What is WWE thinking? A title change 2 days before a match, Boogeyman beats up Santa Vito and elf Nunzio, a ref KILLS HIMSELF in a skit, this may have surpassed Great American Bash for 2005's worst ppv.

Ted DiBiase hospitalized

 

Earlier today in Stamford, Conn., Ted DiBiase collapsed and lost consciousness. He has since regained consciousness and will be held overnight in a local hospital to undergo testing.

 

My thoughts and prayers go out to DiBiase and his family. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for him.

I love when they do outdoor shows. Remember Summerslam 92? 80,000 fans packed into Wembley Stadium, and the AWESOME day to night effect...Wrestlemania IX: the card was weak, but the Roman theme at Caesar's Palace looked so damn cool, Mania XIX looked great. I wish they'd do one at SBC Park in San Francisco. Plus, it's the only truly nice venue in the Bay Area with enough capacity to host a Wrestlemania.

Raw sucked. The last match made me laugh. The ref thought if he had a patch it would protect him.

The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase was the greatest heel the WWF/E ever had, and is neck and neck with Ric Flair for the best heel in the history of wrestling. He was my favorite growing up, and is currently an agent and writer for Smackdown.

 

Wrestlemania's in Chicago, at the Allstate Arena (why they fit Mania into that tiny place is beyond me, the United Center holds way more), the site of two notoriously bad Manias past, II and XIII.

Good technical wrestler and a fantastic talker.Steve Austin was his "Ringmaster" when Steve first came to WWE.The Million Dollar Belt..ah the memories

I think when Taker first hit, buddy was a little fat boy. I've always been scared of Taker. He always found a way to be scary. The man could walk out with a pink dress, I'll still be scared sh*tless.

Ya when Austin got fired by WCW and eventually ended up in WWE with Dibiase as his manager/financial backer.He had kinduva stable.They tryed this Ringmaster gimmick with Steve.

 

He made this fancy "diamond" belt for his Ringmaster.It really wasn't much of a gimmick.Just that Austin was supposed to be this amazing natural talent that could out wrestle anybody.

 

Course it rarely went that way with Dibiase getting involved and various trick endings and whatnot.

 

Needless to say,The Ringmaster never really went anywhere.Along came Stone Cold and Mr McMahon and the rest is history.

The belt was around for quite some time before Austin had it. Actually, in the late 70's, DiBiase was wrestling for Vince McMahon Sr. at the old World Wide Wrestling Federation, and I believe he was a face. He was the first North American champion, before losing the belt to Pat Patterson, who was then recognized as the first Intercontinental Champion. He came back in late 87 as the Million Dollar Man we all know and love, and had quite a bit of success, first as a singles wrestler, then was paired with Irwin R. Schyster (Mike Rotundo) as Money Inc. and formed one of the greatest tag teams ever. After injuring his neck in 93, DiBiase came back as a manager, and formed the Million Dollar Corporation. Wrestlers in the stable included IRS, Bam Bam Bigelow, Nikolai Volkoff, the Fake Undertaker, Tatanka, King Kong Bundy, Kama, Sycho Sid, the 1-2-3 Kid, Xanta Klaus, and, after all these guys had left, Austin.

While I too like Batista, and I like Kane a lot too. Its the simple fact that putting those two in the ring for 30 odd minutes and having them WRESTLE one another. Ouch. Ill keep my $50.
