I read about the 5 missions but so far only found one... the one where you drive around the park on the 2nd island in the blazer type vehicle that gives you 10 seconds for each blue sphere you drive through... how do you find the others?

Again, read the readme suicidal.gif Too much time was put into it for everybody to just skip over it mad.gif Some appreciation...

it want that mod rolleyes.gif but i have one question...can i change the cars like in vc? i mean that if i change a car wich setup i should use? wheels - 89, or wheels - 249? GTA3 setup or GTA Vc setup?

Well I made another Fido, one problem is that his right arm will bend weird. Well I haven't tested it yet so whoever wants to test it here is the link:

hey guys, I just wanted to see what display settings you use for Liberty City that make it look good and run smooth. Right now I am having somewhat of a lag problem and I want to see what you guys use as display settings(frame limiter, draw distance, etc...) to see if that will eliminate the lag. whatsthat.gif

To answer all modding questions like this one: this is the Vice City engine. Vice City modding rules apply. So after DMagic's installed, use wheel number 249.

I have a couple of ideas, sorry if they've been posted before or if they aren't possible

 

More save points/garages (ex. Salvatore's Mansion, Cartel Mansion, Asuka's place)

 

Clothes Changes. Maybe have them at the save points, you could have different Gang-wear, policewear, or maybe even create new models and clothes (or use VC models).

 

Thanks to everyone who is working on this mod, it may just be enough to hold me over 'till SA comes out biggrin.gif

It would be cool if someone could make it so that the original VC cars (the ones not replaced by LC cars) would drive around

 

Maybe someone could fill up some of those empty parking spaces around the city?

I am making it better. I can't fix the pointy shoulders due to lower poly than VC models.

His hands hold weapons better, there are a few minor bugs like when on a motorbike his arms go thin, other than that he is a good update.

The head & neck are perfect, a big improvement over the current model, nice and chunky. It's a shame about the pointy shoulders, sounds as if it's going to be a problem you'll be facing with the rest of the ped conversions too. confused.gif

 

Other than that there's one other glitch that seems to be standing out at the mo, and that's the movement on his backside/belt area:

From that pic it looks as though there might be a single sided face problem on his trouser bottoms and the pocket flaps too. From what I gather ped conversion's as tricky as it gets, kudos on the progress you've made since the beta you released earlier today. colgate.gif

It's good, I like it. The main bug we've got with the release weapon.dat is that the AK can still be used in drive-by's, no longer a problem with this file.

 

einstein, I can add this to official downloads on my host unless you'd prefer to host this yourself. smile.gif

Red: The process of converting models to VC involves selecting vertices and linking them to the specific bone, so what happened here was that I linked that vertice(s) to his R Thigh which results in those kind of problems.

 

Blue: I didn't fully patch him in Zmod blush.gif

Actually, with the shotgun & AK problems in v2 I thought it best to compile a weapon.dat based on code you guys had been releasing in the weapons thread. Turned out a little buggy in itself, but with no crash problems I thought it'd be okay to include in the first release. With v3 just released at least that's now been cleared up. wink.gif

 

The problem with the fish factory is that it's a double model in a single file. The normal building, and the destroyed building. To correct the roof the model's going to have to be edited directly, and ideally I'd like to do this in Blender, except Blender always wants to add blue into any prelighting I add... once I work out where I'm going wrong, this (as well as the picnic tables outside the Bistro in St. Mark's) is going to be taken care of.

Red: Thought so, I remember noticing something similar on the original beta of the LC cop model you released a while back. The vertices on his utility belt hadn't been finalised just yet, looked as if they had a life of their own and didn't take kindly to being attached to the schmuck in blue. biggrin.gif

 

Blue: This is another difference between the engines that's going to haunt us till the end. tounge2.gif

One bit of advice I can give straight away is to have the frame limiter ON. Although you'll get higher framerates with it off, you'll start experiencing the fading texture problem like that produced by too many 32bit textures... only more extreme.

Well I'm impressed to see that this Beta release has inspired two individuals asking me for help on converting peds to LC.

* Please note that if you use "Create From Closet Bones" you might not get a properly converted model. You can get tutorials on things like "Bone Weight" and "Vertex Groups" from the web, I don't actually know where.
