Here is the same file as the first package as a zip file

 

And for craig I am not sure why the files are not working for you as they seem to work for myself and patrick although he stated he didn't use all the files. We would need to trace everything installed since gamma but I believe you tried it on gamma aswell.

since installing the train package which didnt work with object data changed the game starts up ok but freezes after game save i also have flashing textures, i have also yet to see a train on either track, when i replace the original files back all these problems cease. Any suggestions?

I just spawn a heli can fly to the St. Marks Station and in a matter of a few minutes the train should appear.

 

So far I have the following reports:

Craig Kostelecky: Freezes on load up.

PatrickW: Doors do not appear.

brendan62: flashy textures yet to see train.

 

AdTec_224 and I are the only people so far that have the train working.

Mark both the files and the Link work perfectly. the train appears ,the doors on the train appear, does not freeze up when loading even with a saved game and there are NO flashy textures.

@ AdTec_224, you should put the image actually in your site by going to my controls and actually putting the image in your sig instead of putting it at the bottom of every post. Just goto my controls and then edit signature and put the link in there instead. Because atm its not actually in your sig its just a image at the bottom of your post.

If not that is extremly awkward.

Offcourse, although only after I started working on the first draft of the train-code, when I was looking for a train-model. I saw that you mentioned spath.dat files already back there, but at that time I guess nobody knew how to activate them.

 

I'm hoping we will still be able to support the train in the SCM when all the missions are in. If not, we'll have to do a cut-down version, and create the fully functional version as an unofficial mod ( possible leaving out some other SCM stuff )

 

But that is a problem for the future.

Lack of process?

I doubt that you the reason why the train is alive and possibly one of the reason myriad may adopt one. Also it gives me time to fiddle around with the models.

Isolating one person's problem is very difficult right now are there are many possible configurations of files that each person may have. I'm having a hard time fixing all of the bugs in the official version right now. Hopefully, once the train is more finalized, I can get a main.scm update released that might fix some problems.

 

I'm trying as hard as I can right now (without losing my Real Life job, that is)

I started a new game and then saved it then the the next time it froze

Installed all correctly

I have now removed all related train files after another try (spend 10 mins driving on track waiting for a train to come along but it never did just like real public transport) the game runs fine with latest code update etc once all train related files are removed .

This may not make any difference but i have hwy and stunt park installed plus my island installed also all changed cars not the cars released with LC

Maybe its two much for the vc engine but with your latest train release and the previous one i had the same problem

i guess ill just try again if you release another one which is bummer as to have the train running would have been great

I'm still getting a crash from what I mentioned earlier. It still occurs, and I don't know what to do. I have the up-to-date weapons.dat, pedgrp.dat, and other up-to-date requirements. WTF's going on with this, and could somebody please help me? I get a picture of Fido, the Kuruma, and on the Callahan Bridge, money at $4,936, and this:

If you try jacking the Hoods, and they shoot you, then you get out, and decide to let them shoot you on foot, no damage is taken from them. It's ironic the Hoods replace the Vercetti Gang, and if you shoot at them (Hoods), hit them, etc. they don't react like the other gangs. I know this was in VC, but it's not necessary in LC now.

Can i make a suggestion?

 

Don't copy the missions of GTAIII , just use a character like 8-Ball, and create missions for him, Simple.

 

Ah and another suggestion: use one of your voices and make the Main character talk and have a name (create one).

What opcode causes one of the gangs to hate you, after passing a specific mission, and get upgrades to their guns? blink.gif (i.e. the Mafia having shotguns in addition with the Colt45 after you kill Salvatore) I am posting it in here because it has to do with GTA:LC, and another question:

 

Should the army have M16's and not AK47's? That is in GTAIII, but how is it possible to do that? Thanks for any answers.

To make a gang hate you, use this:

 

03F1: pedtype  7? add_threat  1?

 

For weapons, here is the initial Mafia setting:

 

0237: set_gang  0? primary_weapon_to  17? secondary_weapon_to  17?

 

After completing Last Requests, it changes to this:

 

0237: set_gang  0? primary_weapon_to  17? secondary_weapon_to  19?

 

And here are the gang type and pedtype values for each gang:

And these are the weapons:

I know the weapons the army has is hard coded. I'm not sure if we can fix it easily or not.

There's two reasons I haven't uploaded an scm in a while. First, the code depends on the train being present in your game. Secondly, the code may not be as stable as I'd like it to be.

 

But I am looking for some beta testers for the current files. I updated everything I have as of right now and uploaded it to my server. I don't want too many people downloading it as it may overload my bandwidth. So if you'd like to test the latest files, PM me and I'll give you the link. And those that are testing the "gamma" files, this update is newer and it includes the current train setup. Also included with this update is an improved asi file which has some more debugging features.

OK, some problems here.

 

I'm trying to convert some peds' stats from GTA3 to VC/LC, and I'm running into some problems: The hex code. I know some, but it's very diverse. I may not be on the LC team, but contributing here is very difficult with all the hex codes (ped's cars they drive) I don't understand.

 

For example, what is the hex code for Poor, Rich, Exec., and Worker hex code for LC?
