Smackdown is a lot harder than the previous one. Im at Survivor Series right now. I started the season with Batista, but I created myself and used myself in a season, its a lot harder with a created player, but im like the greatest so Im doing okay.

Yah it takes awhile to get goin with a created character cuz he sux...they took out alot of CAW options though...kinda sux.

Well, I got my created guys stats to an overall of 70, it takes so long because they almost never give you a match when you are a jobber. But they put me in the elimination chamber, I made it to the final 2 with brock....he mauled me, big time. I had 65 overall and he had 92....ouch.

So I take it points play a bigger part in this one? That can only be good, no more Jeff winning my WWE Championship.

Like they took out a bunch of CAWs hair styles...which sux. Everything else is kinda the same. Im still around 50s with my CAW...I just formed an alliance with Brock though so its all good....

f*ck its funny cuz im undefeated, but BARELY!!

 

im up around 59 but ive wreslted soooo many people!!...even big stars!!

 

i slapped kurt angle...and had a match..

 

So yeah we are fighting...an he got like 8 specials on me without a pinfall....he kept doing ankle locks that i could get rope for, and every time he'd angle slam me, he wouldnt pin!!....so after a 35 minute battle, i got a special, that he kicked out of.....but about 5 minutes later right when he was about the go off again, i rolled him up outta the ropes and got my feet on the ropes BARELY for the three count!!...i was so happy...till the next day when i barely got anything for such an amazing feat.....and of course i end up feuding with val venis, which was cool, but angle ended up getting, and winning a title shot

 

anyway smackdown was pretty good this week....low key crowd...in a sh*ttier atlanta building...ah well show was decent..i really like big show and lesnar as buddies its hilarious....the first vince/heyman promo was alittle over done, but the next one where heyman goes off on mcmahon is classic

 

On a horribly sad note... ...you all saw nathan jones....same two moves...honestly you can tell just by his walk, that he's learned nothing since his brief departure...he'll be gone again soon...matt morgan...a much better wrestler...but he's still "generic musclebound okay wrestler #3463" ....ya gotta have more character to get anywhere like that...sorry matt...i hope lesnar end both of thier careers

thats the problem....nathan jones did almost fall right over again....he does the one of the worst 'big boots' ive ever seen....he almost pushes off the guy and falls back..

 

and morgan, unfortunatly debut with 0 character...just "hey look at me im big, and wear generic wrestler half tights, and nobody knows anything about me!!"....i also fear his mic skillz, but hey we can always make him look good by comparing him to nathan!!

 

 

 

yeah so after vigorous smackdown playing....i dont know how, but i managed to win the us title from angle, and months later, the world title in an elimination chamber...i was soo excited, thing is....my guys rating is still S00PER low compared to angle/benoit/lesnar and them...so whenever i defend its almost impossible...i still got'em both now, but benoit is the only guy with a victory over me...well, he has two...but he's also got the next title shot...man its so hard to get attribute points....but i do enjoy the stories and mini promos...elimination chamber matches are awesome fun but sofar im only winning out of cleverness

 

 

on yet another note i thoughtd id ponder the wrestlemania XX scene as its progress gets a lil more clear each month..

 

rumored matches: lesnar/goldberg?? goldberg austin?? undertaker/kane??

 

another good thought is mick foley....he definatly wants to be a part of this...and the msg thing basically ensures that he'll wrestle his last match there....so far the biggest possibility for him is HHH...HHH really wants Foley at mania....i really dont want goldberg to fight lesnar unless its to get f*cked up...when he wrestles someone with endless talent...it really shows what he lacks... not good.. Austin will prolly want one at mania for the hell of it...if its still going, maybe jericho??...i could even see jericho/michaels 3.....and undertaker/kane is almost a guarentee

expect stephanie mcmahon to come back at survivor series to bury taker. Taker is then suppose to take some time off and then in february, WAM! he comes back as the dead man. Well, thats just a rumor as of now, but i was right about the buried alive match wasnt I?

 

About Smackdown, I lost the elimination chamber with my created guy. I was running at lesnar after he pinned val venis and then he kicked me, F-Fived me and it was over. He squashed us all. So now I am doing a season with Batista, and its looking a hell of a lot better. Ive even beaten Lesnar and Austin backstage. Angle is hard, since he reverses nearly everything but I showed him that I can easily squash him. Anyways, Im about to go into Summerslam with Batista now, only 2 months away from the chamber.

 

Also....man does that CAW suck compared to last years. Okay, it doesnt suck but come on, at least I could make a better Shane Mcmahon on last years version. They toned down like everything. They just added a few new features. The created wrestlers look a hell of a lot better, but the options just dont satisfy me in this sequel. It should have been done a hell of a lot better. Most of the stuff they just uploaded from the last game and its in even sh*ttier quality! I love the CAW....I really do, one of my favourite features, but come on, this CAW needs to be more improved.

