At a guess, looks like the spec isn't turned up high enough (about 70 looks alright I think).

 

Either that or the col has no lighting info...but the peds seem ok on it.

Currently we are hard working on the team test packages, getting as much as we want in there, and you know that Gforce will be packing everything , so just hold on, i promise you it will be soon. for more info join IRC.

ok i went to install myriad islands and i went on sa map cleaner and about 1/4 way though it just comes up with a message that says

 

,,,,invalid pointer operation,,,,

 

it is really annoying please help ty

If you have nothing better to post, why waste your time?

 

melon lord: Try deleting gta_int.IMG from the \Models folder and installing MI without using Map Cleaner.

Many thanks to mickarrow for his 'Bourbon Alley' models (bless you). They fit in here very well (with some texture alteration) and help to affirm the feel of the entire lot.

Right now the face count stands at 11.5k (tiny).

There's still a lot of modelling left to do, as always, though I want to try and push to get it ingame.

Expect another update soon.

I see 6 of the 8 topics made by people outside of the main MISA team on the first page of this forum team are locked. I guess you guys aren't so interested in the community aspect of this project any more? The hostile response to my feedback seems to support that rather sad observation.

The FAQ topic says "anyways dotsix is well on its way. don't you worry your little head about it" in a message from almost six months ago. That hardly answers questions like why is it still so incomplete made less than two weeks ago. The person who asked that question was even called a "spammer" by one MISA contributor!

 

So yeah, I think the PR for MISA is an area which could be improved.

all i can say about it now is a nice and good looking layout, just keep up the good work and generic objects will finish it off eventualy.

 

Hope others will get excited about the mod of seeing some screens im missing the publicity of it all now, and sometimes my motivation of getting things done is kinda gone. Now im just hoping the most visual bugs in the mod will be sorted, by me or anyone else who wants to get things ironed out. Currently im really having some respect for Gforce who really has putted as much time as he could into the mod to convert it, bugfix it and eventualy merging it all together.

 

For now i would say to all stop wining about all the things that havent been done and start thinking about the things that are already done.

remember that this is very much an ongoing WIP and there are still a lot of bugs present but they should not cause the game to crash.

 

Installation instructions

1. use a fresh clean install of San Andreas.

2. run the installer and point it to the SA folder you wish to use for MI.

3. open the models folder where you installed MI to and delete gta_int.img.

4. run game.

Bang! Here we go.

 

There's stuff in here that you haven't seen in SA.

There's stuff in here that you've never seen before.

Thanks to Gforce for bashing this all together for a release.

 

Known Issues.

The MI 'flicker' is back in this version.

The lighting and NVC is still WIP.

There are some corrupted (greenish) .TXDs

Some of the LODs are offset...

The list goes on.

If individual lot owners find anything wrong with their lots, please post notice/updates here.

 

This is not the end, just a new beginning.

Right on Gforce, this really is the best step for now,

 

hopefully the public thinks the same and people will get enthousiastic about it, i remember when i joined myriad all i did was just looking at all the detail and always helping out people fixing things, but times have changed i now more like to fill the spots left in myriad and make it a mod worth playing and seeing my own work.

 

Great work for so far Gforce, thats all i can say you know how much we do care.....

 

Now its all up to the next step, bugfixing not just by 1 person but hopefully several people.

 

Im now just a bit out of words, so thats all for now.
