I heard the Brock vs Eddie match was amazing and Goldberg barely had any part in it. But it was obvious Eddie would win. Cant wait till Wrestlemania!!! Just 27 days away......I can see my self sitting in my dads awesome couch with a 70 inch TV with Surround sound watching probobly one of the best pay per views in years, plus I'll have my favourite Fast food by my side........Taco Bell's Chicken Quesidila! Hell yea!

Well after the midcard promo wher Goldberg and Lesnar scrapped, it was becoming somewhat evident that WWE might have totally switched everything around, which they are perfectly capable of doing, and have done before..

I can see Jericho getting the title this year, winning it from Benoit would be damn amazing. Lesnar will definitely get it this year as well for another well deserved run as champ. There is a rumor that the main event for Wrestlemania 21 might be Lesnar vs. HHH, that would be an awesome match.

To me, as much as Angle is an amazing wrestler, HHH is that much better of a Heel...hes top Heel for a reason.

About NWO...Lesnar/Guerrero is already a Match of the Year candidate. I also liked how they had Chavo win the cruiserweight title earlier in what was also an excellent match, but then Eddie becomes world champion, shades of Bret/Owen.

 

WWE is bringing back their Hall of Fame, they're thinking of inducting Bret, he said he'd do it, but declined becoming involved in the WM Triple Threat match. Bruno Sammartino will also be inducted, but refuses to be in the same room with Vince, and they're also considering Dusty Rhodes. That slug gets into a Hall of Fame before Hogan, DiBiase, Savage, and Roberts? He's the sorriest, fattest, slowest, marble-mouthed joke to ever waddle into a wrestling ring, Goldberg included. Granted, he was supposedly a major player in the old NWA, but his WWF days, the days of polka dots, Sapphire, Plumber Man, should not get any sort of positive recognition.

You have GOT to be kidding me. Macho Man is a 2-time champion, involved in some of the greatest matches and storylines of all time. It actually began back with his IC reign, winning the title from Tito Santana, under the crooked ref Danny Davis. He then had the true intense storyline when he crushed Rick Steamboat's larynx, and then obviously the first classic IC match at WM3. The match was actually so good that Savage and Steamboat were actually punished backstage because management thought they would overshadow Hogan/Andre. His first title run, the classic finals match with DiBiase, establishing the Megapowers/Megabucks storyline, and their breakup with the fight over Elizabeth, and Savage carried Hogan to possibly his best match ever. As a heel, his intensity continued, costing Ultimate Warrior the title to Sgt. Slaughter, leading up to the WM7 career match. He not only helped Warrior look good, he brought the intensity up to where he nearly stole the show once again. Awesome finish with Warrior standing over him, arms crossed. He put him and the storyline over huge. When he came back again as a face, he was involved in two of my favorite storylines of all time: the snakebite angle with Roberts, where Macho Man's fiery intensity complimented Jake's calm dementia perfectly, and the summer-long feud with Flair, first over the altered photos of Ric and Elizabeth, then the Savage/Warrior rematch at Summerslam, where Flair and Perfect played mind games with both, then launched the ultimate betrayal. Both were awesome, awesome matches as well. Macho Man is right behind Bret, Flair, and Rock in my book for the greatest champions of all time.

 

Compare that to Rhodes' WWF stint: he shoveled horse sh*t, saying "Doo doo is good for me, doo doo is good for you", stole Big Boss Man's hat and nightstick, had the ugliest "diva" (Sapphire) in the history of pro wrestling, wore the worst outfit ever, jobbed in a humiliating 2-minute squash to Savage at Summerslam, which also launched a horribly racist angle with DiBiase ("buying" Sapphire-can you say slavery?), and at least knew his place by repeatedly jobbing to Teddy. His only redeeming quality was his funky theme music.

If youd like, i could give you an equally compelling story of Dusty Rhodes career in NWA....I dont care how many WWF titles he won, Dusty Rhodes worked twice as hard, wrestled for twice as long, traveled twice as much as Macho Man ever did....Macho Man was a good wrestler...never great....to me, totally annoying on the mic, even in comparison to Rhodes...at least Rhodes had some f*cking charisma, you have no clue how many people loved him...still do...Goldberg won a wwf title, unbelivable....title cred almost means nothing anymore....Dusty Rhodes never took that particular title but he did enough for me....20+ years contributed to the buisness throughout all the main companies...Savage is overrated.

