Really? Thanks for telling me. I almost bought it last night at FYE but decided to wait for Friday's paycheck.

 

 

What made it suck?

It was too radio friendly. The first two songs are ok. and then there is this one song on there called "Echo Of My Scream" which is pretty good, but the rest of it is just terrible. Plus I've always hated Burtons singing voice, and he sings a lot this time around. The songs on the album don't even have an attempt at being heavy.

Archetype didn't meet their standard, either. 3-5 good songs on it, the rest of the 13 songs are just fillers. Sad, I think; FF have made some good stuff.

I just got the new Exodus album, Shovel Headed Kill Machine. So far it's pretty f*cking sweet, although the absence of the ToTD vocalist is really obvious. He made that album worthy of memory, and it just isn't the same...

Screaming for Vengeance right now, although I've been listening to Painkiller on and off. I only got Screaming last night. Which one would you say is better?

 

niteangel: I guess it kinda depends on what you thought of the old Chimaira. This new album is considerably heavier, especially with reguards the drumming. That being said, it still feels kinda incomplete, much like the old Chimaira stuff did. I've never been a fan but the new album is definately an improvement, IMO.

I think the new Chimaira album is really good. It's basically new songs in the style of the old ones. It wasn't really an improvement but it wasn't a downfall either. They stay on the same level so it all depends whether you like the old stuff or not.

Holy f*ck? I thought it was just Vader? I really wish I got a job this summer. I mean lets see, this show in November, the Exodus show Groovy told me about, and an upcoming tour with Opeth in the winter I think. God. I regret not spendning my entire summer looking for a job.
