On another note has anyone heard the new Opeth Track "The Grand Conjuration" and does anyone know when Ghost Reveries is out in the UK?

Yeah, they have the track on Roadrunnerrecords.com but you have to sign up or something. The track itself has a pretty dark tone to it. The site should have the UK release date as well.

I'm pretty sure there's a link somewhere in this topic to the song. It was ripped from Sirius.

There is a better quality version of it out. The song "Ghost of Perdition" has been leaked aswell, not great quality, better than the sirus "Grand Conjuration" rip, though.

I've got the better quality version, the one that was ripped from Sirius, is barely listenable and very low quality. The album looks to be out the 30th August but i'm not sure if thats only for the US, the RR site isn't very specific.

Besides for the fact that it's missing some actual great hits off the CD and replaced them with sh*t. "Trust"? "Angry Again"? Those songs, although classic, do not deserve the "Greatest Hit" title.

 

I'll save my money till the "Arsenal of Megadeth" DVD comes out.

Where the hell is "Hook In Mouth", "Tornado of Souls" and "Foreclosure of a Dream"? All three of those songs are just a greatest hits album together.

I agree with Tornado, to a lesser extent Hook, but Foreclosure of a dream? I never thought that song was very good. If their was another song on the cd, It should have been Architecture Of Aggression, Rattlehead, Tornado Of Souls, Set The World Afire, or Good Mourning / Black Friday.

@ Digital Murders: While Foreclosure of a Dream is indeed a kickass song, I would still pick Countdown to Extinction over it. I feel the same about Tornado of Souls, great f*cking song but I would take Polaris any day.

 

Anyway, street cheetah, I didn't dig Unhallowed that much because some of the riffs seemed metalcore-ish. The irregular blastbeat drums weren't to my liking either.

Well, I get to FYE, and No Death, and No Tempo Of The Damned. So I ended up buying Youthanasia by Megadeth. I'm a little less than half way through it, been good so far. And I still haven't gotten my damn Megadeth shirt in the mail too.

Quick question, i'm wondering about Opeth CDs. So far i've only been able to get Still Life as my local music shops are crappy. So seeing as I can only order online I'm wondering which album to get next. I know i'm definately getting Ghost Reveries when its out but from there back catalogue what would you guys recomend? I've also got the Lamentations DVD aswel.

 

Also would you guys recomend the Dream Theater - Live Scenes From New York DVD?
