Well you are new here so I can tell you don't have a clue. This sub-forum is for a mod called GTA: Liberty City, it's a total conversion mod of GTA3 into Vice City, so yeah we are able to use VC heli's, bikes, etc.

Thanks Mark. I've got it converted now. Maybe I can even get the first two Asuka missions converted before the release.

 

And I'll try to get that custom code for you too (for ped testing) but no guarantees. I'm not that great of a scratch coder. I am going to give it a shot though.

It was 7. But after converting to mp3 (128 kb/s) it was about 600k. The original PC wav was 1.7 MB.

This is a weird glitch I have tried installing the train over but the col is no longer recognized. This happened before and I was able to fix by changing the draw distance value in the generic.ide I've tried working backwards and trying PatrickW's scm but with the new launcher and debugger the code pulls up many erros before I can get to a train and vice calls an unhandeled exception. Myonly thought now is the launcher has modified a value that effects col files or something.

I don't know if this is an issue or not, but the generic.ide was changed since you last updated it. It's possible your changes were undone.

Nope not the issue as I said I installed the my train files over so my generic.ide is being used. There shouldn't be any reason for it not to work with the old scm. Thats the tricky part. The trains col is not physically there ingame but is in data. I checked the col files and they seem fine. Something is up and I unfortunately can't figure it out. The only thing I can think of is maybe change values in the launcher such as helicopter height etc also effected draw distance col. (It used to be over 300 col would not be there) now maybe its over 200 or so.

Have you tried small drawing distance values ingame ( say 100 ), and does it fix the problem?

If so we could as a temporary fix lower the value for beta2, until we figure why it happens and find a more generic solution.

I'm extremely pleased to see that the new beta is going well. You guys have created a superb mod that has given me hours of enjoyment. I'm awaiting the new release with baited breath (I eat a lot of prawns, you see).

I'm seeing all those screenshots from GTA using LC and the speedometer / hud.

Whatever I tried, I can't get it working. With the first version of LC the launcher doesn't even recognized the dll, when using the official update LC crashes even without the dll.

Please help, I'm getting crazy.

Just came back from trying with a lower value (55) and it still is not recognizing the col. Not sure why not. Could someone try putting back the waterjumps and see if there cols are recogninzed?

 

If they are not we will have a problem.

 

I have a feeling the whole train may have to be recoded possibly even the models redone.

Try running gta-lc.exe in compatibility mode.

 

The only problem with the speedometer I had is it switches the weather to rainy when doing unique jump.

I replace TRAIN with WATERJUMPX2, and that col is recognized.

I was able to "surf" the rail on the waterjump.

Thats good news for you but I guess that means I have to take a good like at the models.

 

It seems to me the game is being told to read the proper files but the train cols never load up. I'll have to dig deeper into this when I get the chance.

The police heli is f*cked, if you can't see the rocket.

Another "Feature" of beta 2 is our missing army glitch. Craig said earlier that the TXD was corrupt.

I havnt read all the posts so i dont know if this is any use but i have been through the img and compressed all the txds that were not compressed

since doing this the game runs heaps smoother if u want want these files

I'm lazy in doing the compressing now. Any files that TXD Workshop touches loses textures for some reason. So I use some extra steps.
