Dup
I have a Logitech Internet Keyboard just like in the pic. When playing games the bastard sometimes refuses such key presses (Plus that annoying beep from the computer): Arrow Down + Arrow Left, Arrow Down + Arrow Up + Arrow Left, CTRL + Arrow Up + Arrow Left. When the right arrow key is pressed instead of the left one, everything is fine. So basicly any combo of [KEY]+Arrow-Left doesn't work? Is this in games only or any where? Also if it is in games only; is it all games or select game(s)? I know in GTAVC I can't press 3 keys (anyway where and any 3) at once on my plain keyboard. But in something like BF42 or BFV I can hold W for gas while using the number-pad keys for my flight control, or do things like running forward and straff left or right and jump or reload if need be. Hmm, well it seems anywhere,'it just refuses to work with 2 random keys + left arrow. Guess not, only combinations of the arrow keys + the damned left one and a combo of CTRL+ Left arrow+ key. It's really annoying since I'm so used to my controls and don't really feel like re-assigning them. But is this with ALL programs or just a select game(s)? In every application known to man. I have just developed the same problem and with my mouse I get severe mouse lag in Battlefield 2. Any ideas?

SIP YEK NOD
go to run in the start menu, and type in "msconfig" go to start-up, and uncheck the sh*t you dont want running(i tunes, msn, panda). then go to services and sort by manufacturer. check anything under the panda company or "unkown" that has to do with the panda program. click ok, and restart. Fozzy Fozborne
Thanks a TON Sip, I now have 54 more MB's of RAM (panda sucks the life out of your computer). But, every time I un-check the box for msmsgs, and restart my computer, it re-checks itself. memento27oasis
whenever I try to download videos off firefox my internet freezes. example, I'll try to download or watch a video off ign.com to see if such and such games are good, so I click where I want to save it to, and what to call it, then I click save, then I can hear my harddrive or something in the pc grinding or spinning and then firefox freezes. How can I fix this? It's a brand new version of firefox too.

memento27oasis
new q: whenever I put a pic on photobucket.com they re-size it so it's really small, how do I get the real pic in there? also, my laptop is running at 145 degrees farenheit, and feels really hot. Duders
I recently finished building my new Athlon 64 computer. I was wondering if I could overclock it. I hear the Winchester platform has great overclocking potential with a stock Heatsink. I was thinking about overclocking it to 2 GHZ or if possible a 3200+. If I can then how do I overclock it? I googled it up about it and I have a good general idea of how to overclock it but I was wondering how much I can overclock it with my specific hardware. Also that if you going to OC then it's best to get a better heatsink&fan to replace the stock unit. If you look on the ASUS mobo CD there might be some software on there that can help you OC. From what I see on ASUS' site for the A8N-E, it does have OCing features: AI NOS™(Non-delay Overclocking System)AI Overclocking (intelligent CPU frequency tuner) ASUS PEG Link Precision Tweaker: - vDIMM: 9-step DRAM voltage control - vCore: Adjustable CPU voltage at 0.0125 increment - SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection): allowing FSB tuning from 200MHz up to 400MHz at 1MHz increment - PCIe Frequency: allowing PCIe frequency from 100MHz up to 200MHz at 1MHz increment Fixed PCIe/PCI/SATA frequencies. ASUS C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall) Lastly, don't rush the OCing. Take up in baby steps and run some stress test with each step up. Also keep in mind that OCing the chip will cause it to fail a lot sooner than it should.
PSXtreme
Okay, I'm getting a graphics card for this piece of sh*t computer, but unfortunally my computer doesn't have an AGP or PCI-E slot. So I'm stuck with getting an old PCI card. I've been looking at newegg, and it seems like the two best cards I could find are the nVidia GeForce FX5500 and the ATi Radeon 9250. Based on the comparison on NewEgg, it looks like the FX5500 is alot better than the Radeon 9250, but I was just wondering what you guys think is better, or if there is a better one that I missed. Thanks. Edited July 2, 2005 by PSXtreme

Thanks. My friend has the FX5500 and it runs Half Life 2 at medium settings and good framerate. It's a cheap card compared to everything else out there, but it gets the job done. There is slowdown I noticed when he was playing Warcraft 3, when there were like 30 units onscreen at once. Other than that, it's good. If you plan on getting a new/better pc within a years time, the 5500 will hold you down long enough until then. But if you expect to use this gpu for years to come, then you're sh*t out of luck, because either graphics card you posted will look like Oprah Winfrey down the road. Dalpura
Having a bit of a problem with DC++. I always had it set on active mode in connection settings, and for some reason that's decided not to work for some reason now, so I'm stuck using passive mode. Bad thing is, passive mode doesn't seem to connect to some users (other users using passive mode also?). Anyway, my question is, how can I get this to work again? I've been using ZoneAlarm as my firewall since forever, so nothing's changed there. I've asked a couple of people about this, and they tell me I have to open a port and set it in the active connection settings. But I don't believe I can do that with ZoneAlarm (free version by the way). So how would I go about fixing that?
