I just saw the Bob Holly promo, and wow, Brock f*ckin totaled him completely. They did the classice "BROCK NO! BROCK NO!" thing as it showed Lesnar powerbomb Holly wrong and break his neck. That was insane....but that promo was too damn cheesy.

Yeah i found that funny. Then when it closed up to his face it looke dlike he was sh8ting himself. Class.

Well I know it was against Stone Cold and I know it was Fully Loaded. Then he got another title shot in that triple threat match where he got his back injured and was out for a year.

Benoit has had multiple very close calls regarding winning the WWE Championship.

 

There was Benoit vs. The Rock at Fully Loaded 2000, in which Benoit had Shane McMahon in his corner. If I recall correctly the Title could change hands via Disqualification, and Shane framed The Rock with a steel chair, and thus Benoit picked up the Gold. But alas, the decision was reversed by the current Commisioner of the time Mick Foley, with good old Instant Replay. The match continued and The Rock picked up the victory.

 

There was also the Unforgiven, and correct me if I am wrong, which was Benoit vs. The Rock vs. The Undertaker vs. Kane. Benoit actually got the Pinfall on 'Taker, but 'Takers foot was on the bottom rope. The referee didn't notice however, and handed Benoit the victory. But what was to happen next? The decision was reversed again, the match continued, and another one of the competitors walked away with the belt.

 

Those are two of the chances I can distinctly remember, and I am sure there are others. Benoit is an extremely deserving competitor, and if it wasn't for Vince's power, he would be a multi-time Champ by now. He can out-wrestle almost any other Superstar you can name on the roster, and is tough on top of that too. Albeit he does lack in the same area as RVD, the skills on the mic. I believe if it was not for RVD's mic skills, (and Triple H of course), RVD would also have had the World Championship by now.

 

As we all know, it not only takes a great in-ring performance to be at the top, personality and other out of the ring skills play a part, more so in this day and age because of the 'Soap' type feel the WWE has adopted.

IGN gave it a 9.1, So ya, its going to beat the living hell out of the other wrestling games, as the highest rating they got was 8.2, god I cant wait! I have to wait until friday till i get mine tho..... Thats halloween night too, free candy or play smackdown for 10 hours?

sh*t this will be the first time in awhile that i havent preordered a wrestling game...i hope it doesnt sweep off the shelves too quick

 

cant wait to make my CAW....best part always...i cant wait till there will be online caw play ona good game like this one.

Yeah I think Matt's been looking in an old WWE Mag. Also there was one time on SmackDown! in 2001 and he was up agaisnt Stone Cold. It wa sin his home town and Jericho was out. Remember when they held the Tag Titles and were close. Well it was in Edminton and well Austin has about to lose yet he rolled him up after a Low Blow or something like that.

 

Also agaisnt Kurt Angle at Royal Rumble this Year. That Match was great and the reseption that Benoit got. Wow.

 

I think RVD will only get shots for a while and no way be able to win the Heavyweight Championship. Randy going for the IC.. Hmm. that could be OK when they will win it back and forth. A - Train Sucks.

Well it turns out im getting smackdown tomorrow, so I am going out for halloween. Im 13 by the way, and its free candy, so hell ya im going. Then one of my friends is going to sleep over and we are going to play smackdown like all night.

Kev, I feel like so old. The last time I saw any wrestling was in the days of Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Big Boss Man, British Bulldog, Earthquake, Mr. Perfect etc. etc.

 

I always thought Hulk was overrated, anyone agree?

 

I remember actually being proud of being able to do the Perfect-Plex on my nephew. What's the modern day equivalent move that peeps do the most today?

im not sure, i haven't done that stuff with friends for a while. i remember that me and a couple guys would get together and just play out a fake match. that was pretty fun. we would come up with what we were going to do and practice the moves before. it was all recorded too. pretty fun stuff

Smackdown is out! Damn, im like going crazy waiting for tomorrow to get my hands on Smackdown here comes the pain!!!! Damn....The first thing I am going to do, is create myself, then start out as a jobber in career mode. Then build my way up to the championship!!! I cant wait, or I might just start with Batista in a season. The career mode is absolutely insane.....just insane.

only if you overrate him yourself....i dont think he's overrated....put it down to bare facts...nobody in the ENTIRE buisness can get more crowd reaction that him....and obviously his best 'wrestling' years are behind him, his legacy can be contested by none, besides ric flair...and in more of a 'wrestler' aspect, bret.....basically...his character easily shadows out anything else like poor in ring skills...him and mcmahon are two of the only guys that could pretty much do nothing in a match, and have the crowds 100% support.

 

as for the game....im gonna pick it up tonight....i live near ea sports...i get to go do some 'focus groups'....which basically means i get to go test unreleased videogames and get free ones!!!

 

btw, austin is a washed up piece of sh*t...i knew something had to happen after jericho won, and the cage hadnt been used yet..

 

ah well jericho deserves the best title anyway..

If Jerhico is going to win the title i want him to win it on his own. I hate how they run him like that. Thats what im talking about. Jerhico shouldnt have help coming down all the time. However the 2 matches were perfect. Both guys were hitting moves PERFECTLY. Like timing and positioning was perfection. Absolutly incredible show those two put on every single match. I really think that was one of the better matches ive seen in awhile.

 

I think Survivor Series is going to be HUGE. Theyre advertising it soooo much.

 

I hope to get the game when my dad gets home...i was promised we could get it yesterday.....then today....and i still dont have it. So we'll see.

With all the reviews and such I keep reading on IGN and Gamespt etc., I want this game more and more!

 

I'm also pretty pissed off about the numerous rumoured release dates flying around for the UK. 3rd, 4th, 7th... Argh. I'm sticking with the 7th though, it's what mosts sites are displaying.

 

Still 10 days though... I need to pass the time..

Flair, Lesnar, Jericho, Orton, Cena, HHH, Christian, yadda yadda....the first four are basically the clinchers.

 

im hopefully gonna pick up the game tomorrow...the ship delayed a day over here on the west coast...but im happy...i got tiger woods for free today just by playing a new bond game that is still in developement...and discussing it and such.

I got Smackdown! Its such a big increase from the last one. Im still trying to get use to the new control setup though...loads of fun though.

Smackdown is a lot harder than the previous one. Im at Survivor Series right now. I started the season with Batista, but I created myself and used myself in a season, its a lot harder with a created player, but im like the greatest so Im doing okay.

he probably cheated like 5 times in that match...its little things that are still technically 'against the rules'

 

and i ALSO finally got the game...well finally, its been out for 2 days....i went thru a strenuous CAW process...goddamn that took like 2 solid hrs...

 

anyway my caw rocks...im just gonna start the season now....sucks that u gotta start with low stats, but like kev, i own at this game...the controls are basically exactly the same minus a couple things ive already learnt....me is happy...unfortunatly this, combine with online tiger woods 2004 and nhl 2004....is the most ridiculously time consuming thing ever....i love/hate my room..

 

on another note...i hear smackdown is pretty good tomorrow...i guess we'll see....heyman brings alot more to the table than people give him credit for.
