What about RVD? 2 years ago he was about the most over guy in the company, but the creative team buried him.

 

Someone from another board said he met him at a comic convention, and he is resentful of HHH, but from what I've observed, the beginning of the end for him was his mini-feud with Lesnar, when he got squashed in the KOTR finals, and then Brock throwing him around like a ragdoll week after week, killing his credibility while he was still the IC champion.

 

I don't believe either Lesnar or HHH made a point to say, "Let's make sure RVD is never a main eventer", but more likely Vince & Co. said, "RVD is not a steroid-infested monster, and he doesn't scream and foam at the mouth like Howard Dean during his promos, so he doesn't fit our definition of a top performer."

He was over but he was by no means the most over guy in the company....he was for years in ECW....but the WWE/F is big man...its hard to be the most over person in the company with people like HHH/Rock/Austin/Taker/Angle yadda yadda....too many big names for a guy like RVD.

 

BUT...i do agree that yes he definatly deserves a title reign, and with the newest champs he has a much better chance, this lottery is basically do or die for him....get him out of this joke tag title reign, and give this man some new opponents.

 

I, personally, have wanted to see him go heel since the day he sorta started to fall off, probably against his will.

 

But about the HHH/Lesnar stuff....meh, i could say i met him too, apparently when he comes by here on tours he stops at a weed cafe in vancouver called blunt brothers...but yeah i was never there so who knows..

 

You cant resent someone for not dropping the title to you on a scripted tv show, when someone else is the person whom decided....to me this just sorta stems back to the HHH hating thing, and who really knows what the hell goes on back there....he may have had absolutaly nothing to do with it.

 

 

 

Great Wrestler though, i think if RVD went heel, it would give his lacking mic skill a healthy boost of new material....that plus his great in ring ability...pure silk.

RVD.. a lot of in-ring talent, but a little sh*t on the mic. Maybe being a heel would help that. Who knows. Bottom line is, Booker and RVD should be main eventers.

Ya, thanks matt for all your help. I made the topic and its now in gaming chat. Everyone needs to check it daily starting Wednesday for updates and matches. Hell, maybe I'll even include house shows just to fill in the space between RAW and Smackdown!

 

Matt, I gotta disagree with you though. Booker T shouldnt be a main eventer, RVD, yes. Booker T, no. He's got his run in WCW, hes talented but I just despise him. He should stay in the IC division. Maybe give him one last month long World Title run before he retires like they did with micheals.

Yeah, but I know Booker can do it. Surely we all remember the Booker - HHH rivalry leading up to XIX. In that, he really showed he was capable of leading the show. I know he's got what it takes. Just, like a whole load of other superstars, he's underused.

I think Booker has great mic skills, and is actually way better as a heel. The Japanese shampoo commercial was one of the funniest things I ever saw, and then there were the moments where he tried to show up Rock by auditioning for My Fair Lady and the time Austin was chasing him around the church. He's said in interviews he can't be a heel because he's not mean enough, but he's just damn funny.

I just hate the way he is on the mic. The same type of things every time. I just dont think Booker is that great. Some people love him but I just cant stand him. I liked him better when he didnt have the dreads though.

Well jesus...just cuz you dont like em doesnt decide what he is. Hes a great wrestler but honestley i too dont think he CAN carry the show. Fans love em...he gets a big pop most of the time...but when it comes to being a main eventer and taking the spot light...thats not wat he's known for doing. Vince Russo gave Booker a HUGE push....and thats the only reason Booker is where he is today. Russo is a joke and he has nothing to bring to the table. I liked the Booker stone cold rivalry though....fighting in the grocery store and stuff. Funny..funny...

 

I cant wait for tonights RAW. This draft thing will be awesome. Im really excited with what theyll be doing.

Shelton Benjamin is on RAW!!!!! I cant wait for this, hes the best man. Well not the best, but he's going to be amazing as a single wrestler. He nearly won the gauntlet and I think hes going to be feuding for the Intercontenental Title. Damn, I just cant wait to see him on RAW. Kickass, Shelton Benjamin is on Raw now.

They will move at least 2 champions, Id say Orton goes to Smackdown and Cena goes to RAW probobly. Not sure. But it sucks that they're only doing 12 picks on TV and then the rest will be posted on draft.wwe.com.

We are making a record amount of posts in the UWT because of the excitement of this draft lottery.

 

 

I really hope that Booker T and RVD lose the titles to Flair and Batista. Booker will probobly stay on RAW and RVD better go to Smackdown for some new feuds, as he needs them.

 

 

Guerrero vs. Triple H....should be great. Benoit vs Rhyno should be great too.
