I'm a real object.DAT 'noob'. If I try to make them dynamic, all they do is fall through the floor!

I've tried everything I know, but hey...

 

It's still early days.

If I find out anything, I'll let you all know.

PS: All hats off for Mickarrow for getting a handle on the 'water.DAT' file.

His lots are worth the wait and worth their weight in gold! Trust me (he won't release until it's all 'right', and all the better for it).

I believe they will need a colision model if they are dynamic, and by dynamic, you mean being able to move around and all, right? If there is no colision, they'll just fall through the floor!

Anyways , I think that Odies berlin lot needs peds inside the tower, the garden and the bet shop. I think the Cop station should have cops and the fire station firemen (never implemented ever on a game) . I hope somebody adds Myriad International Airport.

When I play, all of my sounds are if they are in a big closed building, it's all echoy and loud. I have no idea what to do.

I dont like the lighting, it's too...ghetto.

 

Perhaps once thats fixed, and a new player model introduced, I might sway towards SA. (I have MI on my SA, but it's all laggy, less fun IMO). Perhaps... can you remove the heat waves? They are incredibly unrealistic.

@ Loco G really amazing how it all looks, and for those objects that you want to make dynamic just make them as a normal object and put it ingame only thing you then need to do is putting them into the object dat by

 

 

yourmodelname  50000.0,	50000.0,	0.99,  0.05,  50.0,  9999.0, 1.0,    200,	0,	0,  0,	0,	0.0, 0.0, 0.0,  none  	5000.0, 0.01,  0.01,  0.01,  0.07,	1,	0

 

 

and the colfile you need to assign the right material in it to work default colfile wont work for most of dynamic objects. i have been working on some ride trough hedges and they seem to work nicely hopefully i can get that effect that leaves will fall of when u ride trough them. happy.gif

If that is low detailed them im the pope and i not mean that it has a lot of details i more mean the amount of polygons and vertexes it will have by the looks of it.

 

 

Just good luck on finishing it, and may finish of my new building with interior today and add some cool stuff in it.

EDIT: I also see now that my map and minimap seem to be completely wrong, and the cars might follow the path of that. I'm going to do a complete reinstall.

 

EDIT AGAIN: I've identified the problem, and it's assured that the map itself hasn't been replaced. I see the level and roads, all the terrain are as they should be, but the map and the paths that the vehicles take are still that of an unmodded San Andreas. Why don't these files correctly overwrite?

The Reason the Car Paths are still there is because Steve-M is still working on them. The Reason why the Mini-Map is the same is because they are still working on it.

Oh btw you can get rid of those car paths by using the relevent thingy in this topic here and progress on the paths can be seen in this topic here!

 

I say there's no need for MCC too, just have a few led-bys, like nearly every other sub forum.

This happened to me sometimes whilst playing SA.

The main cause seemed to be CJ answering the phone whist under the canopy of the garage in San Fiero

I just put it down to not having the worlds greatest sound card.

Wizkid4590, that looks a lot better now.

 

However, I think the long ramp might be a bit too wide; there's not enough space for parking on the main building. Also, the bridge between the two buildings looks a bit narrow.

 

There's a lot more space for the ground level spaces now, which is good. The texturing is excellent, too. smile.gif

Im still thinking when i look at your lot wizkid are those parking spots on the roof needed for the final design, i should just change the ramp into a staircase and add some rails on the side with a alpha texture, and then just add some details on the roof like fans, airco, machines etc.

 

and since its a taxi central, why not remove the whole parking idea on the roof and make it one floor higher and add some small office bit, with some tables, computers etc just a small interior on top instead of those not realistic parking spots.

 

 

Good luck anyway i hope i can finish of my lot soon having some probs with some breakable glass and textures.

Yo. I'm back for more. Still havent got the italian textures for my little italy lot.

 

Some pics for ya , so you don't die waiting. cool.gif I've started smoothing the 2 closest buildings and i'm adding canopys , doors, windows , everything so it recreates Italy in just one street.

Remember the GTA3/LCS Chinatown fish market , that had a ped road that went inside Chinatown? thats what im making (but mine is italian).

 

I'm just starting so don't hope much of it yet.
