El Dildo 14,384
I've enjoyed Vice City for PC for several months, been installing just new cars and a few small map mods (just retexturing of old buildings like Pizza Hut). I've installed many cars though, all high quality, high poly models. Everything has worked fine up until a couple days ago. I installed 3 particular mods that day. A Mustang, a Celica, and a map mod which retextured the water/gas plant acorss from the car dealership which put BP Air logos on the tanks. All of a sudden, certain areas in the game crash when I drive into them. I've only encountered 2... so far. Each time the game freezes and quits with an "Unhandled Exception" error. The first spot I noticed was on the first island right around the area where the Well Stacked Pizza and Jewlery store are (behind, or just to the north of the Malibu club). Within a certain radius it seems, as soon as I get near those couple little streets behind the Malibu, the game crashes and I get: Unhandled exception: c0000005 At adress: 00541109 When I click on 'get more info' on this error I get: Offset: 00141109 Up until these last 3 mods everything's worked fine. So of course, I uninstalled them, replaced them with the appropriate original .dff and .txd files as well as any handling.cfg, carcol.dat, and default.ide lines. But for some reason the crashes still occur. So now I don't know what to do. My game version is still out-of-the-box. I don't have 1.0 becuase due to the description of what it fixes, I've never needed it. Here are my cpu specs: WinXP Pentium4 1500MHz 1.50 GHz 512 MB of RAM 64MB nVidia GeForce 4 4400 Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
Demarest 24
Belongs in editing discussion. If you were using IMG Tool for the transplants, you need to rebuild the archive. Whatever it is, it's definitely an incompatibility between a couple mods or an incorrect setting in one of the data files (or the IMG thing I mentioned). Just restore your most recent backup and experiment from there.

We'll see how it gets on here first, it seems like a troubleshooting issue to me, but if you can't get your problem solved, I'll be happy to move it.
El Dildo 14,384
Well Demarest that's the thing, I always rebuild the archive when I'm done AND like I said I have gone back to my latest backups yet it's still crashing.
