I'm a Bodom fan for the most part. However I think their latest effort "Are You Dead Yet?" was pure crap. Alexi's vocals seem to get worse every album. That being said my favorite album would have to be "Hatebreeder" followed by "Follow the Reaper" then "Something Wild", although "Something Wild" has my favorite song, "Deadnight Warrior". Their live album "Tokyo Warhearts" is also great. Hate Crew Deathroll is good too just not as good. It has a lot of good keyboard parts that I love. I would of seen them back in November with Amon Amarth but the tickets were f*cking sold out.

What do you know, that was my first album too. I'd get "Scream Bloody Gore", the first album. The vocals I think are much better there than on "Symbolic" and it has the very kick ass song "Zombie Ritual".

I don't have Something Wild, but Follow The Reaper and Hatebreeder are really good. I really admire Laiho's lines.

 

Anyway, I recently picked up Killing is my Business by Megadeth. I have no idea why everyone loves Rust In Peace so much, KIMB is much better IMO.

I actually like Mustaine's Vocals on this one.

While Hanger 18 mgiht be f*cking amazing, it's really the only song that I like on the album. The rest are awesome, but they're jsut not catchy rythums.

I've had Rattlehead stuck in my head for like 3 days.

So I didn't find The Real Thing in FYE, so I bought SYL's Alien. I'm on Skeksis right now. Pretty damn good.

I'v been meaning to buy it, just never got the chance. Your right though, it is quite the album. I'm loving the picture in the back of the book. Dev has the collest facial expressions I'v ever seen.

 

Oh, and The New Black should rule too. I'v only heard "You Suck", but that song rules.

Well today I picked up a couple DVD's. Strapping Young Lad's "For Those Aboot to Rock" and Amon Amarth's "Wrath of the Norsemen". I haven't got a chance to see either of them but I'll let you know how they are when I get home.

Yeah well that is my favorite. Thanks. The rest don't stick out as much to me as "We Ride". "We Ride", "Love?", "sh*tstorm" and "Skeksis" are all of my favorites from the album.

 

 

On that note the DVD f*cking rocks. Devon sporting a green foam cowboy hat and telling the audience "We be pirates, swab our poop decks." is great.

EDIT - I watched the rest of the Amon Amarth DVD last night. Man that was one awesome show. They even had vikings come out on stage during "Amon Amarth" and fight. It was pretty sick.

By the look at that art I wonder if the music will be any different. Don't get me wrong I like Maiden's style but in recent albums all the songs have started to sound similar to one another. I wonder if they approached this album differently. Which led me to ask this question out of nowhere. "I wonder what Maiden would be like with a thrash metal sound?". Don't ask why I asked that question, it just came out of nowhere.
