Now whats this about a Love Media Helicopter? Sounds really cool...

We were planning on replacing the VCN Maverick with a Love Media helicopter. Mark was working on it a few months ago, but he ran into a few problems. Here is what it was supposed to look like.

I only post if absolutely necessary and I feel that this situation calls for it!

 

GTALC is some of the best modding work I have had the pleasure of DLing. I have read lots of nitpicks and I have two points to make - 1. this is a beta and 2. even the official games, GTA3 and VC, had bugs all over the place.

 

Instead of nitpicking, I want to mention some of the best "renovations" Ive seen added to Liberty so far.. besides the obvious...

 

- turning around and seeing a heli where you always wanted to see one

- the stadium is fixed!!! not just solid but it looks cool!

-a real pool on kenji's rooftop, are you kidding me! oh and its solid, i fell so many times through that f roof

- dodo handles like the skimmer

- not only is ghost town solid but i got swat guys down there ..

- i don't know if you're supposed to go all the way to Donald Love's roof but he only goes to the lower roof in my game. Still, I'm just happy he's going somewhere, he didn't have that capacity at all in GTA3

 

the list could go on and on and does -- GREAT FREAKIN JOB PEOPLE. I only wish I could do half of what I see you do!!!!!

Oh man, thats a bummer. That is a sweet looking heli too. I like the purple, something that I have never seen before.

 

The Head Radio Helicopter sounds sweet too. Damn, all these cool posibilities and none seem to work.

@lantern - Ewww that car is horrible, I can't stand FnF crap!

 

Yeah i know, people dont like FnF but i liked that car ever since i saw the movie and i was looking for it. Now that somebody made it im happy; and you gotta admit those were great screens.

 

@ Guilherme: Very nice shots! And your english is actually pretty good for somebody unfluent.

 

But without further adew.... More FNF cars! I just think they look sweet with liberty city as the setting when driving these in the game.

Can someone post the skin for the main character of GTA3? I cannot find a plain, unedited one anywhere. I want to make a different skin for him, like a tan leather jacket and blue jean pants.

Hey that's a great idea What, as I too have installed cars over ones that don't appear on the roads in LC and I find it annoying when wanting to get them.

I also noticed that crazydude's Rumpo XL had black windows, I fixed it but I don't see any of those anymore.....

 

I'll do a pack (later) including an updated VCN Maverick (textures and color), the updated Rumpo XL, and MAYBE something more.

BTW, the video is coming around well, I got a lot of good stuff in it as far as stunts and especially editing. I hope to release it within a couple of days. I just need a host for it.

I'm not sure what that error means, that'll be one for Smithers to take a look at I'm sure. You can install the mod manually though, here's a quick copy & paste from earlier on in the thread.

 

Delete the following folders from your VC installation first:

 

/data

/icons

/models

/text

/txd

 

NOT /audio

 

In their place add the contents of the /source folder from the installer package, making sure you follow the Yes prompt when you overwrite files in the /audio folder.

 

Once you're done make sure you run the game from the launcher - gta-lc.exe.

@G®€€n Lan†€®n: That green car is horrible it doesn't fit LC at all. And although your screenshots are Jpeg they are still 600Kb!! Mine are between the 30 and the 50 Kb and they are even bigger (800x600) And the quality is the same.

Ah darn, i though noone found it...well anyway ...

But if it only takes place in someplace you're not supposed to be at and the game never takes you, what difference does it make It was funnier before we blanked out the escalators

 

@Samutz: If you're referring to the buoys, it is known. The game's water level is hard coded. We MAY at some point raise the map to accomodate that and the water wake bug. Those two things are not enough to warrant all the effort IMO, but it was discussed before.

So, today I bought Vice City.

I installed the mod, and all thinks works. But now I want ODIE's Highway, I know how to convert things from GTA3 to Vice City, and I moved the complete highway to right places, but when I start the game, so after 3 seconds in the game (I can see the player ) the game crashes.

 

Can somebody give me the highway when it works? Sorry for my terrible English...

@WHAT: I've already spent too much time on the unofficial aspects of this mod and not enough on the official. To make matters worse, the unofficial work I've done has caused a lot of controversy in the past.

He's saying if you know how to convert the Map from GTA3 to GTA:LC it's easy to do.

 

But if you've never done it before your going to find it hard. It will requre you to change/convert the enterys in different files becasue of the placement of land in GTA:LC.
