Mark, you contradicted yourself. You're saying Jericho can't win the rumble because they want to milk the Orton/Triple H/Batista storyline, yet, you then say that Orton is with Stacy now and he has to lose her and blah, blah, blah. Well, there's Orton's storyline, so f*ck the whole triangle thing, having a surprise Jericho win would fit perfectly.

For those of you who watched Raw, did you notice Snitzky right after him and Kane went through the tables and the camera and had just got over to get the shot of them?

 

I'd love for WM to be Chris Jericho winning over HHH. I just hope they don't tie the match into another triple threat like last year.

Yeah, he was laughing. I also think he asked Kane if he was ok. That Benoit/Jericho match was shortened for Kane/Snitsky? That match should have gone on for at least ten more minutes. No Benoit match is complete without a successfully pulled off Crossface just like no Jericho match is complete without either the Walls of Jericho, Lion Sault (though he's done this move less and less lately), or that dropkick off of the turnbuckles. It was a great match but much too short.

The only thing going through my mind during Batista's match was, "Sweet Jesus he sucks, he wont even attempt a move besides the spinebuster because his body might fall apart, cant wait for the lacking spinebuster win.."

 

I cannot belive the hype they were giving him after that sh*t match where he didnt even wow the fans once. Lesnar would have f-5'd him. Probably would have attempted a bloody powerbomb. Grow some nuts Batista, AND LEARN TO SELL.

I actually predicted that about Matt long before werleman (actually, someone else thought of it on the wrestlecrap boards). It wouldn't really make sense though because Matt was pretty over before he got injured, was relatively new as a face after a long heel run, and he was one of those heels who couldn't get heat if he cut The Rock's arms off with a chainsaw.

When he 'won' the title that night from HHH, to one of the loudest pops in history....nobody expected it.

 

When he won the undisputed title off of Steve Austin and the Rock, he was the last person anyone thought would win.

 

 

Its at that point where it could happen at any time, but we are all asking for it at each opporitunity

Also, Joey tells me that the plan for WM21 is for Orton to face Taker as a Legend vs. Legend Killer match. There's rumors for it I guess, so that would rule out the possibility of him in the main event....which leaves open the spot for Jericho to win the rumble.

 

 

....or Batista. But then again, that train is looking mighty tempting.

Did any of you pay attention to that Stone Cold press conference they kept plugging on RAW? I usually don't pay attention to that stuff but it caught my attention because of just how much they kept talking about. Naturally I thought he was going to be coming back to RAW in some capacity. Turns out I was wrong:

 

 

WWE.com reports that Steve Austin and WWE will announce this Wednesday in Hollywood that Austin will star in three upcoming films for WWE Films. The announcement will be made from the LA Roosevelt Hotel (7000 Hollywood Boulevard between Highland & LaBrea) in Hollywood, California in the Oscar Room on 1/18 at 12 Noon. Austin and Vince McMahon will also appear on FSN's "The Best Damn Sports Show" later that day. Below is WWE.com's release:

 

"WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and legendary superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin will be on hand this coming Wednesday January 18 to announce their agreement for a three-picture deal under the WWE Films™ banner. WWE Films will produce and fully finance the films under the supervision of Joel Simon, President of WWE Films. Most recently, Steve wrapped a supporting role in The Longest Yard, starring Adam Sandler and directed by Peter Segal, scheduled for release by Paramount later this year.

 

Stone Cold Steve Austin’s first project for WWE Films will be The Condemned™, written by Rob and Andrew Hedden. The film will be executive produced by Vince McMahon and George Vrabeck. The film will be produced by Joel Simon in association with Sidestreet/New Wave Entertainment. The story deals with a cop on death-row who is given a second chance when chosen to compete on a deadly reality show. Pursued by ruthless killers, his survival and the key to his freedom depend on him surviving long enough to take down the one person responsible for putting him behind bars.

 

Aside from the Stone Cold Steve Austin deal, WWE Films, will produce and fully finance another two to four films a year. Bleh, I hate Austin anyways. Sure he means ratings, but he's gotten quite stale over the years. I stopped liking him after his first year in the attitude era. He regained some love from me when he started playing guitar though...

Orton Vs. Taker would be good, but I don't want to see Orton shipped off to Smackdown. Yes, they need more talent, but what they really need is a GM that actually acts like a GM, A stable like Evolution (JBL's thing will never amount to Evo), and they just need to stop the whole roster breakup thing. Let the two brands have a war, and then in the end live happily ever after with 1 brand again.

In No Holds Barred, Hogan plays a wrestler, obviously, who is the biggest rating success on TV. The head of the rival network tries to get him to jump ship, then sends his own wrestler, Zeus (former basketball player Tiny Lister, who teamed with Randy Savage against Hogan and Beefcake at Summerlam 89) after him. It's really cheesy, and I can't do it justice. Read the wrestlecrap review (when The Marine is released, I'm sure it will be re-posted) or watch the movie yourself.
