Next, since Lazio is planning on making a soccer stadium for the residential island up north, how about some skinheads/football-hooligans?

I think that this is a great idea, football hooligans.

 

And how about a GTA2 throwback Zaibatsu-ish corporate gang? they could ride around in expensive black sports cars, wearing nice suits, and carrrying MP5's. For missions you could help them with corporate hostile takeovers, aquiring property, and some other almost Donald Love-ish type stuff.

That would be great also, I think that this should be a must, I personally would love to see the Zaibatsu gang back in Myriad or GTA. The zaibatsu have been one of the best gangs imo for the GTA series. Bring them back.

How about a gang of street racers? Assing 2-3 cars to the gang, and allow them to be multicolored. They could own a garage like Joey's in GTA3.

The cars so far that you have made so far DieselGT are great. Also Sadistic the Shelden Boa is also great, its a bit wide at the back imo, but I can live with it. Great work guys.

 

@ DieselGT, I PM'd you a long time ago about the Crown Vic and the interior problem. Will there be an updated version or not. Can't wait for the next pack of cars to come out.

oh, shut up you. This is a topic about a gta mod... nobody cares what social group you classify yourself as.

 

But you do make a good point, putting the goth gang thing in the sewers would be really strange.... just throw them somewhere in the residential area. maybe you could have a ninja turtle gang for the sewers, lol

 

Now I, for one, would love to see somebody try and recreate one of the wacky gta2 gangs like the loonies, the scientists, or hare krishna

I think the new bridge is just a bit higher then used to be. All someone has to do is raise the Z-coordinates of the paths, a little.

Only instead of them being mostly useless as they were in VC, we could have them riding all over town fighting with other gangs. Hmmm, speaking of bikers, a mission where you had to ride up in a bike convoy/parade and have a rolling shootout with the leader would be rather interesting...

 

@ What?!??! - Yea, I suppose you're right. Some sort of mafia is a prerequisite for any sort of crime world. Dunno how well we could intertwine the gangs though, unless Barton can find a way to ressurect the Respect-O-Meter™ from GTA2.

@ Teancum - Standard AI gangs can only use one car AFAIK. But maybe a few scripted races against a psuedo gang could be arranged.

 

@ Star_Enterprise - Sheesh, calm down man, I'm what most might consider 'punk' too. The concept is based mainly on some of the punk gangs in NYC and San Fran- or, more specificly, the squatter punk gangs in the Bay Area which brought us such bands as Filth or, hell, even Rancid before they were big sellouts.

 

@ Intake Chibi - Yea, loonies and scientists would be fun... Now where did you get those stars from? The logs don't even show you getting them, and technically you shouldn't be able to post now with them. Weird. (edit- now he's busted?(*editedit- oh, I see now. Hi Chibi.))

If we can't use the name it does'nt matter but a gang based on the Zaibatsu should be made, a rich gang businessmen like.

Heeey, I've been waiting for a thread like this! Since we have all these mafia and corporate gangs, how about we get down n dirty, and have a caribbean themed gang? Me being from the caribbean, I know what it's like to be poor, and what it's like to live amongst little gangs etc. I could think of lots of locales, secret places and what this area will look like overall.

 

How about we base the gang members on a fictitional carribean country/countries. They can be located in a poor, run down, undeveloped part of one of the hilly islands, where the locals dont give a damn about the rigors of life, they just want to chill out and take it easy. The gang could be dealing in drugs, as well as the illegal immigrant trade. There can be reggae music blasting from people's property as u drive down the unpaved roads.

 

Here's a story/mission idea:

 

You get mixed up in the whole gang by mistake. You're doing an errand for someone else at night, and have to pickup smoeone in the area. When u arrive at the address, you have to park the car, and walk through a makeshift alley, complete with galvanized fences, and a dirt path, passing all sorts of shady characters as u go by. You have no idea where your contact is, so while wandering around, someone asks u to stop, and calls u over to his hammock under a tree. You walk over to him, and he asks u if u have any weed on u. U say no, but u do know where to find some weed. You say you'll tell him, IF he has any usefull information on where your contact could be. He says that your contact left a while ago(lying, just so he can get the weed).

 

You ponder on why your contact would leave u before u arrive, but u tell the guy you'll get his weed anyway. So u hurry out of the area, get the weed, and when u return and give it to him, he invites you to a little pary in what's known as "Dee cow pen" or 'The cow pen' in normal english. The Cow Pen is a secret area. To get there, you have to go all the way to the depths of the alley, walk downhill on the side of a huge drain, which is used to carry rainwater downhill and into the sea. Once u walk along this, u arrive at a dirt yard, with a shack in it. This place used to be a cowpen, but now it's been turned into an illegal gambling place, where people lose their money....and there body parts. You walk into the shack, go down the storm cellar hatch, and find yourself in a smokey environment, lit by bulbs hanging from the ceiling. You're surrounded by people smoking, chillin, drinkin, etc. But they're not there just for fun, they're there to have a gang meeting, and to plan their next job...

 

 

 

Yes people, all this is inspired by real life experiences. I can come up with a lot of ideas for this if this becomes an official gang. What do u guys think?

The Punk gang sounds great and having em reside in the sewers is something different from the typical gta gang that take up a small area of the city on street level.

 

I like the rioting footballers idea and its not that british, here in Australia there are often rioting football(not english soccer AFL) fans that go on a rampage when their team looses.

 

The Mafia really need to have a presence in Myriad, if only but a small part and maybe we could use one of the mafia based gangs here on the forums like CFM, AMF, LFM etc. seeing as this is a mod being made on gtaforums.com.

 

@d_C_d- I have to say that is one hell of an idea, I can just imagine it now and the hilly part of Myriad would be a perfect place.
