Well, RK and I have 4-5 lots to release, but we can't release them yet. The lighting is f*cked on the lots, and were going to need someone to do the lighting for us. ( cause we don't have the right version of 3dsm, or somethin, thats what my bro tells me)

You must to make it by yourself

that's a problem....I can't play music and can't read music-notes...

 

Go to a music school and learn it or you have to mix songs, but you don't have permission from the an artist.

Use the program ACID. Its easy to use, and loops makes it easier.

The buildings are nothing to special, they're like office buildings and such. But they look nice. No interiors though.

 

I'm thinking that I'll package them up in a week or so, because they still need minor tweaking.

We don't wanna release a beta. We want to finish up the buildings completely before we release. I'll get some screenies up tody though.

 

To Ekamentus- Those textures are terrible.

The banner is terrible, but the other ones not, because the banner is terrible i don't understand PhotoShop

The banner sucks because you stretched it out over that side of the model.

 

The other textures suck because they dont match with each other, and they just don't apply to real life buildings in any way.

 

What building has blue bricks for a " roof" and some rusty ass looking pilars?

@Ekamentus - dont make from cubes or cylinders...try model from scrach and detailed textures

I thought it would be a good idea to have a topic to post bugs and other things that you find in MI.

 

Such as...

 

in Lazios Park, on the hot dog, theres a missing texture. and the hot dog has way to many polys.

 

You can see the police uniform through illy's police stations wall ( from outside in the front)

You should get a brand new texture. Throw that one in the recycle bin. If you're making a building, you probably want a CONCRETE texture. Not Rust.

There is also a small private airport that someone is making.

That would be me, and yes some tourists may enter via it, providing they have a private plane. And I'll also have some form of small dock for the skimmer and a boat. So they can enter via that.

 

No screenies as of yet, I'm still trying to work out as to how to get the Skimmer or Dodo into 3DSMax for scale. If anyone knows a way, or has the models in 3DSMax form. Give me a holla or post in here.

Small update:Fed 25

Lowered col file poly count by 500

Deleted alot of the generic stuff (should help stop game chugging)

Lowered the garage inside drawdistance.

 

All right, heres my first lot. It has a International Harvvestor dealer and a medium sized generic commercial building with attached garage. The garage and dealership have intioruirs. This lot needs no col editing to get it in game, just add the 3lines to your dat file and the dffs/txd to img and your ready to rock!

Heres a compare picture of what 2dfx lighting will due to fight that evil zmodeler dark models. Twin V8 powered moped, feel the road rash lol.

Seperate windows I was thinking. I hate the look of all glass. And you may have noticed on the side like a roof thingy, a cover thats going over the drive through thru.

Are we gonna do any voice acting? I'm up for that, and I have Goldwave, which allows me to mod my voice hi/low, thick/thin, etc. so I could probably do more than one character. Though if I did that, I'd like to do smaller parts.

I am not sure if this would be fitting to post here but its not a help problem but a strange little quirck I experience. When the game finishes loading and I start in front of odie's skyline, if I turn around or look behind the game will crash but if I start running straight ahead and into the illco buildings carpark its fine and I can then drive anywhere in myriad without any crashes or problems. Nothing happens with a blank install of Myriad but as soon as I install any lots I get this strange problem. It doesn't really effect playing the game but it is annoying sometimes. If it sounds more like this should have been posted in the help topic I am sorry as I am not certain what this would come under.
