Predicting a release date is very difficult to do. Hopefully it won't be too much longer though.

 

@MoeRonimoe: I can wait until you're finished with the gxt before you send it to me. A partial version doesn't really do me any good.

No it's not just you. I extracted the a3_ss audio from the PS2 version of the game. Rockstar changed the audio in the game to something different (but they didn't change the mission any other way). So I decided to include the old audio file instead. That file is included in the beta 2 test release (and it will be in the final beta 2 download as well.

Wow, this will be suprising. Will Beta 2 have a few of the GTA3 Missions? Like Ray's missions and asuka's and donald's and all that stuff?

From an earlier post I made:

 

The beta 2 release will have these missions: All of the non-story line missions, all of the Luigi missions, Salvatore's 'Last Requests,' Asuka's first two missions, and all of the Kenji and Donald Love missions.

Yeah but wont they sue you guys if you give away gta3 on the internet. dozingoff.gif

You'd still need GTA3 as a source for 9 out of 10 audio files needed for GTALC to work.

Actually, it will be possible to play GTA:LC without any of the GTA3 audio files. It won't be as enjoyable, but I think it will work. There's only 2½ MB of audio files that are really required.

Well considering you need Vice City another Rockstar Game to make use of this mod, I don't think Rockstar would be too bothered. Maybe if this project was to port GTA3 into another game engine ie. Mafia's then it would be another story.

If you want to use the file from the GTA3 CD, you can modify your gta-lc.ini file so it points to the orginal file. Simply open up the gta-lc.ini file with notepad. Find this line:

71=AUDIOLC\A3_SS.mp3

 

And change it to

71=AUDIOLC\A3_SS.wav

 

 

I don't have the mp3 file uploaded at the moment. But this will fix your problem.

Its been quite a while since I looked at the code in Delphi but through the .ini can you edit sreaming memory or is it just buildings and dummys? Cant quite remember...

ok so im double posting, but noone is posting here in this topic, ive been waiting 2 days for someone to post anything so i dont double post, but im tired of waiting

 

so finally.......

 

after fooling around in Col-IO, and Steve M's Col Editor, i was finaly able to finish the col file, so its done, heres some screenshots

Hey All remember my Post a few pages back? (i quoted it)

 

well ive decided to update it, with my new knowledge of .X files to make COL files, ive made up a new COL file for the Interior of Marco Bistros, which makes everything inside it solid

 

however.... i dont have LC installed, i have no space on my PC to install it,

 

so i need someone to test it for me, if anyone can, please let me know

 

also, when San An comes to the PC, i plan to convert the SA huge Interior and the Snowy outside of Marco Bistros into LC,

perhaps if theres Room, ill put both the VC and SA interior into Marco Bistos' with the Snowy outside biggrin.gif

I just finished converting the 'Kanbu Bust Out' mission. I haven't run into any bugs with it yet, but that doesn't mean it's bug free. If you have the beta2 test files, you can download this file to test the new mission. This means the only thing we have left with the Kenji missions for this mod is to convert the Kenji model and figure out the glitch with the garage door in 'Grand Theft Auto.'

EDIT: I think I got the garage door fixed in the GTA mission. The coords were messed up. I tested it once and the door closed for me properly every time. I reuploaded the scm in the package I linked earlier (kanbu.rar).

On the note of converting: Asuka, Donald Love, and Kenji will need to be our next goal to convert, because they will be in Beta2, if I can remember.

 

Does "Waka-Gashira Wipeout!" still cause crashes? Because if it does, we need to fix that before Beta 2. Good luck, and I'll test as soon as possible.
