Bump.

 

Lot: illcom_c3_r1

Description: It's gonna be a little italian hood with a market and a skyscraper.

 

 

Sorry bout it says 'illcom_c2_r9. I wanted to take this lot , but somebody took it (i'm thinking about running over Eclipse with a caddy sly.gif ) so i'm taking this lot. I've just began working on it.

I know this has nothing to do with conversions, but does anyone have links to Buchsi's vehicles? My MI says the Ant while I have the Faggio, and I need the file. Also his boat, the Sabane, and his Hammer patriot.

Cran, those spaces are too narrow to actually fit cars in. You could probably have the row of spaces along the front edge, but not along the back edge as well. Making the bridge as wide as the first building is a good idea but it means losing the entrance block for the roof.

 

Secretly, I'm with aad on this: I think the spaces on the roof are unrealistic and unecessary. I wanted to find some way of letting wizkid keep them but there isn't enough space. There is lots of realistic parking spaces at ground level, so I think the building doesn't need parking on the rooves.

 

Making the main building on storey higher and having offices in it sounds nice. But with so many interiors built without using the proper interior system, MISA is going to lag worse than GTASA. I think it would be best to have the extra storey for offices but don't have an interior for it.

why don't you just make the roof section completely rectangular and extend it forward towards the edge of the lower parking spaces and put the supporting pillars back in, this way the ramp can stay as it is and the parking space on the roof will also be adequate, and get rid of the pointless box thing in the middle of the roof.

 

on a side note, those pics of mine that were posted by locO G show radiosity lighting mixed with the Night Vertex Lighting (NVC) tounge.gif

Fido, this is the Lot Requests topic. You can ask for a lot, but you can't just storm and and say "This bit is mine now"! tounge.gif

 

Cran, I guess you'd just trace the shape using a graphics program which supports layers. I think it should keep the current colour-coding and text because it's a map of lot ownership, not a radar map of what's actually there.

I think, no.

Your max skills are insufficiently developed. I don't see application of modifiers in your model. Study 3dsmax and then request lot.

P.S. I've taken an old computer (3ds max doesn't work) from my friend. But at once after the salary in the end of August I'll buy new middle-end PC!

lord fido: Your project is so unfinished, that there is very hard to say something about that. You could atleast put default gray (I belive you use 3Ds max)material (color) on the buildings. That way they look more as a concept together. No offence, but at the moment it feels like you have placed a bunch of boxes and a sphere on the lot. biggrin.gif

Wizkid, why have you put the pillars in the way of cars driving to spaces on the ground floor? You could put the pillars on the edge of grass spaces, out of people's way. Also, it looks like you've stretched the blue glass of the main building right across the tunnel people use to park at ground level.

 

There doesn't seem to be much support for that big concrete overhang. I'd suggest adding a concrete beam between each pillar, and from each pillar to the main building. Look at the car parks in Las Venturas for ideas about this.

 

How do people get to the carpark from nearby roads?

 

Apart from these details, this new design is looking very good. smile.gif

I think once the Nothern islands are finished, we could export a SVG map directly from Max. It could include all the necessary information, and would be easily editable (since it's a text file). And it could be interactive, i.e. provide links to the release topic of certain lots. We would also be able to automatically generate it from a lot database in the future.

What structures does Myriad still lack? Or need for that matter... I'll do something if I know what it is I can do at this point.

A project as complicated as the interior of a plush mansion isn't something you can just knock up casually, BA. You need to research how real mansions are, look around the VC mansion in a map editor. You need to make sketches and brainstorm the features and rooms it will have.

 

Without some serious design work and really thinking it through, it will end up being very crappy and amateur. You can tell which parts of MIVC have been designed and built carefully when you're playing on them; their quality really stands out.
