Yea, hack into the MTA program. But the MTA team wouldn't like that. Wait for MTA: Blue.

wow, long time since an update, I'm still working on it, however progressing slowly. There're still some glitches i can't seem to get out.

There'll be a draft version soon.... ( hopefullly )

LCPeds V2 should be ready for tomorrow, with the Female Tramp now has Gun Panic, and some other ped changes. This should be the final release of LCPeds before I start learning modifying Bone Mass on peds. I should make a backup of GTA3.dir and GTA3.img before I work on LCPeds V3, because this may take alot of time for doing this.

hey

 

i've got a verry wierd problem

 

i can instal the mod but when i start the launcher i get an error where i can chose to send a bug report to windows

 

im using vice city 1.0

a no-cd patch cause my cd is f*cked up ( i can instal but i cant play go figure)

 

i tried everything a fresh instal (5 times) diffrent mod links

but i stil get the same error

if i start via start -> programs -> rockstar -> vice city (without the launcher) my vc freezes at 3/4 of the loading screen with a wierd error

 

 

PLEASE HELP ME !!

 

edit i have no other mods

Keep clicking it until it works. Sometimes you need to click it 10 times (not in a row) until it works.

Just to let you all know I'm gonna start rigging peds again, LC isn't LC without all the peds.

 

If anyone would like to help but doesn't know how to rig peds you should check out my tutorial here. The list of peds completed are on the first post of this topic.

Alright ModelingMan! It's nice to the rigging process continue.

 

I also want to thank Kingpin of LSPD for his contributions. He's a perfect example of how to get involved in this project. Find something that can be improved and do it. Your files will defintely be used in the official release.

 

There is one more thing that probably should be done before the gamma release. We will eventually need to convert the default.ide to use the GTA3 ped names. The files in the image will have to be renamed accordingly as well. But it's difficult to add actors to the code without them being defined in the default file. If this could be done in the near future, it will be incorporated into the release.

 

There's only a few things that need to be done before I release the files. First I would like to get a final (or close to it) train code which includes the subway. Secondly, I need to find and fix the bug with the SSV IE garage. And finally, I'd like to get the default converted and maybe add a few more GTA3 peds to the game. Other than those issues, there's not much else to be done before we're ready for a public release.

ViceScarface: Reinstall Vice City Then Reinstall LC.

 

You Can Download all files at my 1st website not the 2nd

 

When you install the upgrade to main.scm don't forget to download the audio and place LC Audio the GTA VC Folder (In the VC folder there should be Audio, LC Audio, anim, data, gfx, Icons, models, movies, mp3, mss, ReadMe, skins, TEXT and txd Folders and then there should be gta-lc.exe, gta-lc.ini, gta-lc.asi, gta-vc.exe, launcher.txt, Mss32.dll, readme.html, readMe.txt and scm_vice.ini) Now LC should work with the sound.

Sorry for the double post:

 

Here's a draft version of the main.scm with the player fixed in the train during the ride. You should be able to enter the train by just walking in, instead you'll have to press the "enter vehicle" button when you're near one of the doors. Fido will than walk into the train. Inside the train, you can't move, but you can turn around in 1st person view.

To leave the train at a station, press "enter vehicle" again when the doors are open.

 

I've also inserted a collision check, so that Fido dies when he walks on the track and gets hit by the train.

 

No sources at this moment, as they're currently not in a presentable state sarcasm.gif

This main.scm file replaces the one in mark package ( which is required to run this )

 

I assume that everyone is very busy testing, and that has much more priority, but if anyone comes around to testing this, i'll be glad to hear any comments/glitches.

PatrickW i have found a bug after only 2mins of gameplay the player will only get in the train at the Hepburn Heights stop the other two stop the player falls down the gap between the train Look.

Yeah, KoLSPD2, great job! I sort of started ok I guess trying to match the peds somehow but near the end I just plugged whatever peds were left so thanks for finishing and polishing it all.

Just out of curiosity, has the exit screen been updated? It has the TCB avatar above my name and I have not been in that gang for a long while now.

 

Also Hammer, have you found a way to change the HUD colours wihtout having to hex edit the EXE?

You're right, forgot to mention it. But that is something that has to be fixed by the model. I've been testing this with an older version of the model file, that didn't have this problem ( but a lot of other problems, which were fortunely not important for testing)

I used artmoney to change hud colors. So it's definitely something that can be integrated into the launcher. No time now unfortunately to update all this. I'm way over my head with studies.

Nothing has been updated as far as a credits screen. I'm not sure what to do with that yet either. Anybody want to make a gamma credits screen?

 

Also, I'm wondering what we should call the next release officially. The two options I've been using are beta 2 or gamma. I'm leaning towards gamma right now, but I'm open to suggestions.

realy cause that launcher isnt working u know i always get a bug report message that i can send to microsoft but i will try the launcher a few times thanx for ur help

LINKAGE: Common Dialog 32 Control in the Visual Basic 6 Runtimes

 

It should install that file for you.

 

And for anyone whos interested:

Its needed for the Open Dialog at the beginning to locate the install you wish to replace.

nope, still have the same message after installing that, i reinstalled that even though i already had it installed cos the message on the better release topic says that it requires it.

 

any other ideas ?

restart your computer as it is a system wide update...

i read b4 that the missions where yet added to GTA:LC but i noticed in the screens that it looks like some ppl were on missions... Were the missions added? Im still gonna d/l it... but i wanted to know so i can decide if i wanna copy my vc folder somewhere else so i can still do missions and stuff.

 

oh... and i can still mod GTA:LC just like vc? custom cars and stuff? i know its gta3 on the vc engine but i just wanna make sure.

search back in this topic, I'm too busy at the moment to put together a package with old files that have known issues. We'll just have to wait until mark finds time to work on the train-models again. At the moment he's probabbly very busy with other important LC tasks smile.gif

I wish people would read the names of a topic. And I wish people should have realized that this is a Vice City total conversion map mod. It is not GTA3.
