Recently, I've been watching the Pantera DVD that came with 'The Best of Pantera' album. Most of the content of the DVD is music videos, but there are also two live performances. I love watching Dimebag look out into the crowd and play his guitar.

Yeah, that's waht happens. Ya know what sucks? I bought the DVD just to see that, but meh, since i've bought the DVD, i've come to love that album. King is an amazing guitarist.

For Hendrix either get "Are You Experienced?" or "Experience Jimi Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix". For Sabbath I'd probably get Paranoid.

EDIT: anybody hear about the new Lamb Of God DVD Kiladelphia? I was thinking of getting it.

Well worth getting. I've seen it, it's basically just a couple of weeks on the road with Lamb of God. It includes a fair amount of live performances, but the really good stuff is watching them f*ck around with each other. Definately worth getting.

As previously reported, IRON MAIDEN were pelted with eggs, interrupted by chants for Ozzy Osbourne, and inexplicably had their power cut several times during its final Ozzfest performance in Devore on Saturday night (August 20). In addition, Osbourne's wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, came onstage following MAIDEN's set to call MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson a "prick," while offering thanks to the rest of MAIDEN and their crew.

 

Ozzfest continues tomorrow (Tuesday, August 23) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with VELVET REVOLVER replacing MAIDEN on the tour's last seven shows.

necroticism is such an awesome album.

i always liked the new order more though,

trial by fire is still a great song.

 

lately ive been listening to napalm death - the code is red,

mastadon - leviathan, monstrosity - millenium,

and some black dahlia murder.

f*cking right it was f*cked up. I mean, what the f*ck? Chucking eggs at one of the first heavy metal bands? One of the most influential too I think at least. There isn't more to the story. The fact is that these f*cking little pricks today would rather listen to sh*t like Slipknot or Ozzy even when he can barely f*cking move and talk then watch f*cking Iron Maiden who are like in their 50's now still kick major ass. I mean I saw a recent live video of them doing "The Trooper" and it was awesome. They were jumping all over the place and everything. Words can not describe how f*cked up this is.

yeah i heard more about it on the howard stern show today.

 

i guess maiden kept getting interupted by the announcer,

and the power was cut three times.

there was also a guy that ran onstage with "dont f*ck with ozzy" painted on him.

 

the audience was also throwing beer caps, bottles,

and ice along with the eggs.

and bruce dickinson even got spit upon.

 

in the end it seems like a lot of people think it was all premeditated because of the trouble between maiden and sharon osbourne.

i mean who brings eggs to a metal show?

 

still though,

ive been to concerts where the bands have had their electronic troubles but i never once took it out on the band themselves,

the whole audience at that show should be crucified for what they did.

f*ck ozzy.

They didn't. They thanked all the Maiden fans for putting up with this sh*t at the end. Everytime their performance was cut by the PA they'd just get into another song.

 

This is how it went. I heard it this way.

 

Before the show Sharon and Kelly went around asking the supporting bands and people to throw eggs at Iron Maiden. Bury Your Dead thought it was a good idea but all the other bands shrugged it off thinking the idea was stupid as hell.

 

 

Iron Maiden starts playing and gets sh*t thrown at them. One member of Black Label Society's entourage starts chanting OZZ-Y OZZ-Y over the PA. He does this three times.

 

Another member of Black Label Society's entourage comes on stage barechested with "Don't f*ck With Ozzy" written on his chest holding an American Flag. That was right around the time where Bruce takes out the British Flag for The Trooper.

 

Eddie also appeared later for some reason. And because of this Bruce started ripping on Ozzy saying him and his bands will never be on MTV and you will never see them in a reality show. This pissed off all the Ozzy fans. Maiden finished their set and Sharon came out.

 

She said thanks to Iron Maiden but Bruce is a prick. At that time the audience started booing her and you could hear people calling her a bitch.

 

Half of the people left by the time Black Sabbath took stage.

 

So f*cking unprofessional.

Yeah, I didnt say they walked off. Fair on them that they didnt, my wording of it was kinda bent so yeah apologies.

 

Some guy on Musician Forums who went to that gig said he got pissed when Bruce was waving the british flag and some guy went up behind him and started waving the american flag.
