I will try again with the editor, I can't remember what its called. It was when I changed the Police Car name to Crown Vic it either did'nt show up ingame or it crashed.

But i can make an radio station but's it's illegal (i have mp3 to so that's not the problem) If i make one it's totally dutch (english: to baaaddd) so if you want an dutch radio station in your mod (there are some dutch players and modders) i want to make one for you whit a Length about 10/20 minutes

Nice job ChickenPlucker! I jsut installed the lot, and everthing looks great. The little access ramp bit on the front of the brick office tower makes for some good bike tricks as well.

 

The only real problem I had with the lot was my framerate got a little chuggy behind the buildings arouund all the props. I dunno if it's just too many objects in too close a proximity to Odie's lots or what. If noone else is having problems, then, erm, it's not a problem. But if they are, maybe a slight decrease in the generic objects might be in order? Exellent work in any case.

 

 

@ Sillyhed2k - I take it the white wastebin is the problem there? Hmmm, perhaps you somehow deleted the txd for it while getting rid of the old city? Search your gta3.img and make sure you have a metal.txd in there.

Sounds great DieselGT! I made that island and this dealership just for a scout . I only have yahoo instant messenger though, is there another way I could reach you? I think I might have made a copy of that wiremesh on a CD, but I can't find it. I'll keep looking though. Thanks a ton for offering to add this on your list .

 

Thanks for pointing out the chunky frame rates Illspirit, when I get this updated with cullzones I'll delete of a few of those pallets and lower the view distance on the garages inside. Maybe that will smooth things out.

sure radio stations aren't the biggest thing to be worrying about, but with the modular concept of this project, it's only right to have the option to change the 80's stations to some fresh underground music... as barton said a while back, if you don't like the station, don't download it...

 

I've decided to upload my radio station even though I don't know where to get a nocd crack to make it work... I'll post as soon as I successfully upload a 24 MB file to a good host

Have you installed the radar properly? That maybe the cause. It looks like its a straight replace job, eg 40-60 but its not, some eg 45, 46, 55 I'm not saying these are the filenames, just an axample. Might not be replaced, you deleate 40-60 and only replace some of them, it isn't gonna work.

Erm, I know we had a topic related to gangs around here somewhere, but I was just too lazy to go look for it. Didn't really get anywhere in it IIRC, so, yea, here we are....

 

As posted in the PPT, Steve M and I are working on a gangsta punk rock girl ped, which I'd like to see part of a gang. Perhaps as a punk gang who's base is in the sewer somewhere. Then, for the gang's basic objective/purpose, I'm thinking typical anarcist-ish stuff like 'fighting the power' (in other words, police), random arson/bombing of things, starting riots (bar brawl in the Skyline?), and some good ol' fashioned vandalism. This sound good or not?

 

Next, since Lazio is planning on making a soccer stadium for the residential island up north, how about some skinheads/football-hooligans? Or would that be too British? I think it would be quite fun, and I'm Amerikan. Naturally, being football hooligans and all, missions could revolve around riots (again, sorry, feeling anti-social today- but hey, everyone likes riots) and such. Maybe blowing up a visiting team's bus and stealing beer trucks. Might also make a good nemesis for the punk gang...

 

And how about a GTA2 throwback Zaibatsu-ish corporate gang? they could ride around in expensive black sports cars, wearing nice suits, and carrrying MP5's. For missions you could help them with corporate hostile takeovers, aquiring property, and some other almost Donald Love-ish type stuff.

This is an good plan and no it is not to british here in holland we have hooligans to they destroy everything !

I as well... I would also like to see the Mafia come back. I know its been done to death but in my opinion you just gotta have the mob.

 

But not like Vice City I mean like a real family, like the Leone's in GTA3

 

Maybe instead of you working for every single gang, what if you work for one gang and you have to help your allies and keep your enimeis in check?

 

You work for the Mafia, you are part of a crew. You make deals with the Zaibatsu to help the Family work its way into lagitemate buisness. You have to keep the Football hooligans in check. They start in roiting going after the Beer trucks? Well the Family you work for owns the trucks, owns the company. Its one of their fronts. So you gotta figure a way to get the beer back and beat some payment for the trucks out of the hooligans.

 

I mean this is all stuff off the top of my head, but I really think you could (or hell I could for that matter) develop a great story based on working all the other gangs to benifit one Family. That way you have more of a cause, and you are not this whore offering your services to the highest bidder.
