I run a TripleHead system ... 3 x 19" TFT's my desktop is 3840x1024.....

I can run games at this resolution ... YOUR ... Liberty City runs fine and smooth at 3840x1024 ... FAA-16x ... and looks Great !

OK the HUD is stretched but everything else is stunning ...

 

I have read a lot of stuff on the internet poo-pooing the Matrox Parhelia but are there any other cards that can do this ... ?

Hello, new to the forum and everything. I checked the whole thread, but if this has been posted elsewhere I'm sorry.

 

Just a few little bugs I noticed; first of all, there's no collision detection here (not sure if that's true for GTA3 or not):

 

 

And secondly, the shotgun in GTA3 fires one shot, then the guy pumps the action, but in GTA:LC, it never gets pumped.

 

Plus, I already read why it's impossible/extremely difficult to change the fonts, but would it, at least, be possible to recolor them so they're not all pastel?

Paddywak insted of bragging on about how good a video card is, i think it whould be a lot cooler and easier to just get a graphics card with a TV out and and 28+" Flat screen tv. At the moment i am just using a 21" normal monitor which is good enough for me!

Nope. Colors are hardcoded.

You can't stand in the bed of the flatbed. Although you can stand about 5 feet above it. I'm guessing the collision detection from the stack of lumber is still in place.

why not replace the cuban hermes with te diablo stallion? so you get the flames coming out the exhaust?

 

plus for those 24 free slots i reckon we should make our own gta3 style car look - laikes like Mark's mercedes thing, it would be well worth it and i would shurely be up to the challenge of doing 4/5

 

also Gta3 cars are lower end from vc cars, so if we got a few vc cars, re-bodytrexured them and got rid of the fancy stuff and made them rather plain like Gta3 1's they should be able to be included to

I just found a new problem with the cars. The hardtop Stinger (in the Sabre slot) will not show up in my game at all. I even tried putting it in Dem's spawning code and no cars show up when I push the buttons. Has anybody else seen this car (the Stinger with a roof)?

 

It's in the parking lot by that underpass that takes you to fort stauton. Atleast thats where i've seen it.

a bug that i have found is the Sentinel has a texture missing, i will fix it and put a download in the vhecles section in a min tho

Another thing that I don't think would be difficult to change (but what do I know)...in GTA3, when you shot someone's car, they would almost ALWAYS speed away, although once in a blue moon that'd get out of the car and run away. In Vice City, however, and currently GTA:LC, it's just the opposite: People usually get out of the cars and run, and only occasionally drive off in fear. So, yeah, that should be switched around.

I'm sorry you thought I was "bragging on about how good a video card " that was not my intention ...

This is a thread about screenshots ... I was just trying to explain my screenshots and why they are the way they are ....

I thought that there may be some people interested....

I added the bit about reading stuff poo-pooing the Parhelia just to defend the card in advance ... because I HAVE read a lot of stuff on the internet poo-pooing the Matrox Parhelia.

 

... in-fact I'm sure that there will be some people interested even if you are not.

 

So please next time ... instead of looking for an angle to have a go at someone just to sound clever .... say nothing ... that way you won't make such a prat of yourself.

A "whole New Adventure"

 

i would imgine for some missions to be differant, and others added plus you have:-

 

- Bikes

 

- Heli's

 

- Better ingame engine physics

 

- shootable glass

 

- jump in convertible moves

 

- blowout tires

 

- Spike strips

 

- more cars

 

- a seaplane and normal plane

 

---------------------------------------------------

 

Now all of those things, Gta3 didn't have making it technicly a Whole new Experiance/Adventure
