You may also want to try manually installing the files (instead of running the setup file included with the launcher). Directions for manual installation are found in the " Guide to Installing GTA: LC" pinned thread.

Are you sure about the FBI car having the black color bug? I've been spawning the FBI car at the beginning of my game for a while now (to test the emergency crane) and just like the Kuruma that you usually start with, this FBI car is always green. It's set that way in the code. Now as we know, the black bug will make it appear black even if the carcol has no black information in it. But the FBI car I spawn has never been black, it's always the same green color that the Kuruma is.

yes but the car is only green cause the scm told it to be green. it over rides the carcols file.

I see that to sometimes on other places but that's because sometimes the LOD disapear really late.

Try setting the streaming memory higher.

Hey guys I have just finished creating my second stunt of GTA:LC this biatch took me 2 hours! angry.gif to make it in to a .gif and not to be jumpy (much confused.gif )(for that after leaving the ramp thing it would go into slow-motion, so I had to edit/delete the frames which is a true pain in the ass!) the actual stunt its self only took me about 3 tries and I managed to pull off a 1440 spin! Anyways here it is:

Oh and sorry for the big file size, I tried making it smaller for a good hour, this was the smallest I could get it.

That lat pic is good. Not only do do you have a golf cart in Libery City with pimping rims, but you also got a shark in the picture. And since it's the picture I least expected to see, I say well done, well done indeed.

It's a Dolphin I believe.

 

And Wingman, the screenshots are nice. But I'm really not loving the saturation and they're a bit on the small side.

i just downloaded the mod for a laugh and i found that there was only one mission. Are there meant to be missions? The mission i found was a payphone outside the dog food factory

The beta had 5 missions. A few missions have been developed since then. That's why it's called beta wink.gif You get what you pay for lol.gif

Well this is kinda a guess between help topic and bugs/glitches topic. When I am around the 3rd island where all the skyscrapers are, where the hideout is with the 3 garages that only two open. That area, my game just seems to randomly crash but only around this area. I have not visited this area for a while so I dont know of any fixes or if anyone else has found this problem.

 

Re-buildings does not do the trick, and its only in this area of flat/skyscraper type buildings where the game crashes.

 

Is this a known problem, is there a fix for it?

 

Ill look into it further but a reply would be very welcome.

Well so far I haven't had any crashes whatsoever using the BETA or the BETA version with the latest updates. I'll try and test it around the area you are getting them to see if I can get this crash you speak of.

just thinkin about that water problem, if you were to take the waterfrom gta3 so it fits perfectly around the islands and put the vice city texture on it wld that help?

Ok yesteday I didn't do much with coding. Just after I posted above my g/f called and I spend the whole day with her. Didn't had much time for computer stuff if you know what I mean.

 

erm but this isn't about our privat lives.

 

The reason I post is that I found something in Demarest his code that I don't get.

You start the code with this:

Why is that in there? I searched for these variables down the code but they arene't used anywhere. So I guess it's a mistake.

All the car checks you do is with the local vars so all these global vars aren't needed. Well at least IE_IMPORT_CAR_1 till 16 isn't needed.

 

Today I will seriously finish the SSV garage.

The readme has come with just about anything available for download for about the last 8 years or so. It was originally called readme to give the obtainer the hint to read it wink.gif

It was just mapped out somewhere the various values of timecyc that actually control water color and opacity. Worth looking into. Oh and mike, we can't take things from one engine to the other wink.gif

Converting all the missions isn't just copy and paste.

The mission script for vice is a little different but that causes that we have to convert all the missions manually so that will take a lot of time and will be the hardest part of the project.

To make it more clear; The original gta3 mission script is 103796 lines, and we have to convert that.

And now that there are multiple coders collaborating, going from a completed mission to another release of the SCM can be a complicated matter. Not to mention all the sniff threads being reverse built, etc. By time it's finished, reviewing it is going to be like writing TT for a 3rd time cry.gif

Erm the names for the tick lines in your codes are:

 

$IE_PORT_CAR_1 until $IE_PORT_CAR_16

 

^Those are in the beginning of the code

so that is different then

 

$IE_IMPORT_CAR_1 until $IE_IMPORT_CAR_16

 

^Those are used in the create object lines

Thats why I couldn't find them when searching down the code.

I will change it in the source.
