FUNNY, that Immortal page had me in stiches. Moonshield, your idea is great because you incorporated some clever references to the online community and you used the that car (OMG, is that Kit?).

 

What's UM? I want more.

 

If only I could find the link to the pictures of Thor's Hammer in their black metal garb in a Seattle suburben scene in a freshly manicured lawn looking like they are about to attack someone with rakes and shovels and stuff, and then there's another shot where they're about to attack a car engine with wrenches and screwdrivers. Priceless, and surprisingly high quality. Please if anyone knows the link I'd be in your debt.

Hey guys ministry is rolling through my city in october and I need to know if there anygood live(I'm not a big fan of industrial metal but there are hardley ever good metal acts in my city). I was goin to see killswitch engage but tickets are sold out.

"In Case You Didn't feel like showing up" is one of my favorite live albums, but alas, Ministry is much different today then they were back then. Alien has lost the edge, the art, the bringing together of multiple extreme musics (Rigor Mortis meets Skinny Puppy? fukking revolutionary), he's now but a shadow of what he once was. FYI, don't bother with the first albums. He didn't get heavy until "The Land of Rape and Honey" which you don't need to get as virtually everything from that and the two following releases appear on "In Case..." and as much better versions.

I got some new cds today. I got Death - Spititual Healing and Leprosy, Exodus - Tempo of the damned, and Opeth - Deliverance.

EDIT: me and my band are playin the schools battel of the bands tommorow. there havin one to kick off the start of school and me and my band are gonna do a cover of lamb of gods 11th hour. Its gonna be good cause all the bands are wannabe punk pop bands cept for mine and this other death metal band.

Gwar rules. Sexicutioner is one of my favorite songs from that time. Since no one commented about the Ministry / Rigor-Mortis connection, I'll assume that guys aren't into them and I'll take this opportunaty to mention that there's also a connection between Rigor Mortis and Gwar.

Man... this is the most pathetic metal thread I've ever seen. So much nu metal (yeah, I hate it too, suck on it).

 

I skipped over most of this thread, it was hard to find the good posts amidst so many bad ones.

 

Any fans of Death, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Arsis, Carnal Forge, The Haunted, Jag Panzer, Darkest Hour, etc.? I'm not a fan of the "jump the f*ck up!" style of metal that seems a little popular these days.

 

And now looking back I can see Megadeth fans in here... there is hope after all! Anyone going to the DC date of the Megadeth fall tour?

I've heard that The Haunted's rEVOLVEr is a great step up from the mediocre One Kill Wonder, though I've yet to hear it. Hopefully I get it soon. Have you yet?
