I've got a question. Well, I haven't visited this forum for months and because of that I've lost track of Illspirit's new big island project. Could anybody tell me what happened to it because I remember it was going pretty well last time I saw it's progress. Edited by _Mike_

The island is still wip like the mod he did show some more screenshots of the island and it looks damn good so far. He posted them in the PPT a few pages back probably.

 

There is no re;lease dat of it at all yet, but I think its still going and he is still working on it for sure, when he has the time.

 

Thanks for asking in the correct place why cant everyone do that.

Now here´s another question: How do I install the Myriad radar? I can´t replace the old one whit ViceTXD.

Looks great so far illspirit, no looks amazing. Steve M and the coding junkies, sounds so nice. Glad to see you added the most annoying or one of the most annoying things eva, the badger.

Sorry about that I got it mixed up between TXD Builder which Steve made I use TXD Workshop which Delfi made. Looks around for Delfi's site or search for the program, ill have a quick look now but cant find the link yet.

funnily enough it was ment to be the 2004 Kuruma wink.gif but it was modeled from a Volvo, so thats y its called a Vulva biggrin.gif

Thanks! It´s a very good program, but I can´t save! When I tried to save an error message appeared:

"The program tried to examine invalid data.

 

This means that there's either no information at that location, or the information is off-limits to the program.

Not at the end of the game, just at the end of my sub mission set.

 

I tested the handling, and it feels great. The car feels real now, but handles just as well.

maybe it's just me, or maybe illspirit is from a different country or something, but the demensions on the license plate look weird... myriad islands is supposed to be american... right? confused.gif

 

drop the hight 10 pixels or make it wider, then it'll look fine smile.gif

nice car BTW

 

when is anybody going to make an SUV or something like that, I see them all the time

To me it looks like a box with textures on it, add alot more detail either through textures or modeling because it doesnt look very good atm. Its just a box, with a white sign on it that doesnt look very good either, make it stand out make it look ermm better.

It has a inside, and that is not a box, but I can't make no screens of that, but the windows are ugly, its only a beta, the next version I will make it scratch and the windows the real windows!

Dam never saw this topic before. Looks quite good so far Delfi but there are a few things I nticed, all the cars so far bar I think 1 maybe 2 have VC interiors, they are VC textured (they have that dirty mucky texture on them, this is too clean) and the light textures are VC ones are have been made to look similar to them.

But the model looks quite clean so far, whats the polycount?

 

Keep on topic also this is sicussion of the car nothing else.

Opius is correct, im also on 56k and its not a problem if you d/l alot of cars you will notice that the cars people make in the mod showroom are all over 1mb or nearly all over that uto around 3mb so these are very small. I can keep up to date with everything here, there is really no reason to complain. The real fun will begin when the installer comes out. cryani.gif

But that's the thing, there's nothing obviously wrong with either the models or the TXDs for the powerplant, yet slows my 2.5Ghz CPU and Radeon 9600XT down to about 5FPS. It's really strange. I'd almost start looking at something with the game engine.

 

But, do tell us, JasonB. Are there any abnormally long and skinny polygons in the DFFs for the powerplant? I can remember GoDK mentioning that they can really screw up the engine.
