notice them anyhow wink.gif.

 

As for the team list - yeah, that's my bad. I'll update it to include testing and model fixes. If there's something else I've missed, let me know smile.gif.

i meant the code for coaches which coaches run on in gta VC you know every now and the you'll find a coach stopped beside a bus stop sign.

well im looking for the code or file that deals with that

 

also is there a goodish reason why i can't use the vclimitajuster on LC it is VCs engine after all so i want to have so many cars you cant move

I believe it's hardcoded in the EXE (probably similar to the traffic light function which makes cars stop at traffic lights). Unless you know how to mem hack, I doubt you'll be able to do anything much with it. And obviously the coach route is mapped out in one of the path files.

 

This sounds more like a general VC modding question as opposed to an LC-specific question anyway, so you'd be best off asking in, say, the Misc. forum methinks.

Hello guys.I have a problem.I've just instaled LC.It works fine but I don't have any missions.So i've downloaded main.scm from this forum but my game crashes when I start a new game.I've also downloaded LC beta 2.6(or something like that) but it has the same problem.Can somebody help me.

Did you try ANYTHING I mentioned in either of the two PM's I sent you? They came complete with links, so you didn't have to go searching for anything.

 

Also, some more information (and specific information at that) would be really handy. I've already directed you to the readme included with the 2.7test download (which I linked you to) - did you try any of the solutions mentioned in it? Did you install LC properly? etc.

 

The more you help us, the more we can help you wink.gif.

 

EDIT - Actually, if you continue to try and post new topics, I'll make a point of not helping you. Especially when I've already told you where to post questions. How bout you go back and re-read the first PM I sent you, and then read the rules/directory topic before posting again?

 

But, so that you don't ask here - if you want information on Ghost-town (or any other gameplay aspects), the GTA3 area is the place to go.

Ok, been messing around with 3DS for a bit, and here's what I came up with:

 

Maria In Game Model Fixed (txd not included - no changes made to the texture)

 

The model was re-aligned and adjusted to fit a female ped (HFYRI in fact), but still loads onto the player as a skin just fine. Initial rigging was done via illspirits' tip, found here. I did a LOT of adjusting after, but this method let me see how a model should be painted, of which there aren't too many visual guides.

 

Before anyone whines about the suckage, I've included my 3DS Max file in the archive. Have fun, and make it better. wink.gif

 

Hope fully this one wasn't re-done already and the list was forgotten...

 

Anyway, just a little something for the mod, since I use it all the time. Make it official, unofficial, whatever. I just wanted the experience for bringing my actors to SA. cool.gif

 

NOTE: This looks better with the original Vice peds.ifp file. I MAY re-adjust the model a bit at some point to compensate.

I think the list here is a bit out of date - AK-73 was going to take a look at some more PED stuff when he gets some time, so he might come up with a more up-to-date list. I know his plate's pretty full at the moment though, so I don't know when he'll get around to it.

 

Even if we don't end up using it, it's still good because it's a learning experience for you anyways. And the thought of giving something back is appreciated too smile.gif.

 

I've still got a PED conversion guide AK-73 wrote for me on my PC (it's linked in the post above yours, although the link is now dead). I'll see about getting it re-uploaded over the next few days - you might find it useful as well wink.gif.

I've downloaded LC v2.7.I've installed it.I enter inthe game.I click ,,Start New Game,,.After that I click on ,,New Game,,.For a second a blue loading line appears, but after that the game closes.Are this informations enough??

To extend the scope of the missing ZONES bug (listed as 2-25):

 

3 areas at the east side of Staunton are not displayed (i.e. displayed as 'Staunton island'):

Rockford, Fort Staunton and Newport.

 

It has nothing to do with gxt entries (they are all correct and show up if you swap around the respective identifiers in navig.zon)

And, strangely enough, I couldn't find an error in the ZON files which would cause such behaviour(Zone cubes are OK). So I really have no idea why it won't work. sad.gif

Vice City aren't meant to have that much zones. That's probably the reason.

 

3-32 is not a glitch. It's like that in GTA3. They told you to use the bat only.

3-36 is not a reproducable error.

Here's a fixed Luigi - JUST THE LEG ISSUE THOUGH. It still needs to be rigged "properly" (the arms hang a bit low, neck, etc). I just want to get some of the bigger issues out of the way before mucking with the details on them.