So far for XX I've heard the following rumoured matches:

 

Triple H - Foley

 

Undertaker - Kane

 

Austin - Goldberg

 

Goldberg - Lesnar

Now personally, I don't like any of those, for particular reasons. With Triple H - Foley, I know everyone loves Mick and he sure can get a crowd going, but the guy can't wrestle for sh*t. I think Triple H is going to have to do a lot of work in this one, and Foley is going to have to rely on some major bumps and the hardcore side of things to get this match anywhere.

 

With Undertaker - Kane, I'm disappointed at the WWE choosing Kane of all people as an opponent. This could very well be 'Takers last appearence, and I don't want him going out against somebody like Kane. For one, Kane can't put a good match on wrestling wise, and what I really want is a classic for 'Taker, not some brawl, populated by right hands. Maybe if Kane was the old Kane with mask, the mysterious one, and 'Taker was the Phenom, then it may have been slightly more acceptable. But with Kanes current character I can't say it's one I'm looking forward to.

 

With Austin - Goldberg, I can't actually see anything wrong with this one, despite Goldbergs sheer crapness. I think it will be good for one reason only, this is a dream match. For years people have wanted to see Austin take on his WCW equivalent, and vice versa, and where better than WrestleMania XX? So for that reason, I think this match will by OK.

 

And Goldberg - Lesnar. This match could be good, as these guys are sort of Raw - Smackdown! equivalents, they're both top ranking superstars and contenders for their respective World Championships. They also both have the sort of monster character, and they're both pretty damn strong. This could be OK aswell.

 

 

So if he can bitch about the planned matches, why doesn't he think up better? You may be thinking. Well, a few matches I would love to see for WrestleMania would be:

 

Angle - Benoit (WWE Championship) - Let's face it. After seeing Royal Rumble 2003, we know these two can put on a hell of a match, and the crowd love it. well, i dont think taker will be retiring after wrestlemania....i think he's still got a few years in him....has anyone else noticed that he's basically, like big show, in his 'wrestling' prime?!....ive never seen him so technically sound....his oldschool undertaker matches were good but he could never wrestle quite this well for a big guy.

 

Austin and the Rock are thru....they had there match at mania, and rock absolutaly whooped his ass with 3 rock bottoms, fairly....i was there it was amazing ...i also think they arent going to be having very many title reigns left in thier careers...maybe one or two more each at most...but i see someone like randy orton or hhh or jericho as champ then.

 

Goldberg is definatly not Brock Lensars equivalent....Brock is bigger, way stronger, way better on the mic, is 100x better of a wrestler, and get this?! has LESS 'in ring experiance' ...bah its unbelivable how little goldberg has learned in like what...8 or something years...and then theres the whole cred. thing...we dont really need to get into that...we all know..

 

The one match that id like to see there is the Angle/Benoit match....maybe the one where Benoit finally wins the title.....either way there next match we be awesome, wherever they fight.

 

every time i see lesnar and benoit on the same screen, i cant help but to think of a match they could put on....or even better a 3 way with The them and Angle....ahhh the possibilities

 

i always keep in mind that pretty much anything can happen in wrestling in a 4 or 5 month period

Well, I wrote a review for smackdown. Its in Gaming Chat. Also, I'd officialy like to say, the hell with the fantasy wrestling. Its too damn hard to keep writing. I think menace agrees with me that it would be awesome to do, but its just to hard to do. So fantasy wrestling is officialy now closed.

Ok, well it's Sunday now so I've seen Smackdown!, and I must say I'm pretty disappointed with the chosen teams for Angle and Lesnar, especially with the inclusion of Nathan Jones.

 

Nathan always f*cks up and can't get a reaction from the crowd. Matt is new and hasn't developed a character yet, with the WWE relying on his size as a selling point. The APA are Ok, but I don't think they're suited to such a high card match, especially with Faarooq past his prime (though I must admit he worked a damn good match at NM). And Hardoce Holly sort of has the 'boring' character, and gets little reaction.

 

Personally I would want the teams to be something like

 

 

Angle

 

Benoit

 

Cena

 

Eddie

 

Chavo

 

-vs-

 

 

Lesnar

 

Big Show

 

Matt Morgan?

 

Charlie Haas

 

Shelton Benjamin

 

 

I think these teams would bve much more suiting, as both teams have good workers, and can get the fans going. There also isn't a single guy listed (minus Show) who can wrestle well. Matt has a ? because I have heard good things about him from OVW, but obviously the fans are still to judge. I also couldn't find another Heel on the roster who had the ability to partake in such a match (Rhyno, A-Train).

