You know you could just drag and drop textures from a folder (or where ever) onto your model and never even use the material editer.

I dont know if theres any drawbacks to this but it seems to work ok...

Hi, me and alexg would like to have the lot left to locO G's lot. It is VERY IMPORTANT!!! that we get this lot because locO G is making a gheeto and me a little mexico/policestation/FedEx/Park (yes those 3). This lot is exactly square. I need a square lot to divide it in 4 to have a street with Park , other with cop station, other with houses and other with the FedEx.

anywho, I wouldn't mind having a lot of my own to play with to get me started, if I like it I will then think about helping out where I can. I can see this being a little easier than modelling my usual cars in a somewhat polywhore fashion. I still have to discover the gripes of map modding GTA, but we'll see how it goes.

 

Not sure what lots are available if any, but I am using this topic to express my interest, thankyou.

Update: TGR is losing his lot next to JasonB's bridge, I see no progress on it at all in like, a year. That one is now up for grabs.

 

The following lots are being removed within the next few days unless proof of progress is shown (Maybe apart from AleXXX as he can't access GTAF)

TRN4L lot next to JasonB's complex illcom_c4_r3

Is there a DevKit i need to get hold of? Thats the first point of call as well as studying what everyone else is doing. But I have a wild imagination, I'm sure I can do something different and fun.

It's in .max format, so that should be fine! The refence number of your lot is illcom_c1_r3. The general theme for lots around there is commerical buildings, but don't be afriad to do something like factories or even a luxiourious apartment skyscraper!

 

As I mentioned before, talk to locO G when you want to get it ingame if you have troubles.

Any ideas on what could be added to the foreground of the lot?... or should it be left blank, though its a fair amount of space to be left.

I think having it as a little green site would be nice. A park for the people living in the apartments with a seating area for people to eat fast food outdoors could work.

 

You could have some climbing frames matched up with the GTASA jumping and climbing animations. An outdoor public swimming pool could fill up some space and show off some more GTASA animations.

 

Also, maybe a small "youth centre" building which had a GTASA pool table inside? Basically, a recreation area.

Hmm well i've decided i'd like to get involved with this project. I've been following it for a few months and being wanting to get involved and now my exams are nearly over (one more on the 28th) I have got time to put into it.

 

I'm not realy sure where i'd like a lot so if someone can point something out to me i'd appreciate it .

c9_r6? Ideally, build apartments on that. Textures, size etc is up to you, just make it look good, and take up the lot.

There is one. It's called 'Centralized Download Centre.'

 

Most of the things listed are VC though, but there's also the blank land for SA. GForce is constantly updating an all-in-one installer, but yeah, maybe the seperate SA lots could be added to the CDC too...

 

 

@ Jost_Vice: That office is coming along nicely. Dunno about the building-in-building approach for the stores though. But I see where you're going with this. Keep it up .

Is there gonna be a mission script like in the GTA's? Starting Grand Tani missions. After you do the mission pack and kill many ppl you escape in a boat (driven by AI) and get to illcom and so. Is there gonna be a mission pack like this one?

I understand what you mean, but in a long topic, who could find the 'download' posts amongst all the replies.

I mean, this post is off topic, but where else do I post?

 

So we ban all replies (as if we could). Where do they go? We need feedback from the wider community.

Sometimes other people notice things which one may have overlooked.

 

If we're going to have a 'Centralized Download Centre', it should be properly managed on a regular basis.

Currently, it's old, out of date MI-VC and many of the links are now dead.

 

If we want to sort this out, I suggest posting all relies here...
