JBL portrays a bully with money, and everyone says how the character sucks and that he can't win without cheating. Where's the discrepancy? I know JBL is not the wrestler DiBiase was, but he's taken one of the best gimmicks of all time, and added his own twists and peccadillos to it to create a serious heel for the Smackdown roster.

Yes it has.. Heels rarely win without cheating.. I dont know what about this is so new to you...I just think you have some personal beef with JBL.

Want another example?? Take any of the defense's of HHH's title reigns as a heel. Sure he won with the pedigree everytime, but guess what, he usually cheated to set it up....pretty much everytime wether it be him cheating or interference. There is no difference..

He keeps saying nobody has ever cheated as much, when just about every heel champion of the last ten years has cheated just as much, if not more..

 

If he won cleanly you would complain even more because it wouldnt make any sense.

Yeah...but atleast HHH made it easy to stomach for the least. With JBL it's done so corny. There's nothing wrong with JBL the wrestler, but his delivery on it..lame. I swear if he won just ONE match straight up, i wouldn't complain at all. Anymore.

II really like JBL hes one of my favourate wrestlers and he has earned a spot at the top with many years of tag team wrestling(i hate farooq) and it does annoy me that his title matches end with orlando hitting them with the belt everytime, or heidenreich. it would be ALOT better to see the cheating done half way through the match and not as the finishing touch.

 

btw i thought it was halirious when ric flair was trying to get in the ring during triple H vs shelton benjamin i could not stop laughing he is a legend. i think he is going to retire as a wrestler and just become a manager soon anyway

His "Delivery" or whatever you hate about him is exactly what most of us like about him. Delivery is the way he portrays is character, how he 'delivers' it. He delivers great on the mic, and I think he is hilarious in character any other time. Did you notice that he was the only entertaining part of that Smackdown in Iraq???

 

I wish he still shook peoples hands on the way to the ring, only to use hand cleanser once he got in the ring, that bit was golden

 

I guess, like him or hate him, get over it. Because he isnt going anywhere.

Actually, to be honest, that actually got some good laughs out of me as well It was the first time that it actually looked like he and the ref were legitimatly stuck somehow, in the ropes.

Ya'll need to shut the hell up about JBL and his character. It might of already been done, but I can guarentee most fans don't even know it. The younger fans won't know who DiBiase is, and the older fans probably can't remember what it was like. Its a character that has endless opportunities, and that can be carried for a long stretch of time. Not to mention that limo with bullhorn's is stylin' and profilin'.

Wow Ive never seen so much heat on a wrestler. This is more intense than the heat against the Shek and Slaughter back in the 80s. People were PASSIONATLY screaming and yelling during that whole segment. Thats unbelievable. It looks like the beginning to a riot. Insane. I want to know whos going to feud with him.

I do agree that Batista is getting the megapush and is getting WAAAAY more fan support now. Im liking him being over with the crowd and improving mic skills. Still not very gung-ho on his inring stuff.

 

But that comes with being a super-over face, if he can succeed that, then the skills will not matter. As you can see the crowd is finally happy to see the sitout powerbomb!!

Neat raw tonight. And you guys are right, it is so much better live. Funny how many ads there are in it, too. In the cut we get its usually ads every 20 minutes or so, and little WWE clips and dont try this at home stuff inbetween. Live it's like ads every 10 minutes.

 

Eh, I've liked Batista for quite a while, myself. Not with a passion, but I've liked him. More and more recently, though. I dunno why too, but I love his music.

Great job by Hassan and Daivari (I guess he's only going by his last name?). After Lawler, they'll probably start feuding with and going over The Hurricane and Rosey. He even turned other Arabs against him. Brilliant.

 

Damn, I wanted Kane to go old school. And while he's a face, Lita looks like she still doesn't trust him. She'll probably end up going back to Matt (unless it turns out he hired Snitsky, but he was getting over, so it wouldn't make sense to turn him heel again).
