ive tried many downloading many installers and my computer errors tha downloads out for some reazon, can some one PLEAZ put ur text and txd files on here????

Okay everytime i try and go to the Staunton save point the game freezes. What the hell.

It seems that you do not have audio installed properly. The game probably hangs when trying to play closing doors sound, which is either DOOR_1.WAV or DOOR_3.WAV, I forgot. There are a couple of reasons why that might happen:

-1. You do not use launcher to run the game

-2. The launcher somehow failed to update the exe properly

-3. You downloaded the corrupted archive and the audio folder was not present in the installer.

 

Solutions:

-1. Use the launcher

-2. No solutionto this one unfortunately. My launcher is screwed up.

-3. Redownload and reinstall LC.

Here's another idea from me: If someone starts making interiors for various places, you could use some Vice interiors in LC... maybe retextured or something. Sex club seven could use the interior of the strip club in VC... maybe you could have a marker at the bar that gets you drunk... I'd love to drive around Liberty drunk

Here's a new one that nobody's found out yet (I had to turn the hidden package cheat off to find it)

 

When you get 30 packages it says it delivers the body armour to your hideouts. But the pickups given at 30 packages are the grenades.

What else has to be done besides moving all the coordinates? Do the DFFs have to get converted to the Vice format? And does the same apply to the textures?

 

Like Wolly said, the TXD's and DFF's don't need to be converted, but there's plenty of other issues to deal with:

 

1. the generic.txd from gta3 was renamed gtaiii so the ide's need to be updated

2. even though the 2dfx lights worked with the original version of GTA:LC, they aren't working for me now...

3. the maps folder is now the gta3maps folder. That's just one reason to update the old readme's.

4. new object limits are popping up that were not an issue with the original version of GTA:LC.

5. correct me if I'm wrong but Smither's tool forces you to change each line individually. Regardless, nothing happens when I click the "set" buttons so it doesn't work on my computer which means I needed moomapper to update the ipls but moomapper crashed with the stunt park loaded so I needed a work around for that...

 

bottom line is: why make every person who uses these mods together have to sus these things out. Better to have one person do it (me) and then get that information to the public. Sound good?

This topic is for discussing old GTA3 mods to be installed in GTA:LC. I just finished putting together two such convos.

 

Ultimate Stunt Park by ODIE

 

and

 

Intercity Highway by ODIE and illspirit

 

These files are availble from gta.mods4us.net. Login, goto the downloads, and click Main : Modifications : Map Mods : GTA:LC maps.

 

On my computer I can actually load both mods at the same time using the safe installs (no 2dfx, no extra stunt park objects). Here's a screeny:

BIG QUESTION: Why does the game crash after loading the 2dfx lights?(it's because there's too many - duh)

(they worked with the first version of GTA:LC)

simple question? what is to be done when you want to "activate" the 24 cars?

i know there is a coding part (because they will not appear) but is there some more manipulations to do?

Hmmm... Newb at modding cars? Change the class of the cars in the default.ide into normal.

yea... a newb in modding. I thought it only changed the way the cars appear (eg: replacing "poorfamily" by "richfamily") but i did not know it

Nice work, its great to see someone working on coverting much loved mods from gta3 into GTA LC. I can't really help you with the technical side as I am a user of mods rather than a creator if you know what I mean.

 

BTW the links you posted are the same, might want to change that.

I had a problem loading gta: LC after i installed something that would change the background at the main screen. But i fixed that.

 

But now everytime i load a new game, or a saved game..the game just exits out for some reason. I dont know why. Please help.

not that i know of the version i played didn't but there is the highway patrol station and McOdies

Can you give me your IDE file of the Stunt-Park? 2 months ago I have found a way, that the Moo Mapper didn't crash, but you must give me yozr IDE-file of the Stunt-Park.

Pierce, i know you want to take some screenshots of LC. So heres what you have to do.

 

1.) Make sure you have the PC version of Vice City.

 

2.) Download and instal LC.

 

3.) Go here: http://www.freeload.de/download/16387/Util...e.Plus-2.9.html and download clipcache.

 

4.) Anytime your playing GTA: LC and think you see something cool make sure you have clipcache open and running. And while your playing just press the print screen button. (the one that says prt sc, or printscreen.)

 

5.) Go upload your pics to a picture uploading site. http://www.7uh.com/uploader/index.php

 

6.) Post your pictures here in the topic.

 

There, thats all you need to post pictures.

Don't even try to convert my archipeligo. It's a mess. I made it through my "I'm-too-cool-to-use-primatives" phase, and as such, the entire thing is poly modelled, meaning the normals of any given polygon will be random.
