flamebroiledchicken Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 (edited) Hi everyone, this is my first post, and unfortunately, I have a bit of a problem: I accidentally deleted a few .txd files from the gta3.img file for Vice City. The files I deleted were the following: radar10.txd radar11.txd radar19.txd radar20.txd radar26.txd radar33.txd radar34.txd radar35.txd radar49.txd radar00.txd If anyone could use their IMG-Tool (made by Spooky) and extract these files and send them to me at [email protected], I would REALLY appreciate it, because right now, my game won't load. And I just found my 100th hidden package and final rampage about a half hour ago, too. Once again, these 9 files are located in the Gta3.img file, which can be opened using Spooky's IMG-Tool. From there, just extract them to your hard drive and please send them to me. If this is not possible (and ONLY if it's not possible) could someone tell me how I can preserve my current save-game, in case I have to reinstall my game. I know it sounds like I'm asking for a lot, but it only really takes 5 minutes, so please, help a fellow gamer out. Thanks a bunch. Will the save game get uninstalled if I uninstall Vice City? I guess I could always e-mail the save game file to myself to keep it safe. But that is my last resort. Hopefully someone here will be kind enough to send me the files I need. All 10 of the .txd files I need are only 10KB, so they are not too big to send. Otherwise, I'll have to wait a week before I can play VC again, because my installation CD is with my friend, and I'm not seeing him until next weekend because he lives a half hour away from me. Here's a step by step on how to do this: 1. Open Spooky's IMG-Tool 2. Go to File->Open and open the file gta3.img, it is located in Vice City\models 3. The radar files I need are the first ones, right up top. Select the 10 I asked for, using Ctrl-click to select more than one at a time. 4. Go to Command->Extract, and extract them to your desktop or something 5. E-mail them to me at [email protected], some mail servers only allow 3 attached files at a time, so you might have to send 4 emails It's very easy and only takes about 5 minutes.