 

Savage will never have a match in my all time favs list....IM NOT SAYING he doesnt have good matches under his belt....but he has just as many terrible ones....KEEP IN MIND you are only stating his 'goods' and only stating what you can think of that Rhodes isnt good for....so i can do the same too i guess.....You could find plenty of AMAZING matches that hes had with Ric Flair, Bob Orton, Terry Funk, Ricky Steamboat, and all of the great nwa alumni.

 

check it out, all of these matches were classic...ive long forgotten of *most of those 'amazing feuds' you talk about Macho having...theres too many good feuds these days and those day that shadowed the hell outta those...but here are random Rhodes matches that id say are just as good if not better....all NWA....some of the most exciting tag team wrestling ever.

****for people that dont know, NWA had WICKED storylines back in their heyday.

 

Dusty Rhodes fought almost every big name there was to offer...put of great matches too....recognize....we dont need to talk about people being f*cked out of thier WWF tv time with sh*tty angles...it happens to the best of wrestlers...Shane Douglas, Rhodes, Lance Storm, and a list of other greats....Lance storm doesnt quite have thier mic skill but hes just far too good of a wrestler for what they are offering him...i think we call all agree on that.

 

lets compare to now..Savage is a huge loser, possibly the biggest joke in the buisness for making a rap cd to bash Hogan because he has no balls to say it to his face..the last time he was wrestling i couldnt belive my eyes, he was injuring people week in, week out giving an elbow drop cuz his legs are so feeble that he has to put all of his body weight on the guy hes doing it to....hes done for sure, id rather not see him and hogan go at it personally...

 

Rhodes, i belive, is still involved with NWATNA doing some oldschool style matches, using just as much energy as ever, BLEEDING his ass off...STILL....Id give Rhodes more credit, but hey we cant like everyone the same....and some people might not like Dustin Runnels/Rhodes/Whatever....but he's second generation, and is a damn tech wrestler....too bad it had to be Goldust...but honestly in Goldusts heyday, he had two AWESOME fueds with Razor Ramon and Roddy Piper....Dusty and Dustin both had good matches in wcw as well...cant really remeber any off by heart, i could look.

 

 

on another note, Raw was 'meh'.....No Rock....Jericho's storyline STILL idleing....that loser Shawn Michaels has TAKEN ALL OF BENOITS f*ckING HEAT!! DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS FOR BENOIT TO GET HEAT?!?!....f*cking die michaels.

Now, No Way Out. In my opinion, the Cruiserweight, triple threat and title match were great, but the rest of the card could have appeared on Velocity.

 

Although, I'd say the main event made up for the predictability and generally average other matches. I'd say more, but I'm still waiting for the tape.

Woah, i was watching an old video, and after the film i was watching finished, it had overtaped Backlash 2001, luckily the main event was still on it, and the last man standing match between Shane and Big Show, and they were some hell of some matches, and bought back some memories, i remember going mad when Triple H got the sledghammer over kanes head, and picking up the win for the 'powertrip'.

 

Woah, memories, shortly before the invasion as i recall.

Yeah those were some good times. The whole Austin - 'Taker and Kane - Triple H, yes? Like the chain match and such, all over the IC and WWE titles. Good matches.

 

And Backlash '01, that was the tag team match with the Tag, IC, and WWE titles on the line? Still remember that one. There was interference from Vince?

 

And the last man standing was a great match, I'm thinking this was the one when Shane did that awesome dive. He's one crazy guy I'll give him that. Test interfered?

Yeah well Matt you now got No Way out and I finally saw the Royal Rumble in return. Its a cool Event, Matches well all were good and the Royal Rumble ending was much better than last years.

 

The best thing about The Big Boot to Steph was that on Raw the next night, she had a big bruse. Ha, Great!

 

I would have no Idea where you could rent Wrestling Videos, in the UK anyway, I only have a few, mostly SummerSlam's from 2000 onwards. Yet, Im going to sort all of them out now.
