Hey, guys. Just stopping by to post this histerical episode of Duck Dodgers with Dave Mustaine I recently stumbled across.

http://media.putfile.com/Megadeth_on_DD

Enjoy. biggrin.gif

Haha. That was funny. I thought Hanger 18 would of been a better song choice though.

Seen it. It sucks that Warner Brothers would resort to fellating musicians like that.

Damn dude, that must've been great. That's right after Bork released my favorite album of theirs too.

Yeah it was a killer show.Borknagar ruled they played tunes from my fav.Bork album "The Olden Domain" but they didn't do my favorite song

"Grimland domain"

That was a hell of a lot better than that episode of Aquateen with Zakk Milds ass.

I'm off to see Opeth, The Devin Townsend Band and Dark Trainquillity on March 3rd. It will rock thoroughly

New Terrorizer track here. Personally I don't think they'll ever reach the quality that World Downfall was.

world downfall was awesome.

i first heard them on that grindcrusher compilation.

but that was ages ago, i'm surpried to hear them coming out with new material.

should be sweet.

i came home a couple hours ago with...

Confessor - Unraveled, Sentenced - Crimson, and Carcass -Swansong.

carcass is the only one i've listened to so far.

i've been wanting to hear it but avoided getting it all this time because i didnt like the way they changed their style from necroticism to heartwork.

and swansong is very similar to heartwork, shame really.

still a good album though, just not as heavy, more melodic, not nearly as crazy, and the lower pitched vocals are gone.

meh, i'll just stick with the first 3 and the tools ep.

@digital, i recently heard the new devin townsend bands album.

its too much like his ocean machine sh*t, way too mellow with too many acoustic parts.

i guess i just like devys syl, all the other stuff i've bought from him i didn't care for.

shame because i always have to wait several years in between syl albums, and i still can't get enough.

Lol, Lamb Of God.

So yeah, my Megadeth fan stuff finally came, after six f*cking months. The signed Dave pic is cool, I got the Back To The Start shirt, also cool, and an acoustic bootleg cd, which f*cking ruled.

God damn Greater Of Two Evils.

I'm buying a cd today. I'm gonna eathier buy the Opressing The Masses/Torture Tactics 2 on 1 By Vio-lence if FYE have it, or the new Kreator or Nuclear Assault, or maybe Metal Discharge by Destruction.

Whats some other good stuff I should get that are like that, and could be found at an FYE?

Any of you guys listen to Lamb of God? I'm f*cking hooked.

I do, but my opinio is not especially well appreciated around here.

Some of their stuff is really good, but god dammit, their vocalist should be shot.

I got the CDs when a freind got tired of them and gave 'em to me. So silly. I'd never throw out a CD.

You can find Ghost Reveries, Blackwater Park, Damnation and Deliverance at FYE, or at mine at least. Theres some Cannibal Corpse albums there last time I checked too, I saw a few other death metal bands there too. I think one was Obituary.

ATHEIST Regroup, Announce Exclusive Festival Appearances - Jan. 13, 2006

Seminal technical metal pioneers ATHEIST have regrouped for a run of exclusive live performances.

Guitarist/vocalist Kelly Shaefer has reassembled what is widely considered the band's classic recording lineup (Shaefer, guitarist Rand Burkey, bassist Tony Choy, and drummer Steven Flynn) for two exclusive festival performances; Italy's Evolution Festival and Germany's Wacken Open Air. Shaefer comments, "We're very excited to be able to get back on the stage and play these insane tunes hit the air again the proper way with Flynn, Burkey and Choy. It's going to be very exciting and something not to be missed!"

ATHEIST will take part on Evolution Festival (scheduled for July 16 and 17 in Brescia, Italy) and Wacken Open Air (scheduled for August 3-5 in Schleswig Holstein, Germany). These will be the first in a series of exclusive festival performances announced. Shaefer continues, "We would like to make a great festival run this year and expose as many as possible to the music we lived and died for. Many thanks to the Evolution Festival and Wacken for helping to give many people who never got to see ATHEIST live a chance to see us one last time. This is our chance to make the music we worked so hard to create come alive one last time, and we guarantee that it will not disappoint."

ATHEIST has recently had its wildly-influential catalog (1988's "Piece of Time", 1993's "Elements", and the 1991's legendary "Unquestionable Presence") reissued internationally via Relapse Records. Additionally, "Unquestionable Presence" was recently featured in Decibel magazine as part of its ongoing Hall of Fame feature. The Hall of Fame feature highlights influential and pivotal releases in metal history, and "Unquestionable Presence" joins of ranks of previously profiled classics such as SLAYER's "Reign In Blood", SEPULTURA's "Roots", and AT THE GATES' "Slaughter of the Soul", among others.

To each his own I guess. I love anything acoustic, as long as it sounds good. Not many people can pull of acoustic well. Plus the mellow sh*t I have is great to listen to stoned. There's not many metal albums I can listen to stoned because it's not the same, so I always have to have something slower to enjoy as well.

And as for SYL, their new album is due out in July so I've heard. Even though Alien came out like last year....but whatever.

And the only decent album Lamb of God has is "New American Gospel". Even though Randy's voice is terrible. "As The Palaces Burn" was worse and "Ashes of The Wake" is complete garbage. Once a band goes political, there's no room for them to redeem themselves.

I totally agree with you. The guitar is kinda cool. though. I really don't pay attention to vocals taht much anyway.

My FYE has a metal section, but once I saw Linkin Park in it, I gave up and went to Sam Goody. The Goody thing (lol pun) is that they'll order a CD for you if they don't have it. The bad thing is that could take weeks, so I grab hard to fid albums off Amazon whenever possible.

Try to look for some underground record shops they seem to have a better metal section and if they have a used cd section even better cause you can get some good deals. So avoid the mall and look for the corner record shop call around.

When i first got into black metal i was payin $20 for the cd's from this record shop but it was well worth it cause i didn't feel like waiting a month for it to get here from overseas.now you can find some good labels that sell cheap cd's.You may have to wait a week or two but saving that extra $7 or $8 is worth it to me.

Well, no Kreator or Nuclear Assault, so I bought Arise by Sepultura. Can't decide which song is the best, seeing as how all of them are great, plus the bonus tracks are good too. The Orgasmatron cover is great.

For death metal get Annihilation of the Wicked by Nile. Thats a really good album, and the only death metal album at the moment I can think of that I own. For power metal, check out stuff from Hammerfall, Stratovarius, DragonForce, and Blind Guardian.

I don't know which albums the songs I listened to are from but so far I've heard Jaktens Tid, Trollhammaron, Midnattens Widunder, and Forsvinn Du Som Lyser. I like them all but out of all of them I'm liking Trollhammaron the best.

To me, it depends. If there in this suberban neighborhood to drink the blood of virgins and burn some goats, then it would be very high.

After further analisys with my crack team of underpaied circus midgets, I'v decided, that yes they are very high on the tr00 scale, and even if they lived there, it would be high, because lets face it.

Scyth + Abbath corpse paint = very high.

And a high like that is about as high as "The Shirt"