Included 3DS Max file if anyone wants to help. I'm only doing this when I get a bit of downtime from the show, but I think they'll get better as I keep working with them.

 

It would be REALLY handy if someone could tell me a way (if it exists) to get the texture on the model in Max; this would save a ton of time working on tearing issues and such. And does anyone know of a reason NOT to adjust weights while the model is in an animation pose? I haven't encountered any issues yet (I always return the model to it's default pose before exporting), but I'm wondering if there's an issue that might crop up.

 

Anyway, yah, I'll keep tweaking these as I get time. smile.gif

SCM update

It fixes 3-4 (Misty walking the wrong way in "Luigi's girls") by adding one line:

The opcode description in the database seems to be accurate, but it doesn't seem to be applicable to the player*

If it does work however (in the intended way), this would also fix the 'Chaperone' cutscene skipping bug 3-29 ; the opcode would have to be placed around the 'mission passed' segment LabelLC04C84B

 

 

 

*my testing session today was the first time I really tried to understand GTA mission code. So I spend much time with planning how to isolate the problem. I succeeded with extending the cutscene playing time to 25 seconds, so that I could see where Misty wanted to go to when she went in the wrong direction, and it became clear that she wanted to end the first 'walk' command before she would turn around to go to her final destination. So I searched the opcode database for 'stop actor animation' and the likes, and was somewhat disappointed that I could only find an untested unknown opcode 0579. I threw it in, and it worked! So (with Chaperone in mind) I tried to solve the Chaperone bug the same way, but it always crashed on me, so I stopped working on it for now.

011C: clear_actor_objective will clear almost any state for the player OR an actor. It DOES NOT clear the "riot" animation or the "dance" animation.

 

I'll have to mess with 0579 though. Never knew about that one. smile.gif

Minor LC Update

Streetlights placement error in the Callahan Bridge and the carpark near Donald Love is fixed.

A problem with a building's collision is fixed.

The texture problem in the lanterns in Chnatown is fixed using GTA3's model.

The model problem for Greasy Joe's sign in LOD is fixed using GTA3's model.

In "Chaperone", the GTA3 Guy walking uncontrollably when skipping the cutscene was in GTA3. Fixed it. (3-29)

The car crusher works more efficiently when receiving cars.

Pay n Spray marker problem in "Salvatore Called a Meeting" fixed.

Toni's duplicate missions error in debug mode fixed.

im sure the train wouldn't cjange at all if you rammed/shot/blow up it just carried on unscathed and can th light in the l-train be changed to light up at night you could have the same effects as a tank?

btw: 3-6 didn't occur to me at all when I tested my solution. Should be marked as fixed if no one else did notice it anymore.

All I suggested was to read the readme (especially the bit marked IMPORTANT, directly above the common problems table). So if you've tried deleting vc_weather.asi and vc_weather.cfg, then I don't have any idea what your problem is. Sorry.

I haven't had much to do with the train in either LC or GTA3 for a long time, so I'm not really up to speed on all the differences. But as we're going for authenticity (for the most part), the light would only be changed if it didn't already match GTA3.

@space - uh, if you tell me what to change, I should be able to fix the first post up for you. Alternatively, if you want to handle all the SCM stuff from now on, feel free to post a new topic (copy all the stuff from the first post over - just quote it to get the BB-code) and I'll approve it for you. That way you can update it whenever you want, and Craig can as well with his ledby powers (if he decides to get involved again). Then I can just lock this one up.

 

Nice work on the updates too - I'll cross those off the checklist for you icon14.gif.

 

@SteaVor - Nice work on your update too icon14.gif. That was such a silly glitch. There's a few other vaguely similar bugs in the checklist I think - by that, I mean path-related tounge.gif - maybe that find might help in fixing those (I'm thinking about the ones where Claude pauses, or where actors "get confused" when going around an object, or, perhaps Sayonara Salvatore ph34r.gif).

 

I'll cross those two off the checklist for you too smile.gif.

 

EDIT - The Claude pausing bug (3-6) is dependant on how your park the Kuruma IIRC. If you park it with the driver's door facing the street, with the tail of the car sticking out towards the road (so, the car is on a slight angle), I think it usually happens then. I reported that bug AGES ago though, so there's a possibility it's been fixed. I've made a note in the checklist though wink.gif.
