Nice job Snow Racer. 3000 tris and all. It looks good quality. I thnik the wheels need to be just a teeny bit better quality because they don't match with the rest of the car.

 

It sure fits in MI though icon14.gif .

 

EDIT: The suspension feels weird though, like a lowrider.

Seanorris, i like the new engine bay, but you gotta ditch using that carbon texture, it looks terrible at so low a res. find something else, methinks. the brakelights are also floating above the surface a little.

heya all, had a question regarding the MI for SA, has something been worked out to allow u to change ur apearance without modding the CJ model(ie clothes, hair, stuff like that) cuz the plain jane starting model witht he rockstar jacket gets tiresom(not sure does anyone use a mod program outa game to change it or something?)

I use 'Sanny Builder' to hack the 'MAIN.SCM' and change the clothes (take a look at some of my posts).

There's a word and the word is 'beta'.

When the time comes, I'm sure we'll have scripted changing rooms and/or clothes pickup points.

Until then, it's 'Sanny Builder' and a bit of personal fun.

but what does the map.zon file do? with what did you edit it? why does my game crash if I don't use it?

remember the car is for Myriad Islands, and the map zone do the los santos cars appears around illcom, insteand of the police rangers.

 

I love the front rear snow, good car as ussual.

The casino is a good idea, but you have a lot of blank space, also the casino is.. floating.

Too much Primitives, try modeling with extrusions as i explained you last time I was on IRC.

 

Some news ingame of my Gostown Head Quarters, the map is much more advanced in Max, but ingame is slow to do.

A proper interior access via Enex points would make it a good location for adding the various casino games you can play in Las Venturas.

Wow, you're really plowing on with this... I'm impressed.

 

The texture graininess is a problem though...

Personally, I like the graininess. It makes it look a bit more realistic, and less 'pristine'. However, we can't have one island gritty looking and the rest normal... So either you clean up yours (boooo!) or we grit up the rest of the world (yaaay).

 

How are you doing it, exactly?

I think that theres a big plus to work alone...

- theres no wait time for other person on to do something that holds up your project

- better atmosphere... not like on illcom... (catoonish and such)

- better building height for downtown and outside downtown

 

my thought is erm... kinda mind blowing... but I think that we should redo some lots and fix bugs on illcom...

For the moment the size of every texture is 512 pixel.. But if a make a release it'll be in 256px texture size, but as i already said, only a mipmap tool is needed to make these textures grainyless and to keep their level of detail. I don't know if a new version of TXD Workshop is planned with it.
