ECW was a little better last night. The Sabu match was a little hardcore and the main event was pretty good. Still not an ECW like feeling when I watch though.

I think we have to accept that for the time being, while ECW is not raking in cash and ratings that MchMahon wants, it's going to be subject to its sh*tty story-line and match planning. Nothing about the ECW shows so far has been "hardcore"; it's just been some chairs and sh*t, about the equivalent of an old WWF hardcore match. Definitely not "ECW" in the least bit.

 

Not even One Night Stand was that good. I mean, it was pretty good with the Terry Funk match, and the Sabu match, but you can tell that WWE has its hands all over it. I don't think that WWE is going to allow ECW to do some of the old sh*t it used to do while it's still "under its wing", so to speak. I mean, we are kind of forgetting, that Paul Heyman probably has little say in the matters at this point. What a jip. Hopefully as people continue to watch it will get a little better, though.

 

I'm hoping we'll actually be able to see a match with Sandman soon, and not just him randomly beating someone. *sigh* Thanks WWE for getting my hopes up.

Of course WWE has its hands on it. But it can't get any worse. All there can be is improvement. Just don't seem to understand why WWE does some of the things they do now. It seems like they are against ECW becoming what it used to be. Or maybe Sci-Fi just doesn't want it.

I thought last night was going to be a big improvement after seeing the match with Sabu and Roadkill but man did it go to hell again. They brought out f*cking Kelly again, had to do the storyline with Edge, and not to mention the main event sucked. This is f*cking pathetic. It isn't ECW at all. At all. I don't care what anyone says. It seems to follow the same pattern every week too. This is what they have to do if I'm going to enjoy this:

 

 

1. Get rid of Kelly

 

2. Get creative with the matches.

 

3. Have Sandman in real matches.

 

4. Make it f*cking extreme.

Well at least RAW is good so we have one good show. I think that ECW will gradually get better after this Raw Vs. ECW storyline is over.

Yeah, that's kind of the point in ECW. If I wanted to see normaly wrestling chopped in with sh*tty storyline, I'd watch Raw and Smackdown. ECW is supposed to be void of the candy-coated bullsh*t.

 

I understand that they have to use Kelly to fill time and attempt to grab ratins, so I know that's temporary. But ECW isn't f*cking "Extreme Championship Wrestling" if only a chair is brought in, and only in one f*cking match.

 

This weeks' show was a little better, yeah, but it's still WAY too watered down, and I don't expect it to get much better. Seems like WWE has put a cap on the "extremeness", and unleashed awful filler.

 

This "new vision" of ECW isn't Extreme Championship Wrestling, it's Extremely Crappy Wrestling.

Sure I do, but even those matches introduced various weapons to the scene, and were hardcore. Granted they only have an hour to play with, it just really doesn't seem like the same.

 

Really, I'm mostly upset with the storyline they've introduced to it, and the gimmicks.

Yes actually they do. Maybe not blood but weapons are a big part of ECW. What I saw in the main event I could of seen in a Raw main event.

ECW never had barbed wire c4 matches, just barbed wire matches, and yeah they should have them on anyway.

 

Yeah Raw is the best show only because they've done a very very very very very sh*tty job at bringing ECW back.

 

 

Even when weapons weren't used in ECW they still did some crazy sh*t. Look at some of RVD's matches. Still it was more entertaining with weapons.

Everyone is bitching about it probably because they remember the old real ECW like me. It was a low budget wrestling show that revolved less around storylines and more around kicking ass. This crap they have on now that they call ECW isn't ECW. This is the last time I'll say it. I'm sick of people saying how "Oh, did you expect it to be like the old ECW?" or "This isn't supposed to be like the old ECW. It is a new vision." If that is the case then they shouldn't of brought it back in the first place. They're just sh*tting on the name now.

 

Plus I hate how they have to state "Remember, these are ECW rules. Anything goes." every week, not to mention those rules never seem to be acknowledged enough.
