Digital Murders
Scyth + Abbath corpse paint = very high.

Incorrect.

They are in a very white surburban area. They need to be a top a large mountain. At least a hill.

This brings down their rating to about a 5. And the kid on the right doesn't have his pentagram upside down.

Maybe they are out trick or treating.

I have faith that they are pillaging.

I'm guessing they haven't started yet, as there is no fire or corpses in sight.

They're probably going to take their moms mini-van to get ice cream after.

Behind them is a trail of death.

No dough this post will get questions and and maybe even some fighting.

It would be badass if you could some how photoshop them into the Blashyrh (Mighty Ravendark) video, like a still of it.

I like In Flames. =(

Their new CD isn't all that bad.

Vocals could use more work though.

Yeah, now-a-days if Anders just shut the f*ck up, In Flames wouldn't be so bad.

Off topic note:

Have any of you heard Graveworm's cover of REM's "Losing my Relgion"?

Or Children of Bodom's "Oops! I did it again"?

What other covers of this nature exist?

I don't know which albums the songs I listened to are from but so far I've heard Jaktens Tid, Trollhammaron, Midnattens Widunder, and Forsvinn Du Som Lyser. I like them all but out of all of them I'm liking Trollhammaron the best.

Good, good. Seems like you've grabbed material from each of their albums. They've moved away from the Midnattens Widunder sound with Jaktens Tid and Nattfodd, but I don't see that as a problem and you probably won't either. All of their albums except Visor Om Slutet are heavily laden with both metal and folk influences, but Visor features more acoustic instrumentation and folk, with an abscence of metal entirely. Of course, it's still a kick ass album. As of now, their discography is still small so I don't think it'd be very hard for you to acquire their albums. I recommend getting the Trollhammaren EP, too, as it features some cool tunes that weren't included on Nattfodd.

And yes, Trollhammaren f*cking rocks.

I heard of the Graveworm cover but never heard it, and I heard Bodom's cover of Oops, I Did it Again. I lost hope in the band after hearing it.

I've heard the cover of Losing my Religon, and I love it.

Hostile: Sweet. Appears two tracks are missing from the Promo for some secret reason though.

Hey, all. Just stopping in again because I would like some album recommendations for the following bands:

Annihilator

Behemoth

Bloodbath

Carcass

Death Angel

Decapitated

Emperor

Iced Earth

Immolation

Kataklysm

Kreator

Meshuggah

Nevermore

Overkill

Vader

If any of the bands on that list suck and aren't worth listening to, please tell me because I'm not familiar with any of them. Also, it would be cool if you could recommend some heavy, thrash, death, prog, and black metal bands that aren't very popular but are worthy of recognition. Cheers.

For Emperor get "In the Nightside Eclipse". Its the only Emperor album I own so far but its a good one no less.

EDIT - One more thing. For Kreator, I don't own any of their albums but I have songs from Outcast and Pleasure to Kill. Phobia (Outcast) is my favorite song.

Death Angel - Since their first 2 albums aren't available, grab either Act III or The Art of Dying.

Kreator - The only album by them taht I have is Coma of Souls, and t's fabulous.

Overkill - RelixIV is great, and it's easily found, but grab The Years of Decay if you can, I like it alot better.

Thanks, everyone. Any takers for the Annihilator and Sodom recommendations?

Agent Orange and M-16 for Sodom. Too bad they don't sell those albums at the store I go to, and they even have a Sodom section. Theres just never anything in it.

Sodom I don't know sh*t about but from Annihilator, get Refresh The Demon. That's the one I like the most. The thing about Annihilator is that they didn't start sucking sh*t like most bands do over time. They keep pumping out good thrash.

Annihilator wise, if your starting out, get there best of. It covers there three albums on roadrunner, plus a live disc and a rareties cd.

The first two Death Angel cds are still available, but in a box set. Act III by them is quite good too.

Indeed. Also in that box set is a bunch of demo tapes by them. I'm trying to locate a copy.

They have a live album, right?

I'm going to try and grab taht Annihilator cd too.

I did a search in this topic for Boris but nothing came up. They obliterate Sunn O))), if you want to compare the two.

Speaking o)))f them, post that music review topic already Moon.

These limited edition titles, previously unavailable for domestic distribution, are one-time pressings and for the American fan a must have for their artist collections. The first in the series, limited to 500 for the American marketplace, are set for release

Coming April 18 is the 2LP/colored vinyl pressing of the critically acclaimed "Isa" from ENSLAVED as well picture-disc versions of "Hatecrew Deathroll" and "Follow the Reaper" from CHILDREN OF BODOM. More titles are planned for the coming months.

Candlelight Records launched its American division January 2001. The company enjoyed its largest growth in 2005 and anticipates further growth in 2006. Upcoming releases for the label include the new EP from VADER ("The Art of War", in stores January 24), "Farsotstider" from THYRFING (in stores February 7; the band making their U.S. live debut this coming weekend at the Heathen Crusaders Festival), DAYLIGHT DIES label debut ("Dismantling Devotion", in stores March 7) as well new records from DISMEMBER, ZYKLON, ENSLAVED, KEEP OF KALESSIN, GORGOROTH, STARKWEATHER, ENTOMBED and more.