 

So yes, another post full of constructive-criticism from me. Feel free to comment on my suggestions or ideas.

Rhyno actually has some skills, and I'd rather see him carry the feud with Benoit than A-Train. Maybe Tajiri on the heel team, but he may be heading for a feud with Ultimo Dragon which is all good.

 

I actually like the Bashams' S&M gimmick, and Shaniqua is perfect for that role. I still can't tell Doug from Danny though, and they both haven't shown much in the ring. WGTT looks to be heading for a face turn, and Chavo will probably turn heel soon.

Big show is a great wrestler....pound for pound....one of the best....id like to see how anyone else fairs off grappling with 500 pounds of themselves... i dont wanna knock andre but he couldnt do a quarter of the sh*t big show does...andre could barely balance....he's come a really long way....although he was in alot better shape back in the days with shane as his manager, he's at his 'wrestling' prime right now

 

@leper....it isnt hard to tell them apart....One of alot more defined than the other...i like to call him "the good one"....they are actually both good wrestlers...but the smaller, more defined basham is superb....id say he is easily the best ive seen of the new people of the last months...he reminds me of a really good mix of benoit and guerrero in his style...with a good character he could go places just with his in ring talent.

I can't say I'm too fond of The Bashams, maybe it's their bland personality that puts me off. I don't think either of them has got an 'in-ring' personality yet either, as in they don't focus on a certain tactice to pick up a victory (Submission, Power etc.). I'm also put off by the whole S&M thing they've got going on, I think it's.. erm.. stupid.

 

And I also forsee a hell turn in the near future for Chavo, I thought it was going to happen on Smackdown! when he took way too long to come to Eddies rescue, or when he started shoving Eddie around after his/their previous title losses. I don't want to see it happen personally, as I like the Los Guerreros, and although Eddie will go far as a singles competitor, I fell Chavo will not. I think this is disappointing as Chavo really has talent, and I think he is underrated.

 

The only good I can see coming out of the break up is a feud between the two for the US Title, which could result in some above average matches.

Im doing a season with the Rock now, Im the heavyweight champion and I just beat Jericho in a submission match. When the option comes up, Im going to make a faction, and include Jericho in it for sure. He just shook my hand in respect!

 

The old school undertaker is easily the best wrestler in the game, his overall is 93, and he kicks ass like crazy. When Im done the season with the Rock, im doing one with him. Then Im going to create Bret Hart tonight and do a season with him.

 

Anyways, Raw is tonight. I dont think it will be too good though. Not much is escelating to survivor series. I want to see Batista in a match tonight, and I also want to see Goldberg injured....but not everything can happen. Matt Hardy has been confirmed to move to RAW soon. Confirmed! So we will now see Version 1.0 show off his talent on RAW. He will probobly feud with Christain seeing as Christain is hitting on Lita.

Being in the UK, with only the minimal Sky Digital subscription, I only get the Smackdown! brand, so I do actually miss it when a superstar leaves. I bleed blue and white!

 

And on the topic of the OS Undertaker on HCTP, I know he is statistically best, but if you sim a match between him and Goldberg, or even Lesnar, he will lose. Putting the superstar ratings aside, Goldberg is the best.

 

Still 4 days for me... The anticipation is growing!

You shouldnt doubt WWE on Wrestle Mania. Theyve been working on WM XX for a LONG ASS TIME. Theyre going to have the greatest matches. Thats one thing ive noticed as a WWE fan, never doubt em cuz theyll end up doin somthing awesome.

I have to agree there, with all the hype and advertising going into it, they must have something pretty damn special planned for us.

 

But despite the great show at XIX, in all my years of watching WWE/F (since Dec '99 ), I don't think any WrestleMania I have seen has topped X7. WrestleMania X7 is the best one I have seen to date, so I'm really hoping XX can pull it off and make it to the top of my favourites list.

 

I think the reason I liked X7 so much was probably the fact that it was a noticable amount different to the regular PPV's.

 

It had TLC, Rock - Austin (No DQ - Added bonus), and every superstar that was on it was top class, unlike the likes of A-Train and other superstars that plague the WrestleMania roster as of late. It also had a screw-job, which despite ruining the classic WrestleMania respective loss, causes a hell of a lot of oppurtunities, aswell as it being the Chairman off WWE, pairing with his old arch rival.

 

I think X8 was probably the worst WM, as the main event was awful in my opinion, with Rock - Hogan being the only thing that made it really worth watching for me.

f*ck goldberg....it took me awhile but i treated him like a little girl in a impromptu hardcore match...he's like "what do u want?!"....then i proceeded to say "well, i want to fight you"....then he blabs about being the best not knowing i had the title...and that i could whoop his ass even with a 72 rating

 

and yeah i totally gotta make a bret caw.....they have his moveset in their somewhere...i dunno if ya have to buy it or what...but i know they have his, hogans and ultimate warriors along with allll the japanese wrestlers and old wcw guys and such.

