This mod is up as a news item on thr Race sim central forums which also have around 50,000 members so I would say if you wanted publicity then you have certainly got it wink.gif .

Well I told just about all my friends about it and as far as I know at least 10 of them downloaded it. But still amazing how much publicity this mod gets and how many people donwnloaded this.

This release is the biggest in the history of GTAF (I guess).

about the stingers n sabers thingy... i have seen sabres, the gta3 stingers with top right? but the thing is i've played for more than 24 hrs accumulatively to finally get them to appear.

 

i dunno if this just happens on my machine, if the cars r supposed to appear randomly plus the frequency percentage, sometimes the same type of cars for example like the banshee seems to appear 24/7 while the cheetah takes half a day non-game-time to ever show up once or vice versa. that is if u're lucky enough not to miss it n catch it b4 it disappears again. but when i check the default.ide, a lot of cars with the same class n faq seem to have uneven chance of appearance. traffic is only half as dense as the original gta3 as well.

 

anyways, can any one explain to me something? in the default.ide, theres the class, the frq, n theres the lvl... what exactly does the lvl do? all i know is after i changed some of the car's lvl, they appear a lot more often now. for example...

 

both stinger n saber in default.ide has there line like:

blah blah blah, executive, 10, 6, 2ff0, 250, 0.7 right?

 

well i changed one of their line to

blah blah blah, executive, 10, 5, 2ff0, 250, 0.7

 

as a result of changing the lvl differenly, now i begin to see both types on the stingers a lot more often. but since i donno what thing lvl really do, i have yet to see any side effects, or i couldn't tell theres a side effect when it occured. n so i begin messing with that lvl thingy. so far i haven't seen any cars appearing yet with a lvl number higher than 7. i hope this contributes somethings to u guys

Hello, a long time ago, I had extracted all the 32 Bit particles from GtaVC PS2 and put them in PC for the LC2004 mod, now I want them to be in GTALC, here is the download, you will need WinRar:

Are you sure that's not your video card? I've seen see-through fences in the original 3 and VC, and not just fences, lots of over stuff that has transparency as well. I always thought it was because I had a crappy video card that couldn't handle the transparency correctly.

I only changed the GTA:III player model in this to the GTA:VC one because it looks better with a normal neck...

If you check the Peds thread you can get a fixed Fido model made by me. Look at the pick of Fido in my sig, you can see his neck is perfect wink.gif . Now I understand why the Fido model has only had 13 hits on my host.

 

By the way what vid capturing software did you use for that?

Well I have a unofficial contribution to.

 

It is a simple mission script that is perfect for making very nice screenshots.

I released it before in the mission coding section but no one seemed to care.

What it does is turning on widescreen and makes a camera rotate around you or your car with a simple sinus calculation.

Just insert the create thread together with the others and the rest before Mission 1.

Turn it on by pressing the Radio key in a car or the Tab (answer phone) key on foot.

I might also make it more advanced so you can move the camera yourself.

 

And I was also thinking of a mod to turn on widescreen and then place the camera in front of the player/car so you wont see the player or his car in the screenshot.

And another thing might be a time exelerator(sp?) to increase the time very fast so you can get the correct sun light for you screenshot.

Well I'm so addicted to playing it that I didn't had time for updating yet. I will do it now.

 

And it's unbelievable how many hits this mod has until now.

Hi, I´m new to these forums, so don´t flame me to death right away. biggrin.gif

 

Ok, my problem is with the radio stations, as I am trying to use the GTA III ones. I´ve done everything that the readme says, yet I STILL have the VC radio!

 

I´ve copied all the stations from the audio folder in GTA III, and converted them to mp3. Then I used the audiodecoder prog to convert the mp3 files to adf files. After that I changed the names to the right ones, as the readme says.

I even tried copying the entire audio folder from the VC cd to my LC folder and adding the GTA III radio on top of that.

Doesn´t work! confused.gif

 

The mod is great though, even without the "right" radio. Gj guys. cookie.gif

Firstly I used Fraps 2 - (Fully paid) and then I transferred the .avi to Adobe Premiere 6.5 and converted it to a uncompressed .gif which I then transferred to Adobe ImageReady 7.0 (which I got with Adobe Photoshop 7.0) which I edited the frames (I don't know if you noticed when I first uploaded the clip it was a bit jumpy that was 'cos it copied a lot of the frames which I have to individually delete) I then compressed it to 1MB max so I could upload it to:

There is an issue right now with the radio stations if you boot with the GTA: Vice City CD in the drive. If the CD's loaded, the game looks there first for the radio stations. Now that we're able to sort of adjust the exe file, we might be able to fix this so everybody, and not just those with a CD-less exe (no, don't ask for it here, you will not get it) can enjoy Chatterbox.

I've also been going to other forums to see what people are thinking and it's obvious that very few are coming here and reading the forum. I'm seeing a lot of complaints about the PCJ wheelie problem, the Vice City peds and gangs, and how horrible Fido looks. If they would just visit here and look around, they'd see we've already fixed (or are fixing) those issues.
