Thats exactly what I was meaning, I think they look alike mainly because of the squared corner and not the yellow colour.

@Caponester? You had a look at the interior in wireframe just to make sure? He was a good modeller and wouldn't put tons of polys in if he knew it wasn't going to run well. Whats the Polycount of Myriad Motorcycles by the way? The sign on it looks high poly.

As part of the Myriad IOslands team im sure Steve is more than willing for his tool to be included in the package. Also he always says its fine to host his tools/tuts etc on my site so im sure this is fine with him also.

 

Gforce has been helping me with fixing some buildings also, so hopefully a couple of problems will be sorted and thanks for everyone who helped test the new base of the 0.2 release.

The garage on CPblock has a reeaallly close draw distance, so it shouldn't load if your at Odies lot. If you drive at the garage door really fast you can see what I mean, it usally doesn't pop up untill you just past the rear of the dealership.

My Myriad install is a little bit unstable, would be cool if someone could test this speedo. Btw I didn't noticed problems with the weather when using the Installer of GT-1.

This is no final release, so please don't complain much about possible bugs.

As you will see, all needed textures are inside the speedo.txd. Feel free to change them, but there are some limitations.

 

Needles have to be same size and position, just like the digitmap. For the speedo the display itself has to keep where it is, but you can change the look around it. Make it square, add some edges.. what you want. You have to compress the textures, uncompressed aren't supported yet.

Crashes when I get into a car.

Hm... I tested it with your installer. For some cars it crashes, for some not. And for some the rpm behaves strange. I'll have a look at it again as soon as I can. Sorry.

I set Dummys to 1000, Buildings to 500 and Streaming Memory to 90. I played 1 hour without crashing.

There are some interiors that have huge windows. It is very dumb to make a coded interior for Myriad Motor and X wear. If you look through the windows, you see underworld.

the interiors for skyline have draw distances of less than 100 so they will not be causing the crashing problems, and yes the sign on my showroom is high poly thats why it wasn't included in this release, there is a new version but i'm not releasing it yet, you guy's really are clutching at straws with your interior's causing crashes theory, most of them have low draw distances set in the ide lines anyway, its about time you took a long good look at whether or not the ide and ipl lines are being loaded numerically or are they all over the place, you also might want to see if your colfile's are being loaded in the same sequence as the models are defined in the ide lines, but then again you already know that most of the ide lines and ipl lines are a total mess and colfiles are all over the place, you probably also noticed the mess in your img file with none of the offsets sitting properly anywhere inside the main img, these are the reasons why myriad crashes and making it all work is a lot more work than using a simple installer, Rockstar constructed Vice City in a particular way that makes it all work without VC limit adjuster and with more models than myriad, and all of you have chosen to ignore the way that they put it together, it's no wonder your all moaning that myriad crashes

misspelled it several times, this word makes my tongue break..

i sed i can wait for SA for the albatros so thats no big deal atm, nor is the incura, i was ment to be doing the gangcar version until mista_G told me to stop and that he will make it...

Gforce, the (non)interiors may have a low draw distance, but the engine still pre-fetches things which it expects to render soon. Otherwise, yea, I agree we have a definite problem with the img's order. Another crucial thing VC had which we're lacking is proper occlusion culling boxes. If one were to delete them in VC, one would probably experience similar (if not worse) crashing problems.

 

In any case, changing the Skyline and police station interiors to proper interiors would be a good idea. Not only do they have lot's of polys and textures to stream, but they could both do with more controlled lighting.

Is there a list that states what Myriad needs? Like more gas stations, a public school, or what not? I would like to create a building, but I don't know what is left to build. Can someone help me out?

Nothing against you Monitor but you said you wanted to hold a few cars spaces around Myriad yet 1 week ago your signature read the death of Monitor57, I can hold car spaces if you contact me about it, but when you say you left the GTA Community or whatever you cannot expect places to be held if they were when you come back.

 

This goes to anyone, if they want a car space holding just PM me with the car name (e.g. Admiral) and the type of vehicle you are going to model to replace it with.

BTW, the car's name isn't Maruti. Maruti is the name of the company that Suzuki merged with. The car doesn't have a real name, it's called the Maruti-Suzuki 800. Maruti is an indian company, and they don't have any cars of their own.