 

 

about mania..

 

x8 was awesome...jericho got to live his dream....he got to go into a wrestlemania main event, with the two hugest titles in the history of the buisness..in his home country....so what if he was there to lose...he's a heel, thats almost expected....it was a good match too...all of em were just like any wrestlemania....hogan/rock was gold....but there was plenty more than that....for every ppv that someone doesnt like, a million other people probably loved it.

 

its too hard to lower down to a fav mania....its like, basically any of you that have a favorite will be taking the one with a couple matches that were your favorite matches, but i could basically find two or three matches from every wrestlemania that are just as good as any of two...think of all the matches we've forgotten?!...who knows what they are but there's a sh*tload that are probably awesome

 

not that anyone forgot, but hogan/mcmahon could have held up that entire ppv by itself....it was ridiculous to be a part of....it was like watching the only two guys that arent the best at wrestling, but can still have 55, 000 people in the palm of thier hand...then when piper came...that was unexpected even for me..ahh i love wrestlemanias..

Well, X7 was definitely the best wrestlemania of the new millenium. But XII was pretty damn awesome too. The Iron Man Match pretty much made it one of the best ever. I also like Wrestlemania X, the first ever ladder match and Razor and HBK put it on awesome, although the ending was blotchy. But like menace said, pretty much all of the matches are awesome, so you cant narrow one wrestlemania down to being the best, its just too hard. You can name some of the best matches, but the best event is fairly hard.

 

I made a faction with Jericho!!! Me and him are going to choose a diva, then another guy in our faction. Who those wrestlers will be is still undecided. But in order for me to start the faction I have to face him, and then Im doing a heel turn, JR explained it to me. Damn this kicks ass.

 

About Goldberg. I did the same thing, hes like Im the best, and I was the champion too. I whooped his ass without any body damage at all. Then I whipped his ass in a hell in a cell at Summerslam. My bro still loves him though, only because he has the illusion of being a "beast". Stupid brother.....when will he learn Goldberg cant do anything but jump up and down and scream.

 

Anyways, there are some huge rumors flying around for tonights RAW. Little Johnny might be John Heidenreich's alter ego. Which would mean that he is a skitso, which would be a new idea for WWE if they go through with it. I could care less either way.

 

Matt23, Yes, Goldberg would beat OS taker in a match if you simed it only because Goldberg's superstar points are higher, but Takers overall is better than goldbergs. Superstar Points are the base of simming matches.

Kane,Lesnar,Goldberg,Batista & Old School Taker are the best in the game.Batista can be good if you use him in season and make his stats higher,Cena sucks for season soley because his meter fills up to damn slow.

 

If you have av turbo controller it makes it a hell of alot easier to make someone tap out.*goes out to buy turbo controller*

I dont know if Money Inc is one of the names that they allow you to use. They have 6 pages of faction names, I took the Nation of Domination. Vince then made the corperation!

Anyways, yes Bret Hart's moves are in the game but his attire isnt sadly. So its kinda hard to make a decent Bret Hart....but that doesnt mean Im going to quit.

 

Im going to start a season with Test next, as he is one of my favourite wrestlers, he has been since he joined the corporation 4 years ago on his debut. He kicks ass.

Three days 'til the release here in the UK, and it's starting to get annoying now. My first match will be a Royal Rumble (has been since JBI), because I like to see all the character models and attires.

 

Then in Season, I'm not sure. I'm stuck between using Benoit, or Eddie Guerrero. At the moment I'm leaning towards Guerrero as he has more titles to challenge for.

 

Meh. I'll decide soon.

-- There's currently some controversy in the UK over the new WWE game 'Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain' as reported by the Birmingham Evening Mail newspaper.

 

-- A Midland MP and a rape counseling charity have blasted WWE over the option of the 'Bra and Panties' match, which the object of the match is to undress your opponent.

 

"It's very lacking in taste," said Caroline Spelman, Tory MP for Meriden.

 

-- She said that the game is currently being marketed with this feature and according to her it's "leaving a bad taste in the mouth."

 

"This game is degrading to women," said Maggie Williams, project manager of the Birmingham-based Rape and Sexual Violence Project.

 

"It's giving people, particularly children and teenagers, the message that it's okay to attack women, which is very wrong."

 

-- Williams also fears that kids playing the game may copy what they see in the bra and panties match and do the thing in real life!

 

"To me this screams pornography. I think it should be banned and a review carried out on computer game content."

 

 

 

I just hope that it doesnt get banned in UK, that would piss off a hell of a lot of people.....big time.
